In your arms I long to be
As sunrise shines its light on me
Now on this bed so all alone
Wishing you would hurry home

It’s always you I truly miss
Your perfect smile and wondrous kiss
Days apart they seem so long
It’s just a few that you’ve been gone

But I don’t care just lying here
A couple days feels like a year
Your love my empty heart does yearn
As I now wait for your return

So hurry home, I need you so
I wish you never had to go
And if you must, know this is true
*However long, I’ll wait for you
Good morning beautiful

I can not cry
for that would only add
to the rain falling
in my heart,
forming puddles
in the emptiness,
filling voids
with misty sadness,
drowning my dreams
in the never ending downpour
of missing you
that is already
*overflowing
Good night beautiful

I’m wandering about the sky
My head up in the clouds
Often looking down below
At the large unruly crowds

Pointing up and laughing
Calling out my name
They think that I might listen
Now that is such a shame

Someone ought to tell them
It’s nicer up above
There aren’t as many people
So little push and shove

Perhaps a wayward sparrow
A balloon not held that tight
And yes indeed it gets quite dark
When day turns into night

There also is an angel
That I have come to know
Up here in the atmosphere
I truly love her so

Another way to see things
A different point of view
One that’s filled with happiness
Among these skies of blue

So you can keep your city
It’s too much of a chore
I like it up here in the clouds
With the one that I adore
Good morning beautiful

When caught of wretched moaning shrill
and rusted fence in spite
Where creatures stalk and blood shall spill
this wicked August night

Does call the wind in grand charade
of noises gripping sound
Beyond the weeds of sharpened blade
now crushed upon the ground

For as your eyes do cast your fear
with ridicule the seed
And cry your shining empty tear
for clemency you plead

Feel these fingers swiping firm,
flesh in tattered strands
Matters not how much you squirm
or pray with folded hands

When terror forms your face to bear
this crooked smile sneers
Clenching tight your matted hair
as breath soon disappears

Drenched of sweat and splashing mud
from footprints as you flee
Listen close the echoed thud
of nothing you can see

Languish deep with sorrowed call
these thoughts a’ roam your head
This night shall cackle at your fall
and drink when you are dead
Ok, yes, it's dark. It happens.  :)

I mistook
the sea for
the sky while
it slumbered
mid the garden
where I was
dreaming

Life becomes a golden meadow
basking neath a warming sun,
amidst butterflies and dandelion seeds
floating silently upon a
wafting breeze whispering
through a mountain valley
tucked away among rose gardens
and gingerbread wishing wells,
gleaning in bent knee proposals
and sunflower smiles reflecting
sapphire sky promises,
bathed in every beauty
the eye could ever behold,
*when you share it with me
Good morning beautiful

The wind this night
wafts in solitary melodies
through restless willow
branches weeping
in lilting violin strings
and raindrop piccolos
flowing in an off key
lullaby echoing in the
chambers of my
*lonely heart
Missing you
