The rose
The symbol
The promise
A flower that stands
As the only flower of life
No matter its color
It gives rings of passion
Be it I miss you
Be it I love you
The rose still brings that single promise
That the most beautiful are worth the ****** of its thorns
Hot water,
immerse me.
rid me of any and all impurities,
replace them with tranquility.

Give me the strength to pick up a razor,
without the temptation of,
disassembling it,
and sinking a blade into my skin.

Help me,
give me the strength,
that is needed for me,
to help myself.

Hot water,
I beg of you,
please,
save me tonight.
Hot showers have the power to save lives.
I have become obsessed
with living in this world of dreams
don't ever let me leave
and keep me awake
this is where I am suppose to be
Dreams will die
if I keep falling asleep.

Here my heart beats.
Here I am truly alive.
I never want to leave.

Come walk with me.
It's a gift, you see.
A gift only some receive.

Half the world is awake.
Half the world is asleep.
Follow the bird
follow it deep into the twisting trees
a forest so vast
like a sister to the seas

There a secret lies
Lost in the ages and memories of man
Follow the bird
You will understand

All the answers lost
and stories beyond imagination
A light will shine
On the uncharted nation
Piece of a story I am attempting to conjure.
Jumping rooftops & breaking down old doors
I am not a slave to time, what is it for?

With my brothers & sisters of the night
We live everywhere, together we fight.

They try to take us, away from our secret place
They can try, and they will fail the chase.

Join us if you are lost and alone
So you too can find this family home.
Randomly got inspired by "The Thief Lord" by Cornelia Funke. Amazing read.
You were in a place
We cannot fathom or compare
As if etched in stone
It never leaves your memory
That is why we silence our lips
Though our hearts are never silent
because you will never be forgotten
This is a small piece I have written to accompany a mural I created back in November 2010. I didn't realize how powerful words can really be until I heard that some of the veterans shed tears when they read this. This is for them. May our hearts always remember you.
