schedules arise within
time's seeming presence..
placed with  projections
of time's spacial future..

Borders and seas..

Many cellphone eyes
Recording savage news..
3rd.. Supremacy among races
History's brutality crying
New awareness enflamed..
4th.. Famine and survival
Scourges of worry and fear..
These Four:
Riding together
Through leaderless land..
Will they awaken us
From our fretful Dream
To a New Dawn...?

a soothing word
about a surface..
the choppy waves
have calmed and
the evening sun
reflects in a
placid mirror..
our freedom..
it seems
depends on
polishing to placid
our reflecting self...

To recognize

Our role in the

Apparent life we have assumed

And know for sure

The role is projected

From the Freedom which

Is...

wanting
unease
a sense of lack
contentment on hold
until we find..
once found
separation dissolves
and reveals
that lack we held
was all along
already
fulfilled as an
inner treasure..

however..
apparently..as
the journey repeats
and repeats
the contentment
we need and seek
thru failure and pain
must also fuel
the engine of
creation...

Yes...?

A teaching says
Do not judge for
That judging is
Judging oneself..

It seems
This is a caution
From our limited
Ego self..but is
Also a prompt to
Recognize the Self
We truly Are..

Recognition brings
The Lamp which
May be referred
When justice seems
To call for our
Judgment...

Cultish leanings

There is attachment to

The mysteries of life

Embodied..seemingly in

A pedestaled attraction..

Add beliefs of import and

Shadowed conspiracies..

A religion start-up..?

All dismantled by inquiry

Into the Self we are...

is that of our lives
of peace and welcome
and actually
home is what we are
in which
colors flow..
so..the immigrants
are searching for home
in a new place
not their old..
they
search for their
identity which is
in essence our own..
this journey is theirs
and ours to take
as we find our
common home...

When in the dark of night
before a glint of early light
informs of the dawn
we hear his waking crow..
Might it be that Rooster knows
what we have long forgotten..?
We are of the strong belief
in sequences gained from habit
while the Rooster knows
by instantaneous insight:
no separation at all
in the always dawning
light...

a glimpse of nature's eternity...

attention
on what is called
manifestation
should be accompanied
with simultaneous
Recognition of these
fleeting scenes
within You..through which
they are passing...

relative truth seems to reign
we know of differing advice:
honda or subaru..marriage or not..
some of those..religiously inclined
look for truth in the vastness of
scriptures and commentaries..
science searches in their observing
for what seems most elegant..
we all may benefit from some timely
advice: movie actors do not find
the Truth...

We are pleased to find

Nature's suggestions of

Hidden unities..

A unity thus found might

Disclose our Self  

Enclosing and making

Of our Self that which

Seems different and Other..

Gifting us to behold  the

Infinite Beauty of

Uniqueness...

Our Life energy
Apparently comes from
Knowing our real Self..
Knowing also our self
Which dreams in story
But thrives only as Self..
We choose our lens:
Self or self..and our
Perceptions unfold
In Freedom or slavery...

There is an apparent urge
To erase the markings of history
Which appear to stain
Visions of what should be..
History is a story appearing
In our reading in this moment..
Often justifying doings as right
Which can then be retold on
This Fourth of July..
But..alas.. clinging assumptions
Of division remain..

Statues are stories written
In sidedness and division..
What if the urge to erase
As we are observing in
Widespread places..is really
(Whether recognized or not)
A turn Inward..collectively
To bypass the assumptions and  
Recognize our inner Vastness
In which all history
Is written..and read...?

Let the distractions lie..
Know they are also made
Of that which we truly Are..
But for now..there is need
To surrender and quietly
Taste the Purity and the
Transparency of that which
We originally Are..before
The distractions seemed to
Direct our paths through
Circuitous and frustrating
Byways...

the words will come is
the biblical promise..
a promise which beliefs
lodged in appearances
often block..
there is trust that must
come from experience:
lingering as already Now..
what of words..?
Now..which we are
stands ready to Express...

Power..apparently

Is the mover and shaker

In our world..it is

Buried in a religion of

Separation..and wedded to

Another belief: I am

I plan..I control..I know..

Freedom..real Freedom

Is thereby darkened

Until..the dream is dreamt..

Awakening...

Arriving again
Fresh and green and small..
This Dependability is
Our signal that
There is a Source
Remaining when these
Small leaves wither and
Depart after their time
In the sun...

Simply asking for
Our attention Inward..
This the purpose of
Those unpleasantries we
Are right now confronting..
These are both major and
Subtle..It is the pull of
Grace..which has been
Pulling since we were cast
In the dream of separation...

This..our true Lens
Has been shaded by
Life-long conditioning..
A lens of separation
Depicting subject and object
Seems as our means of
Perception..
In pockets of humanity
There are many who
Have known the
Availability of the Lens
But most humans
Have not asked the
Question of how this
Lens may be recognized..
Such Recognition is the
Path to Peace
in our time..

Clarity seems
to be missing in the
Clutter of inner traffic..
The clutter loudly insists
When we strive to
Escape or remove..

Somehow
the need arises to
Recognize Clarity as foremost
Lurking behind all clutter
And allowing the clutter to
Dance its short dance on
Clarity's bright stage...

Pretends
To be evidence of
Permanence..after all
If we return to the scene
On the day following
We might see and agree
With the snapshot's claim..
It seems there is continuity
In the world out there..

We allow the appearance
Of fixity of the Snapshot
To detract from the Truth
That the Permanent resides
Without appearance and
Eternally within...

the mind
is a forgetting..

now in springtime
a robin gains attention
bringing the mind to focus
and perhaps to compare
this harbinger of warmth
with the chill times passing..

this is Nature's movie
and we willing actors:
expecting the robin
as temporary and
soon to depart..

yet the robin reminds
as it has before
that the robin and we
are made of
Nature's infinity
never departing...

This old biblical tale
Dreamlike in the telling
Could well be
Our own dream..
Events and places
Abruptly appear and
Dissolve..
Dream opponents
Philistines and a giant
Appear and fade..
But what remains..?

is a serious veiling of our true nature
and a sensitive subject when portrayed
within a metaphoric perspective..
truth reveals that depression simply is
the inability to see that we are not
the one we believe we are..we believe our
story..more..we are our story and our
story blankets any new identification..
we can only hope that there is a glimpse
of a blue sky midst the cloud cover
which when approached reveals the
immensity of who we are..and disperses
the temporary cloud of depression...

Anger
surrounded and penetrated
by glowing Awareness..anger
is righteous and serves
to right apparent wrongs..

when anger is unleashed
with cloaked Awareness
we meet with suffering
extending the dream..

nevertheless
all is Awareness whether
Awareness acts as anger
or we suffer to waken...

The Picture:

That's the Total

All there is..

That's it..

And you are not

In the picture..

Yet..be not troubled

For You are the Picture...!

Re-cognizing
Splitting for clarity
The meaning springs
Knowing and perceiving
Again and anew..
And a recognizing
(that word again)
That recognizing could
Have occurred long ago..
This is how we
After life's sinkings
Finally Recognize
Our Self
Again and anew...

Beliefs
Stand shattered
By those searching
To quench desires on  
Unfulfilling old paths..

There is a path..however
Older than old and
New as the present moment
Which stands ready
For our recognition..

Recognized it appears
As no path at all
This is the Recognition of
Sages and searchers
Startled to find they were
Already that for which
We all search...

we apparently need
to notice once more
and once more
the impermanence of it all..
coming and going
in and out
appear..disappear..

and an apparent need
to identify with
that which is not fickle
that in which all of the
temporary disturbances
have their time and say..

that is not something
but seems there anyway..
undisturbed..
yes..notice...

it is the dark shading
the tightly sealed blind
denying the light
at our core..
with the darkness
the creation feels
alone..separated and
fear shouts out..
explosions express the
darkness and isolation
with deafening sounds
and telltale sparks..
but dare I say
the sparks remind us
through the horror
of the shaded light...

My name is Legion
for we are many..
Many of my names are yours
and yours mine..
We live with clouded visions
named by outworn beliefs
and mistaken identities..
We desperately need
to  pierce the clouds
to discover the glowing
of  peace and grace lying
hidden behind our names..

Our unsatisfied minds

does Experience

Mainly it is flow
sometimes swift

and hearing which
the river can teach..
We make a shift:

to the river within..
And when the river
is found within
we know then
the river is made
of what we are..

an observer..positioning..
for not-posed snapshots..
in such manner
the photo shows the
in-between..those moments
when a knowing re-asserts..
a masking responsibility
softly subsides..
sometimes it is a photo
of longing for home
beyond the distance...

Sinking

we have a glimpse
an early understanding
of who we are..
the glimpse gained entry
via thoughts and feelings..

with this glimpse
the ego arises
draped as thought
and feeling
and makes mention
with congratulatory
exuberance..that we
have at long last
discovered our self..

but in quiet moments
the ego is afraid of
the vast blue sea
which we also have
glimpsed..surrounding
these thoughts and
feelings..

we have a cultured
ego which has been
living protected for
these..our many years..
but now the sea
threatens our self:
as sea stories
often end
in sinking...

Let the thought float
Observing it whole
As a fish or plane
In the sea or sky..
Now change focus
To the sea or sky
Allowing the thought
To dissolve as
All thoughts must..
Bring then notice
to that remaining
which we must Be...

are intense beliefs
in the otherness of others
the obvious separations
in life encounters..
loving of enemies
from this point of view
is nigh impossible..
however
recognition of who I am
expands indefinitely the
identity we claimed as ours
and  others..allowing now
a settling in truth: love
as formation of all...

This black being making
A gas station appearance
Intersection traffic
Horns and lights
Sunset shortly
Walking stone to stone..
Ignoring noisy polluted
Starts and stops..
A stoic warrior
In our time of
Heedless searching..

Then he flew and I
Transcended his moment...

Some Characters know their Identity
On the world stage..and know also
The real Identity of  all characters as
We engage in playing our parts..
But many of these..alas.. do not know
Their own Identity..

As a character finds life's difficulties
The Character allows as to
The pain of  belief in separation as
The cause of our common suffering..

To be a real Character on stage
We discover the Reality which
Has always donned the Character..
Our eternal Identity even before
Ancient Abraham walked and talked..

The word itself
Implies a limit..
With the limit
Freedom is lost..
And a search ensues
To find what was lost..
Many others are met
Billions perhaps
Also searching..
A tragedy until
A fortunate stumble
Reveals our SELF...
