Susan
You are a choosin'
the fusion
of scroogin'
and contusion
to send
me into
ecstasy
of an elasticity
that ends in electricity
or whether you even
remember me
and how I wanted
to introduce you
to tea
for two
on the front porch
of a southern home
with the fireflies out
on a southern night

Coo coo ca choo
as in regality.
This is mere formality,
people thinking disabled vets
are simple drips -
that they got dirt underneath
their fingernails
or something.
Just kidding there.
There does seem
to be a drip sense
ever since
the advent of
the modern day army brat.
Just kidding there.
There is this poem
less abstract?

Jingle Jangle
My heart's set on the female rock group the Bangles
and old time hit songs by groups like the Spanish
I even like Elton John's song Daniel
That's when I was a pretty cherry vet
and forgot what was it I read in some of the army manual
A lover can be cute
with you
about the same thing as what I want out of a daydream
with the old time fantasy it can lead
to holding hands and feeling this is a scream
And that's when what I call jingle jangle music
come in with thoughts of someone nice
to make you feel freed
and not costing one's seed
anything like that
for a modern day fee
Jingle Jangle music makes it so cozy because
of what the lines mean
as they make you feel
for yosekf
yoself yoself
and nobody else
not again
yes again

Madigan,
Mad again,
Sad again,
Glad again.
It's bad again.
He wants a fad again.
He thinks it's a gas again.
He feels had again,
like a lad again.
Is he a bad guy?
a mad guy,
a had guy,
the man from rad again?
tie-dyed shy guy?
** hoo he's just
not a bad guy, again.
He never was -
just like the fuzz!

Maggie Murch
Thought she had to lurch,
go back to church
and flirt.
Her feet weren't
right on the turn
of the firm
of the win
that would burn
Maggie Murch,
I've got to learn.
Oh Maggie
go back to the baggie
and sacky
and stop making me be your lackey.
That's, in my opinion, tacky.
She'll probably, behind my back, call me fatty.
Yeah lachte
But no, you're not like all that, or catty
and yeah you probably got a black friend named Hattie
I'll see you Saturday
and drop the name Mattie

Wafs are not for laughs.
Wacs are not for the masses
And yes, I'm on the make for those waves
Just kiddings,

Ben Johnson whose autograph i got at a
Rodeo in California when I was young
(I believe I've already mentioned that)
Robert Mitchum - he's also a poet
Lex Barker, whose build I admired back
When he was Tarzan,
Rod Cameron who seemed the epitome
Of a cowboy star,
Roy Roger, who seemed spritely ethical,
Marlon Brando mainly because of his acting
Job in On The WaterFront,
Charleton Heston, I thought he was a
Great actor,
Paul Newman - I thought he was a great
Actor too, not just a bunch of pretty boy good
Looks,
Robert Redford _ I like his basic looks as in
For Realness in a nice way
And
Peter Lorre _ he was him that was it,
Just to remember a few.

I gain all of a sudden,
2-3-4 pounds.
It makes me sgudder.
I hate the feeling of being bloated
that companies the weight gain
the dieticians wants me at 195.
I feel so frustrated: like owning
an Archaic De Soto
I feel next I'll pull up lamf
but 20 pounds differential-
I'm relieved it's just that
and in spite of shrinking in height
I don't consider myself fat.
Somehow I feel I'll get some
treatment that's preferential-
for not getting carried away booloo
too

Sometimes I get envious of some of the other men's selections of snacks and copy them but mostly for 3 o'clock snacks which we all look forward to.

I get dill pickles, chips, ridged potato chips, cheese *****, and an occasional Milky Way, and some pretzel sticks for example.

Some of the guys get those Vienna Sausage BBQ's or otherwise I can remember eating them for lunch years ago maybe when I was working my high school summer vacation construction job.

So I don't think I'm that much off. I've even reverted to my old desire for dried apricots and gotten he cheese dip crackers like some of the other men just to remain kosher.

When we were buying anything we wanted to for night 7:30 snacks I'd get Mounds bars and when allowed I'd bring in my own Cinnamon Toast Crunch for a snack with milk.

I could go on and on about our fascination with nice treats like being able to snack twice a day but that just reminds me that I suggested snacks in the suggestion box years ago before there were any and sometimes I hesitate maybe to congratulate myself since we're getting (implied by some of the RNs) an obsession with snacking.

And then there's 2 cups of coffee in the morning- they might think some of us have an obsession with that too.

Sometimes tunes come to me.
It fills me with glee
I don't know how to write
the noter
I just teach myself to sing them by rote
song titles
lines from songs
swim around in my head
leading me to go to the music urut
of mine
to see if I'll come kup
with an original idea
not something I just bet
would ring a bell
if my quote and title
was be thut.

I'm getting short.
I get winded easily due to my fat stomach
somehow I don't think I'm putting
best foot forward to get a girlfriend
I'd be right for
somehow I feel like I let my friends
down
somehow I don't think I've been as good
a Sturies as I could have been
so you see, I have my disappointments
favored do to speak and I've heard
if you don't have all your goals you set
out to achieve, you are regarded as
a failure by the expert.
If my finals involved the end results
of the above, then so be it I'm a
failure...
but I don't want to be that demanding
of myself - I like the song "That's Life"
by Frank Sinatra a lot!

Megan, a CNA here at the hospital,
Doesn't go a beggin'
She's got an income plus her new
Husband whom she met out in California
Where she's from, is an engineer.
They've got a dog she referred
To as pug
And they've bought a house
So there's a lot about them to toot.
And I guess the dog is dear
And doesn't bug
Them,
Their for sure friend
They go to the movies,
Out to eat,
And to the local Winery.
Plus they probably know the country seats
By not of the surrounding countries
No small rent.
Also I bet they've got some bounty
From their shopping
And they're a couple that's not
Shocking.
Best of luck
Maybe they'll be some little ones
To tuck in.
I'm sure in life they both will win.

Road Runner is my all-time favorite- I like the song by Junior Walker too.

He, Road Runner, that is , reminds me of mentally ******* friends of mine who always strut around in a huff.

"It"'s a scream.

Bugs Bunny and Mel Blanc (Mel, one of Jack Benny's sidekicks) voice for him - Bugs was frothy with my kind of sarcasm.

Mickey Mouse I thought of as a kind of a put-on for guys that look like that a little who were always cutting up.

I used to get that song Hey Mickie by Toni Basil read piped in loud in my mind, it seemed when it played on the jukebox at that sports bar I used to hang out at.

Yosemite Sam is like some of the severely mentally ill guys on my geriatric psych ward who are really abrupt, loud, and whose bark is bigger than their bite.

McGruff - I wrote a piece about him - he's not of course from a cartoon - but from my yesteryear, who was under the weather, hence the crime wave.

Just like Smokey the Bear, he was a lovable character.
I like King of the Hill and Family Guy at night for yukks.

On Sat morn back in the day I guess when I had enough time I used to get a bit of a kick out of Fat Albert cartoons and the Jackson Five stuff on lonely, for me, Saturday morning to perk me up for the rest of the day.

Back in the old days, they reminded me of figures I knew like them in real life.

Sylvester the Cat, Felix the Cat, Hekyll and Jekyll, Daffty Duck, and Might Mouse tickled my little boy sense of humor.

In comic Books, I was impressed with the sense of humor of Little LuLu.

In the newspaper, Hagar the Barbarian and Beetle Bailey tickled my funny bone a little.

That's all, Folks.

I imagine I can snow almost any female.
I'm sure I'm emphasizing enough that
I make the whole thing up about my
mindset there.
I think I need certain women more
whose looks in the face appeal
especially to me.
I think I love them especially for
various aspects of their bodies like
the thin width of their arms and legs
I imagine their scent measurements and
the way they speak to be exuded by them
just for a guy like me.
I have to fantasize but I don't want to
go around saying things like I can't get
"No Satisfaction" (a Rolling Stones song) and introducing like "The New Thing" (a Maryn Caye-Tammi Terrell song) just
to call attention to the fact like
there's much more to me than a little
boy in a candy shop of beautiful eco men
you see I'm trying to tone down my mixed
up ness but at the same time
emphasize my reactiveness.

I love me
I'm no tree
There's a fee for that
not including me
Shortstop the poetry
Prevent it from being more
about a tree

one a grouch, one decadent,
and one loose

Jewish good looks
it looks like if you were alive during "the revolution"
you didn't get took.
I don't think you're a Trump
fake all the NBA "studs"
also I know you're not a pup.
you look like you've lost weight
and are still attractive enough
that you're not in the take.
Your blandness (knockout 60s German

but you're far from a snot,
let alone a mannequin
trying to make it with some

I want you just a little
but as soon as I hear
you play the fiddle
I'll want you a lot.

The baseball pennant races are in
full bloom,
the good feelings of the 4th are there,
not that the disappointment involved
with dissident elements doesn’t put
a damper on it for me.
Yeah the wonder of the U.S. to
some people like me.
Yeah the anticipation of Labor Day.
Yeah the feeling that another
summer was confidently enjoyed.
Also I like the beginning of the U of I
fall football practice
I also like being able to come to grips
with the terrible terrorist problem
in this country
I also enjoy the air conditioning,
some of the new movie releases

Morning side heights was never like this
To say good morning in the afternoon like
Odd ***** doesn't become me as I greet
You on the morning-side,
The flip side
So you can smell the flowers in the
Early morning dew.
Open your eyes to get a style out
And smell, the morning coffee brewing-
Be you old-time movie starlets in
Randolph Scott movies like Mala Powers
And Dorothy Malone or my favorite love
Drip on a love trip flipping for you
Cady K one or two.
It'd be so cool
If we were in the old west parts that
Were peaceful.

All I got was rose petals inside a couple of pages of an old Encyclopedia Britannica book, but it was good enough of a present, from whom I don't know.

I suspect it was from my ex-wife.

Ringo just got a photograph, but I'm sure he treasures it - of me as a little boy, I like to pretend.

Petals, pictures. She loves me, she loves me not.

Yeah, there is a little bit of a flower child in all of us, even me,
and the love generation isn't actually a hate generation in disguise like I suspected.

I don't try to **** people with kindness, think I can **** just with my eyes, heard I was a "tough cookie" with a kind heart (maybe so)
but I don't think some people are such sour apples anymore
and I think that there's basically good in all of us.

By they way, do you ever notice you improve your lot a lot without even noticing it sometimes?

It's like at Christmas when they say "big" or is it "good" things come in small packages.

Sandt Amaro and Karl Spooner on the old Brooklyn Dodgers.

My 2 all-time favorite players of my favorite team the Yankees are
an putfielder acquired in a transaction Vernon Webb
and the Rookie of the Year for, I believe, 1957
an outfielder first baseman Norm Cisbern.

My 2 favorite all-time Illinois basketball players were sixth men Ed Perez and Joseph Bertrand.

My 2 favorite all-time Detroit Lions are Bobby Cayne and Pork Walker with Ces Bingaman a nice third.

My favorite all-time Cleveland Browns are Otto Graham and Frank Gatsby.

My all-time 2 favorite Chicago Bulls are Michael Jordan and Dave Corzine.

Mordern-day-wise, I like Parig of the LA Dodgers, Steven Aren who last I saw was with the Washington Nationals, and in modern Illini football I loved Monty Wilson. He hit so hard and the sound of a prize recruit who never got in on a game. D'Angelo McGary and I liked the sound of the name. Duane Brantley who was a large for the time offensive lineman out of Chicago wo dropped out before he had a chance to play.

This is just scratching the surface, I guess, since I'm not into the star system per se.

My mother told me when she was living
that i had "black blood", was
related to Heidi Selassie, the emperor of Ethiopia at that time,
and heir to his throne.
As I've said a musical therapist here said that
because I had A positive blood I had all bloodlines.
My mother also said the Sturies were
Scottish, Lithuanian, regular German,
and I got a phone call- maybe I've already mentioned this- back in the eighties
when I was rooming with a black family that I was
part South American.
My mother also told me that I was
heit to the throne of Lithuania at that time
and that the Sturies are high German
which mean we're sorta preppy compared to everybody else
and that we're related to the likes of
Plato, Christ, ******, Von Steuben, and Metternick.
Interesting.
At least it didn't lead to me disintegrating.
I also read on the internet that the Sturies have a little Cherokee in them.
That's about all I know right now.
For more about my bloodlines
except that we're related to Hugh Hefner (it said on the internet)
that a friend of mine told me the Sturies are
distantly related to Daniel Boone.

My 2 all time favorites, I guess,
are Lash LaRue and Johnny Mack Broome.
I remember seeing them in the Rose Bowl Parade of 1954.
For movie watching, I loved Rex Allen
and had nostalgic flavor for
Randolph Scott movies.
The villainesque type was Robert Ryan.
Autry and Rogers I looked up to
as well as Clayton Moore
who for those of you who don't know
played the TV Lone Ranger.
Lee Van Cleef in High Noon was awesome.
Tom Mix I just saw snatches of him in bits of his westerns,
but that huge hat would do anything for the prestige of a cowboy star.
That about sums up my favorite cowboy
besides the ones on the range,
Ben Johnson, whose autograph I got in a Rodeo popular in California
(I think I've mentioned it before)
and the ones in the rodeo.
You probably though I'd go on about almost a countless number of cowboys.

I like to read
and write
and contemplate drinking an
extra glass of water since
I get so thirsty on liquid restriction
Sometimes I do drink one
but just one cup
I also like to daydream about
smoking again- I thought
it was so much fun.
If I'm going off grounds
with one of my caregivers
I like to buy
a juicy CD or two,
pick up a Hip Hop Weekly,
and go to a really action movie

Liam Neeson stuff
or else go to a nice

particularly like
weekday daytime TV
except for the Harry Connick Jr

musical segment on
Ellen DeGeneres
I'll listen to the "fresh"
CD or CDs,
Change into more comfortable clothes
(I do this usually after I go out)
and relax for snack time
I like to do things on a
lazy day just for what I
find as a peaceful contrast
otherwise it's napping,

From Carry,
And your sense of humor
From George Carlin.
I'll probably,if I get married again,
Marry a Mary,
Maybe not,
But I'm sure it'd improve my lot.
Things get hairy,
Without a Mary
But never again will we tarry
Over calling each other Gary,
Mary.

Come with me
down the ladder of success a few steps
to a snowflake
in the wintertime, not to borrow
from Robert Frost,
to see Miss Merry Christmas
with her white muffler
and her grin like Jacqueline Onassis.
We'll find some competent people
to climb that
slippery, slimy, scratchy, stogie
ladder of success
with sweat, blood, and tears, to
borrow from Winston Churchill

He could shoot with the best.
He knew the bar scene was a test
And he couldn't have anything cress
Than conditions of sudden death.
A clown he went down
With the best.
Cowboy - showman
Ex - soldier
Son to father a doughboy.
Yes I know I borrowed
The motive and rhythm of this poem
Cut of the broad-
Way play music man.
No man.

What should have been
Now I'm certain
You've got AIDS
and have lived for sin
and wonder who you're about to lay
and you probably think I'm gay
because being a Muslim
I don't believe in promiscuity
and am not worried about the
life story of Jimmy Breskin
and wonder just what is gravity
Got to hell
or ill tell
and ring a bell
on how you fell for
me
making me
drown in love's sea
1- im just being irrational - the woman is probably innocent.

And tea for too few,
A sea where the moon is blue,
A rustic few
Seeing off
The sunlight
With an ink of blue
Deja Vu.
Norman Soldiers
Relinquish
In order to set out
A picnic dinner
In the basis
Soft camel, the animal
Quick had me a camel cigarette
Enough of nerve endings
That chomp at the bit
I won't smoke
But will soak it
In the ink of blue
For a souvenir
