They have
cute Latina noses,
bewitching eyes,
lush lips,
with a look of coy amusement,
nice dark hair,
and nifty builds.
They both seem
very lady-like for their age
and modest too
about their engaging *** appeal.
I loved to go out -
We'd have fun, what with their infectious
spontaneity
and their nice female Latina sophistication
as well as my interests
in all kinds of women
and their accompanying
good points
(and watch me ignore any flaws
that might pop up).

Santa in a rich dare red coat
the reindeer with
special decorations on them
the sleigh in a rich caramel
to contract with Santa's red
but and bags of toys in back
the sleigh over loaded with em
actually
and the most schooled expression
in Santa's face at it
as he cracked the whip
on the reindeer
I know a little theological fantasy
this is all
there's nothing I feel
wrong with that.

I like the abruptness

of hard rock,

don't get me wrong,

and the nifty shift in rhythms

it creates.

But over and over this staccato

beat - it seems like they're

just repeated those 2 lines

by Led Zep - Whole lotta love,

whole lotta love, do what they want

for everybody to just start

making love, and never stop.

Maybe they meant in an

ephemeral way

though - I wanna be

open minded for me

I want - no - not a live-in - girlfriend
Here at the VA - that's a real nono -
At least I've been told that - but some of my romantic interests coming to fruition,
A major breakthrough in Illinois football and basketball recruiting,
A good showing in football - maybe a bowl game -
And a terrific start to the U. of I. basketball season.
A good selection for new Yankee manager,
who suggests innovations
And some really good hot story line movies
If I have children - maybe one or two coming forth and claiming me
Some good luck for my sister Nancy
Continuous good health for both my sisters
Good health for my friends and no blows for them
Some special mail
My foster daughter Maria Elena  - writing another warm nice letter for me
All this plus four hard books for my sister to figure out how to order,
Three jazz CDs that might be rare, I don't know
Pharrah Sanders. Thad Levies and Elvin Jones
Three nicely cool CDs from an "affluent" friend
As usual a $100 gift card to where I buy my CDs
And maybe a few nice surprises
I hope it's a very special Christmas for me
Just like the above.

The story
Of Washington Post sports writer Shirley Povich.
You might ask
What makes great
Sports writers
Like **** Young
And Phil Pepe
And Dan Daniel
I'd say it has nothing
To do with gals
Names Laurie
But  knowing when
To mention
When it's even gory.
Joe Falls of the Patriot free press

Sporting news was my favorite
But now, I like local stuff

You remind me of the city.
Kendall,your legs are nice.
They add just the right spice.
Tishtish, you don't even go tisk tisk
On your way to sheshe
Who doesn't go heehee
At all.
On a necessary ball.
Ramona, I know I'm not your Joe Bolona
And you can tell you don't have to use
The tona.
Georgia, I bet you remember Portia. Faces. Life
You're that right.
On and on.

Ahmad Jamal and his classic tune Poincianno provided a backdrop
where I could relax and relate the poignant beauty
of the peace and madness back then surrounding
the Kennedy assassination.
Oscar Peterson churns out the notes
in a definitive yet light way
that would qualify as easy listening jazz
to some jazz buff in their weaker moments.
Eroll Gainer with his classic misty
haunts one with his
simple singularity of musical
paroxysms and leads into a fine repertoire.
George Shearing with his liltingness relaxed me
back then when I was recovering from the whole thing
And Camsey Lewis with his lightly penetrating rendition of
"The In Crowd" sustained my sense of humor and
helped me with my appreciation of mainstream jazz.
Cela, jazzmasters all to me
and yes like that light jazz
as opposed to poboy like Miles Davis
except for Charlie Parks
and yet I got into a Goth pianist Jack
then Thelonius Monk who was sorta jazzy
I acquired a mediocre taste for.

All the voices are wimped together,
Cloudy, and clear,
Here you'll see something that makes you dear,
Makes you tear,

And fret

Here you'll see
Progress outer tea,
A way to record
And lets get clear,
No fear,
And don't lear.

She's probably part Greek

As Reba McIntire says,
the heart is a lonely hunter.
but the lonely sea is its spear
So we go and dive into the sea
seeking to ride out our loneliness
till we hunt no more with our heart
In other words, at least here in America
we have a phrase like
from sea to shining sea in one of our songs
God Bless America
Loneliness is a state of mind
where we're fooking for a sign
to explain the times
as if the line in the cave analogy
of Plato's Republic
represents a fife and death matter
for alf of us
all the time
(not that all of us know about Plato)
and house the loneliness.

Our blackness is our power.
The difference we make
is what we do hour by hour
and what we deem our take.
Look we're beauty

To be black
is what we'll shout.
We may not look it
but what we got we took it.

Design it.
but refine it.
From drafting class
in junior high with the protractor
I have always
longed for progress
in architecture.
A harking back to medieval styles
(along with an old fashioned look in big cars)
in the seventies depressed me
but how I know
that Frank Lloyd Wright Sr. is
still respected
and the STate Farm Center
is a marvel.
There has been progress
just as much as individual success
so that the Parthenon
and the Colosseum
and the Agricole
and Agraharam
deposit on us
a new found lust
for the glory that was Greece
and that grandeur that was Rome.

Recently I've been reading a book about American Bandstand from   Philadelphia 1957-1963
and it's given me what I call the Bandstand Blues
where I recall a bygone era
when things were much simpler
and wish I was coping now
like I did back then
rather than being swarmed under by the undercurrent of
the jet age and the age of the computer,
where I had teen crushes
on the like of Arlene Sullivan, Carole Sealdeferri, and Trini Giordano
such that I daydreamed about being famous like they were someday
and going off and meeting them and dancing with them
Unfortunately that dream never
came true
Being a loner back then, I was envious
of the teen parties all the regulars had that I read about in the teen magazines
I would have like a
social life like that
wanting to go with what were considered the truly neat girls in school,
and vicariously imagining
myself up there as one of the
regulars in what seemed like
their bump and grind dances
and discovering my puberty that way
rather than through several girlfriends I had in school
a little bit
admiring the nice story of
**** Clark and wanting to
emulate him someday
which I fell far short of
as I grew old
although like I say, I managed to acquire some
wealth later on in life
Wanting to have trendy clothes
and trendy hairstyles
like the boys did
rather than being
rather dowdy in my opinion then,
and imagining what it would be like
growing up in probably what was a little more
sophisticated atmosphere back east
as I could tell from family vacations there
But I do cherish the fascination
The good side of bandstand in the book

At least I'm me.
Beauty petrifies
me,
saddens me greatly
except for beautiful women
and imagining them wanting me.
Hence beauty and a beast.
There's no feast

I'm such a beast.
We shall see

I love birthday cake
especially cake with thick
vanilla icing
but a German chocolate cake
would be a great one too.
I like it with ice cream
and icing colored designs on it.
Incidentally being sweetened
wedding cake turns me on too.
I hate it when you get a thin slice
of birthday cake due to being

I love it to see people eating
their cake with forks
I love how some motherly cooks
come up with a chocolate
icing cake with really
funny waking candles on it.
I like to blow out candles.
I like it when you're old
and the just have one candle
because there wouldn't be enough room

First of all I think it's an appropriate song for these times.
Kind of semi-tragic bittersweet beauty goes on
Caused, I think, by just the people
I've griped about - countercultures, youth,
revolution, the cult of the hippie
and I think that's good

I remember I felt so bluesy

when I was going through a hippie stage

Cheerios - honey - tea - coffee with Mom for breakfast - sunflower seeds,
a small pigtail, an earring, bell bottom
blue jeans - I had my mother hem 'em up for me
Oh, well, anyway, yeah, Sassy

if they sing along and blurt it
out in their dialogue.

I really liked Yummy, Yummy, Yummy, I Got Live in my Tummy
by the Ohio Express
Nice is Nice and Green Tambourine
by the Lemon Pipers
Simple Simon
by the 1910 Treatgum Company -

They all has sorta sweet jumpin' melodies compared to that of sing-songy hard rock
I liked the bubblegum rock of Jessica Simpson when she was in her heyday singing-wise
and as far as bubblegum soul I liked the Jackson 5, the Sylvias, the Jets, and the Five Stairsteps, and Cubie, especially their song Oh Child.

Yeah, teenagers back then - I thought they were both charming and happy-go-lucky and not that much into the mournful dirges of my own generation like Let It Be and Hey Jude by the Beatles.
All this war and economic oppression is bad enough as it is.
Why add insult to injury with depressing music?

I do like home-made burgers, the kind that our mothers used to make on Saturday night that even though they put hair on the chest - I felt like I had enough of that.

I like cook-out burgers straight-up, though.

I like the Big Mac. It's easy to get down.

I love the Whopper! It's so juicy cool.

I like the thick burgers that Hardees puts out, especially the baby-back rib one, even though the fat nauseated me and us Muslims aren't supposed to eat pork.

I like the mushroom and swiss, one of my favorite ones, it's got mushrooms.

I like the bacon cheeseburger. Once again, I shouldn't be eating the bacon, though.

Steak-n-Shake I'm unimpressed with, although I used to like their steak burgers with pickles and ketchup back when Steak-n-Shake was good, as well as their cheeseburger with 2 dill pickle spears and their lettuce-tomato burger used to be really tasty.

By the way, I'll throw in that I like the Chicago Dog much more that any old burger.

And that the bacon and cheeseburger is my favorite.
