A humane heart, a treacherous mind,
Sinned wit, humour entwined,
Fancy a glass? A goblet? A barrel?
Or shackled pigs singing last carol?
Black, white, brown, red,
Tender meat how we all crave,
Born of hate, born of disgust,
A vicious hunger, vengeful lust,
Stomp! Slash! Smash! Hush!
Hear the butchers’ skilled mush,
Hear the hope of hymn fade!
Hear the men jest and wade!
Hear blind men slay men!
Theirs was an inexplicable love,
A ruthless passion, an undaunted vow,
A hindered Union, an unsung sonnet,
A bit too often a lingering lament..

Hear! See! The valiant approach!
Hear! See! The sea scorch!
Hear the gushing waves sedate!
Hear the mighty shore reciprocate!

All thy fury, passion, vigour,
A veil! An apt veneer!
Hear! The ocean hide an ache!
Hear! The shore quiver and break!

O! They meet how often a day!
Alas! How soon they part away!
Every moment a fading memoir!
Every memoir an awaiting adore!

The Ocean lets loose it's brace!
The shore holds but a brief embrace!
Watch the lovers’ timed waltz!
Having it all yet having nothing at all….

— The End —
