Retreat, they all said to me
Mind you this was after my rant
About how Ive walked into a room
Full of people, a cafe of like minded
High strung caffeine ingesting
Tea pots, pouring over the latest
In fashion, or tech, or art magazines.
And as you would know, my friends know me pretty well
So they knew this was a conundrum of catastrophic preportion;
For me to feel hung from the roof
Supports, to be chained to wall
And feeling prisoner in my own skeleton, and it wasn’t even like my nakedness was showing
My flesh covered those bones
How else would my muscles still be intact and my blood not horribly covering the floor, marking every step I took from the parking lot to the front door, all the way to counter where they ordered me a large cup of regular Columbian, roasted to perfection and poured over those same tech, art, and gaming magazines so generously set out in a fashion attractive to the eye. So unlike the flesh I wore tonight, on this friendly outing.
