Daystar - shining bright
In the morning strong
Daystar- fought for right
In a world that’s wrong
Daystar - wouldn’t go along
Just to get along
Daystar - Lived her life
Beyond the throng

Daystar - Tethered together
By love with Evergreen
Daystar - Fiery yes indeed
But still serene
Daystar - Not a bone in her body
That was mean
Daystar - Pioneer of the party
Known as Green

Daystar - In our hearts and minds
She will always be
Daystar - Followed her path in life
And her destiny
Daystar -  The progeny of black artists
Whose works we can see
Daystar - Like the  Indegenious Peoples
In her family tree

Daystar - A past master of
Literary arts
Daystar - Whose essays and books
Touched our hearts
Daystar - In a word was brilliant
Yes she had smarts
Daystar - Left us her legacy
As her transition starts

Lil’ Wayne
Has gone insane
He’s backingTrump
The black man’s bane
I know Wayne’s not
A human being
But I can’t believe
What I’m seeing

Lil’ Wayne
Has gone mad
He lost the street cred’
That he had
If it wasn’t so sick
It would be sad
To see him
Reaching out for dad

Lil’ Wayne
Just ain’t the same
And I don’t know
Who’s to blame
He backs Trump
Please explain
Hasn’t he caused us
Enough pain?

Lil’ Wayne
All up in the frame
Smiling with Trump
Like it’s a game
What it is
Is a crying shame
Guess that’s the price
He’s pays for fame

I’m quarantined
Time passes slow
And I’m running
Out of dough
How far does a dollar go?
What the future holds
I don’t know?
Life’s become a real **** show

I’m quarantined
Can’t leave my house
I’m keeping company
With a mouse
I’m about to get
Myself ******
If God willing
I can stay housed

Thousands share
My sentiment
I can’t pay my
Monthly rent
And my landlord
Seems hell-bent
In kicking me out
He’s that intent

I don’t bother
Getting dressed
Speaking truthfully
I’m too depressed
And I don’t have
A job no less
But that you might
Well have guessed

I know he thrills you
While he also kills you
So will you still  go
To the Trump Rodeo?
We’d like to know
It’s not a James Brown show
Where fans have to go
In the rain or snow

I know he turns you on
But enough to mourn
Long after he is gone?
Cuz you lost your senses
And paid the consequences
Of the virus spread
Hear what I said?
You could well be dead

What’s so fascinating
His style of debating
That most are hating?
Or is it his coiffure
Maybe it’s much more
Than how he wears his hair
That brings you there
Just to be fair

But whatever it is
The man is like the wiz
I’m talking square biz
Cuz people are hurting
And behind his curtain
Is just smoke and mirrors
Nothing that should scare us
It should just prepare us

They’re dropping like flies
Wherever he appears
But we have a president
Who never cares
About the consequences of
The actions that he dares
While acting as if
He’s unawares

There’s only one thing
That he’s focused on
Getting reelected so
He isn’t gone
From the spotlight that
He’s coveted all along
He’s a weak president
Who projects like he’s strong

Meanwhile he talks about
Having turned the corner
While there’s an increased need
For a local coroner
He blame the pandemic on
A far eastern foreigner
And manages the virus
As if he’s a warrener

The fact of the matter is
He’s a total disaster
But he thinks he is
A past master
When it comes to everything
That he might be after
Which causes derision
And outright laughter

It’s not the doctors
Anymore
Cuz Trump’s in charge
And that’s for sure
He wants a comeback
To ignore
The actual science
He believed in before

The numbers are going
Through the roof
The hospitalizations
And deaths are the proof
He’s always been
The enemy of the truth
While Doctor Fauci
Is a coronavirus sleuth

The Faucis of this world
Rely on the data
While Trump pretends
That it doesn’t matter
It’s his turn at bat
And he’s the batter
For the American public
Nothing could be sadder

Trump thinks that he can
Talk it out of existence
We can tell by his constant insistence
That we’ve turned the corner
Because of passive resistance
Never mind the mask
And keeping social distance
Cuz we’ll have a vaccine
Long before Christmas

Factory jobs
Ain’t coming back
Unfortunately
That’s a salient fact
Trump’s statements to the contrary
He needs to retract
It won’t happen by fiat
That’s presidentially backed

Factory jobs?
I’ve got news
Have gone out of style
Like high buttoned shoes
Stop lying to the people
You’re not Howard Hughes
You haven’t created a thing
Nor have you paid dues

Factory jos
Let’s shed a tear
Are past icons
From yesteryear
All but vanished
As they disappear
They no longer exist
As you might fear

Factory jobs?
Mr.President please!
We need a hand
To get off of our knees
You don’t wanna confront
That deadly disease
Which could bring us out of
This economic freeze
