I want poetry and embraces and car rides.
I want ice cream and nose touches and sleepy smiles.
I thought you were something
that you
are not.
I fell in love with the way you
made me laugh, smiled, and how you looked when you
slept.
I think I fell in love with who
I wished
you were.
Because, my love, I don't
recognize you
anymore.

Something I've learned
is that these
hole
inside of us
cannot all be filled.
Sometimes we just have to learn
how to be happy
with them.
