it's always about what
we will have when we
get there and what that
slice of bread will look
like on my thighs, I never
wanted this, i never wanted
food to dictate my life.

The Wanderer
We've all seen him.

The man on the train asking for "fare".
The guy on the corner with a sign saying
"Help
Homeless
Hungry"

We know the smell of garbage, *****, and despair.

That's why we have headphones isn't it?
That's why we have iPhones and blackberry's .
Why make eye contact when we can just look busy and pretend that creature isn't there.
What's wrong with that?
We all do it.
We all wish they would just get a job or at the least go someplace where we don't have to see 'em.
That's not too much to ask, that's no too much, is it?

I know! Let's make them fight for money!
Let's make them clean the streets and in exchange we'll give them *****, sandwiches, and meat.
That'll do just fine.

That should solve the problem indeed.
Ignore, ignite, and indulge.

As long as they don't bother me.

As long as we don't have to think about it or be faced with the inconsolable truth that maybe, just maybe, that the person sitting there is a human, and that at some point that person sleeping there was probably
just
like
me.

Silence

Lexie
Its welcome in the darkness
But scary in the light
It leaves me feeling empty, cold and tight
The contrast of the noise
The difference of confusion
A quiet I can understand
A battle I am loosing

A child afraid of noises and whispers
Not knowing the real fear hides inside
Mixed with the truth
Mixed with the lies
Hidden from protective eyes

The moment of peace
The weight of tears
Pain carried through the years

If you live your life to follow the sunset
You'll surely end up where you started,
For beauty is fleeting like the day
And charm is deceptive; it passes away.
But when evening is nigh
As the sun elapses sky,
When the age of winter approaches
And pursuit of youth is all but hopeless,
I'll hold you and look love in the eyes
Clutching close my everlasting sunrise.

I glared Pandora in her sinful eyes
And simply asked her, "Why?"
Concerning all the dreadfulness unleashed upon the earth
And only for a peek, for the sake of curiosity.
Serpents and plagues spewed past her decaying lips,
Tears streamed and turned to blood
On contact with her ancient skin.
Her eyes pooled and screamed "I'm sorry,"
But faint and drowning, as if under oceans:
Seas of anguish
And centuries of bearing blame.
