There she is,
The girl of mystery.
I always wondered
About her history.
Yet my thoughts all fade
Once eye contact is made.
Writing, fiction, short, poem, creative writing, love, crush,

There is a quiet space
where we escape from all our care,
An envelope of peace and love
where our two hearts rejoin.
Here we talk and pray and play
as with one heart we share
While we cuddle in these treasured moments we purloin.

Here we rest as Husband and Wife
and share as one this bed,
While as parents we toss and turn;
hearts echoing the other’s beats.
Here we find a solace in our love well voiced,
with worries left unsaid;
As we cherish our precious moments between these sheets.

I need a rainy day, but not the cold kind.
The kind that happens on a summer day
where you can sit outside all day
on the back porch watching it-- but, we don’t do that anymore.

I can hear the rain falling, every drop, as the fists swing.
I knew it wouldn’t stop.
I knew the only thing I could do was fight it,
but how are you supposed to fight the rain.

Every word is lightning, striking through every nerve in my body.
You know I’m the one with the sharp tongue,
but you continue to strike, Mr. Lightning.
Why do you like so much to hurt me?

It seems that the storm is above my head,
it follows me, throughout the house . . . there is no escape.
I don’t know what I did
to make the rain love me so much.

in so many ways
they are the same
a lasting smile
contagious laughter
a mysterious past
a focused future
one goal in mind
but carefree along the way
somehow they both
entice me
and i need more
than what I have

but they are so different
to one, the talent
the humility
together make a passion
so deep, so deadly
so alluring
despite his dedication
he is lighthearted
his wit is biting
his spirit refreshing
and he doesn’t know
how great he is
bright, brilliant, beautiful

and then the other
so dark, so harsh
his talent lies in his ability
to vanquish the sight of others
and love himself
no talent but confidence
but a confidence so rare
he’s available, he’s open
he spreads like fire
who doesn’t love
flirting with danger?
so unique, but so dire
arrogance unparalleled
dare he exist as anything but a villain
insolent, irreverent, irresistible

it should be clear
who to love
cling to light, run from dark
love what is right,
flee from desire
but it’s not so easy,
as they are the same inside
but convey it differently
lust is deadly
but so is surrendering oneself
to the promises of another
spoken or otherwise

in so many ways
they are the same
a lasting smile
contagious laughter
a mysterious past
a focused future
one goal in mind
but carefree along the way
somehow they both
entice me
and neither desire
to return my affection

I love you.
I will never abandon you like everyone else.
Never would I hurt you,
Unless you disobey me.
For I own you.
You are my property.
Like a little teddy bear I cuddle
And squeeze you until your stuffing pops
Out from behind your eyes.
Your beautiful eyes.
Watch and observe.
Observe your body, disgusting.
I provide goals for you.
Something to do, a challenge to accept.
No matter how many times you cut the cord,
We will forever be attached.
I, as a newborn
Feeding off all that is you.
Or I, as your mother,
Protecting you and entrapping you, inside my womb.
Our lives depend on each other.
We are one.
United through your blood.
Your every breath.
I am your best friend.
Loyal and honest.
As long as you have me,
You need no one else.

Home for me

Has become

That place

On your chest

Where I sometimes

Rest my head

Home has become

You

The arms that hold me

The lips that melt into mine

The hand that holds onto my hand

The heart that has finally made

Love worth the fight

You my love

Have become home.
