*~a beautiful nothing, my something~
Today all the linden trees shrouded in black, no flowers only death, so quiet crept
killing summer bees, that can no longer sing - of honey flowers afield
death crying at the door, their silence praying to be heard
and still unthinking man poisons our fragile world
Today I attended a memorial for the 50,000 bees that were killed last week at a Target parking lot in Wilsonville, Oregon.  http://www.organicconsumers.org/articles/article_27792.cfm

Pesticide and Herbicide use needs to stop, we are killing everything, bird, bees, bugs & us!
No round up either, that stuff is bad, bad news, lots of horrible health issues linked to it
The sun is soft this year.

It sits so still above the carpet of the clouds,
Bashful and modest
For its own resplendence.

How I understand Icarus,
And his moth-like lust for
Its motherly warmth.

How I wish to slip beneath its surface
And to find myself bathed in
Life and light.

How I would forgo the steel of the sea
And the cold blue of the sky
To return to the star that birthed me

And all of my love for words.

rose petals grazed your cheeks
and daisy chains were woven into your hair
and your lips were stained as red as cherrys
and you looked happy
but on the inside you were dying

you were crying so much inside of your head
but on the outside you smiled
your lips bright still
and you wanted to cry, to let it all out
but that would ruin the façade and the mascara you'd put on

because the world didn't see how broken
you were
all they saw was the pretty girl with no troubles at all
and now you're gone, forever and ever
because the monsters in her head finally got her

She was 17
He was 19
She kept to herself, head always buried in a book
He broke hearts and caused trouble
They met at a train station
She was sitting on the bench, clenching a book
He was leaning up against the brick wall
eyes on his watch
waiting for the train
so he could meet his dealer
The roar of the train echoed in their ears
She got up
Her brown hair blowing back in the wind
He saw her from the corner of his eye
She began to walk towards the train
book still in hand
sun shining through the white lace of her flowing skirt
His eyes stared her up and down now

She begins to run
her light black sandals picking up pace
not even realizing it,
He begins to run too
heart beat rising in his throat
It was as if an angel had slowed down the train
or time itself
She feels the warmth of his arms around her
the trains engine screams at her
He pulls her back, holding her close
they collapse on the platform
watching the train fly past on the tracks
tears fall from her eyes
sparkling like tiny diamonds
He calms her down, brushing the hair out of her face
softly saying in her ear
"shh. you're okay. you're okay."
People talked frantically
dozens of eyes on them
The book she was reading only a feet away
She stops crying for a second
and looks into his blue eyes
He looks back into her light brown eyes
"Why did you save me? Why didn't you just let me go?"
Red and blue lights flash in the background
He feels a warm sensation in his heart
"You wouldn't have known who you would have fallen in love with
and I wouldn't have gotten the chance to buy you coffee"

That, my darlings
is how my Grandmother and Grandfather met
and still together till this day.

proof:
love is timeless
Art
Don't ever confuse yourself
for a person
who makes art

You are Art personified
and preoccupied

Don't delude yourself
You're not like them.
