Exhilaratingly Enlightened...!
I think of nothing else but you, / No other dream comes into view. / In shadowed light your presence gleams,

It's a Piece of Cake
Everyone told me life was hard but it's a piece of cake / All you have to do is bend yourself until you break / Compartmentalize yourself for someone else's sake

When you're sitting in your room with a cigarette in your mouth, / Listening to those deep, sad songs, / Some people call this emptiness.

Until morning comes
There is a warmth that survives even the longest nights. / It lives in crowded streets and quiet homes, in the way neighbors lower their voices not out of fear, but to protect one another. / It lives in the courage of daughters and the steady presence of sons, in elders who remember other winters and still speak of spring.

hate in my heart
I hate how much you love her. I hate how much she makes you smile like that. I hate how much you yearn for her, can you just think of me once in a while? you say i'm everything.....but compared to her I'm not even a fraction of everything. You wont say it but i know i know i know i know. She always leaves and shes gone but I'm RIGHT HERE and you still wont choose me, I know when the time comes, you probably wont choose me and I'm trying to accept it and enjoy the time i have with you because you are my whole world but... it still hurts and i cant spend all my time with you when shes always on your mind, its like I'm not spending time with YOU but with someone who just looks like you. It hurts so bad, shes always on your mind and you say you think about me but it's her, i don't want to be her, but i want to be enough. and she second she puts her foot in the door, its all about her you just open your heart up for her and you vouch for her and you're so locked out with me and it just hurts, pain, but i love you and I want you and I will always fight for you and never leave so, I will just take the moments with you I can, and give you my all, and hope its enough...

Prose
You didn't love me, you loved the idea of me. You loved the memories we could have made together -- the memories of a person you dreamed of when you lie awake at night praying that every senseless hope would spark an eternal flame that only existed in your mind because in reality we were never meant to be. I was the hero in a comic book, and you were the writer who put forth their blood, sweat, and tears into a beautiful peice of work that would never be published. But dreams never do come true, and most especially not me and you.
