Catnap

Just woke up now
My eyes still puffy
Can't believe this lovely dream
I had of being with you.

I dreamt I took a plane to you
And stole into your house
Crept around in search of you
But heard voices, hid beneath a bed!

Then some granny came into that room
Shuffling in and mumbling low
She lay down on that bed and tried
To wrestle comfort from sagging mattress.

Her nagging complaints drew them all
While I froze in fear, yet so alive
I shut my eyes and waited bated breath
While they tended to the dame.

Then you leaned down and saw me there
I turned, you looked right into frighted deer eyes
You ensconced the granny to another room
All left the room, turned out the lights.

Then fifty minutes later, when all asleep
I felt you pulling out me
All stiff by now, we rubbed a bit abed
And settled into shy embrace.

You kissed my eyes by sullen moon
Raking crescent fingernails over me
Barely hold the delight; no more
Dazzling slivers of light dance in your eyes.

But with time not on our side
We subtly reach that exquisite point
Where I hover twixt your crux
I wait and wait, then gently ****** ....

I yearn for you to move with me, oh!
And when you do, you writhe and twist
Then delicious thrills outwit in surprising bend
As you . . .

(.......)

(Daddy, daddy, please I want some ice-cream!)

Ohhhhh, crap!
This sure is one bedazzled catnap I did not want hijacked.

Based on an actual dream, which is true
Except for the parts which are not! :)

come to midnight we commune
imbibing nectar of the moon
solitude with soulful pleasure
stealing free of hours measure
silent shares diffusing scent
alleviate our discontent

'Tis better to have
Heavy beads 'round my neck than
Your murderous hands.

When did you stop loving me?
Or maybe the question is why.
Sometimes I think we made a mistake,
But I can't buy into that lie.
We were just kids when we first met,
Kids when we fell in love.
Sixteen seemed so mature at the time,
But I see now it was never enough.
Do you remember the night
That I snuck out of my house,
And ran all the way to you?
We climbed up to the roof,
Laid back hand in hand,
And tried to count the stars.
You held me in your arms.
And every so often, you'd kiss my cheek
"One, two, three for I love you,"
you always used to say.
Your voice has now faded deep into my subconscious.
Sunrise stole our sweet moment away,
But when I slipped back
Through my window that morning,
I could taste you on my lips.
Sometime between that morning and this,
Your taste has been replaced by berry chapstick,
And your touch, by another.

Get your favorite pen.
     Do not seek inspiration.
           Let it come to you.

Short and sweet
like the life of the diabetic

We're all hypochondriacs
To the human conditioning

We've been taught
to be themselves
not ourselves.

No child left behind while evolution is staggering
Tripping our own feet divided by class systems
Get off my lawn

They're still asking,
"where do you see yourselves in 5 years?"
and I still don't know,
this short-term impulse control needs to learn longevity
but really I'm working on my punk rock opera

no class plan
but urging of my body
yearnings of my soul
guide weary friends
with serious joy
for one sacred hour
meet as we are
together

life can overwhelm
our brains soon stall
overloaded with that
confusion out there..
changes and edges
these matter most..
in natural selection
differences do rule..
patterns repeating
must be discarded
same old sameness..
survival succeeds
his elegant view..

thus a long chapter
bringing this day..
has time now arrived
to finally meet those
patterns of old..?
patterns most humble
enfolding of change..
fiercely holistic and
formed as images
in many dimensions..
their sharp message:
sorry.. without us
nothing would be...
this is based on
Richard Dawkins,
"Redundancy Reduction
and Pattern Recognition"
easily found on Google..
I hope my reading
is reasonably accurate..
if not, apologies to Mr. D..!

The unorthodox are the true prophets
for their ways are those of the future,
so in the now, most kings get their head cut off.

But as death is the greatest prophet,
for it never fails to come true,
their martyrdom proves their ways truer than the footsteps of their fathers,
so in the face of adversities;
never be afraid to be a lonely Jesus on the Cross.
“Most young kings get their head cut off”—Jean-Michel Basquiat
