I await tomorrow's world,
the promises and hope;
that come to all believers,
as with today, we cope.

I await the sunshine,
that never fades away;
that dissipates the clouds,
that obscures our way.

The day when troubles end,
when all's replaced with joy;
that I knew in innocence,
when I was but a boy.

I await tomorrow's world,
when the morning star will come;
and our restless adversary,
will completely be undone.

I await with prayers and song,
to usher in that day;
when the world will be at peace,
when they will know the Way.

Just a little while with love,
just a time with pleasure;
just moments in the sun,
laughter, without measure.

Just a walk down memory's lane,
with pieces of a dream;
with fragments of a song,
with life's fast, fleeting scene.

Just a blink of sweet delight,
with romance and with you;
scattered pieces of a heart,
from folks who once, I knew.

Just a shadow from the sun,
that quickly fades in space;
just the lingering perfume,
of the earth's sweet face.

Just a flicker of the past,
when life was always grand;
when in love's embrace,
you softly took my hand.

I'm dressed in blue and green today,
the colors of the mighty sea;
the color of the earth and sky,
flow in my veins through me.

Bicyclists climb distant hills,
'neath clouds of silver-grey:
bright dots among the landscape,
pedaling their hearts away.

I've never seen the grass this high,
nor so many shrubs in bloom;
Queen Anne's lace, lupine flowers,
dance in a breezy tune.

The monsoon rains have come,
with all it's frightful power;
with hard and driving force,
instead of just a shower.

Half a year's total comes quite fast,
flash flooding in dry creeks;
but nothing escapes water,
as it's own level it soon seeks.

Then the sun regains its throne,
once more, the sunny reign;
dispelling all dark clouds,
over shadowed plain.

Don't call me your sweetheart,
I'm not your sweetie anymore;
your sweetheart left a while ago,
when I walked out that door.

At first, it was just quibbling,
why this, why that, what for?
then it became a battle,
then it became a war.

I just wanted love and kisses,
you wished to be, Top Gun;
what once was two in love,
was no longer any fun.

So I gave you what you wanted,
your freedom and your choice;
I hope that you're contented with,
the sound of your own voice.

So, don't call me your sweetheart,
what we had is void and gone;
and all we have are memories,
like in some old country song.

Do you even miss me, mom?
Do you remember the way I smile.

You'll be facing an adult soon
Though you left me as a child.

Do you know where I am, mom?
I've no place to call home.

Sleep has lost its rest
And I'm feeling so alone.

Do you still want me, mom?
I'm slowly forgetting your face

It's hard to love you, mom
Though in my heart you keep
Your place

If I die today,
I want a paper free eulogy,
I want to be buried home,
Lay me down easy,
Ready to meet my God.

If I die today,
I want it to be silent,
White roses and metal stand by my casket,
Slow music,
Fine wine,
Drink it down in the memory of me..

If I die today,
I don't want pretence,
I don't want want people to say what I was,
Coz its already too late.

If I die today,
I want the one I shared with my bed,
Because she is probably the last thing to roam in my head.
