DieingEmbers
So many follow me
don't they

realise

I'm lost

too!

I remember how your brown eyes shine in the sunlight stretching through your truck windows;
& I remember how we used to do the same,
like a bang & then oh,
such a whimper…
—-
but like a supernova, what we had brewed with so much energy
[all. too. soon.]
& it reached the point where we glowed as brightly as we possibly could be.
so our walls bounced off of each other,
& the implosion consumed the both of us.
-
so we continue to exist out in space somewhere,
mere particles of cataclysmic stardust resembling what we once were,
but what we had was lovely & brilliant;
(& isn’t that what we are:
lovely &
brilliant &
temporary?)
-
but hell, do we shine.
supernova: noun-- A rare celestial phenomenon involving the explosion of most of the material in a star, resulting in an extremely bright, short-lived object that emits vast amounts of energy.

DieingEmbers
Copulation of the minds...

as word play
leads innuendos to fornicate
upon the poets tongue...

unrestrained
his fingers give voice to wanton
carnal desires

laying the reader bare
to writhe
helplessly beneath his hands

with ink stained kisses
he forces
words into their mouths

a breathless sigh
resonating his ache to be heard

as he stands naked before them
offering himself
to their voyeuristic gaze

before taking them upon the sheets
in punctuated passionate
embraces

leading them toward the ******

they so

cried out for...

Jesus I'm Good.

Fate

Michael W Noland
With baited breaths
A bubbled pink mesh
Emerges from his chest
And with one blessed heave
He squeezed
Intently
Passionately
Eloquently
From the trigger
Unto pin
Penetrating primer
As gas blows back
And the bullet spins
Through the barrel
Exiting in a flash
Of perilous
*******
That missed
And he slumps back
As the casings
Clinking
Toward my feet
With a coil of smoke
Lifting in the breeze

A palpitating essence
Surrounds him
Fluctuating
Darkening
Pressing in

On his chest

His breath
Different than before

As he speaks his name
Into his hand
As another man
Disoriented
In the echoes

He lets go
Of that which
Can not
Be undone
But traced
In the flickering lines
Of the place
That once existed

Shining

Reflecting
In his face

He smiles
In sedation
Embracing
Whats expected

And goes blank

Awake

Again

My silence
It trembles
Of a thousand
Shouts
Quieted
In restraint

My wordless gaze
A novel
Of your pain
Written with
Fountain pen
Atop the skin

My existence
A prism
Of your
Incessant
Blur
Of the light

.
Tis not with the eyes I see you
for they are blinded by your beauty
tis not by my touch I claim to know you
for they are fooled by your depth of gentleness
tis not by scent I recognise you
for perfume and creams mask thy fragrance
Tis with my heart I see you the true you
the you hidden awaiting to be found
tis with my words I claim you the real you
awaiting to be awoken with a kiss
tis with my soul I inhale you the only you
that awaits to imprint herself upon one

who is willing
to know the woman behind the mask.

She
still had the corsage

and

the photograph

but she had long since lost

the smile.

And when I fell, I fell for every inch of you.
The miniscule details that the naked eye would miss.
I fell in love with the way you sipped your tea
And the way your lips looked pressed around a cigarette filter.
I fell for the way your fingertips caused electricity to run through my veins.
I loved every follicle of hair, every fingernail and freckle
These things consumed and wrapped me in their arms
They infected my brain until it was all I knew.
My heart filled and exploded from these things I felt.
I was scared
And I ran
And I’m sorry.
These details still swim in my skull and I try to get them to disperse.
But there’s no escaping something that’s become a part of me.
So I'll yank at my limbs and dismember my ribcage and pick apart every last aching memory of what I've done to you.
And I'll lie there in pieces feeling more whole than before.
An unfading melody fills my life
with a beauty
that covers my scars with ink
of a rhyme's desire
I can’t dismiss.
And  I remember,
some things, move smooth as silk
like  laughter filled words
of a lover’s kiss.

The ink
which is burned upon my name
sleeps with my every hope
searching only…….
for happiness.
It looks at me with an expectant face
in those moments
when my mind can’t rest.

The slightest touch of this  melody
leaves me waiting to shine
with outstretched hands.
My heart overflows with the beauty
of a thousand lights
changing color
at my command.

I can feel
the ink of my soul
writing……
on each and every breath
this melody breathes.
While the ink burned upon my name
finds the happiness
it needs.
