see wonder in that place so high,
as shapes and patterns fill the sky,

see magic in the smallest thing,
as insects crawl and robins sing,

see beauty in the world around,
as every sight and sense is found,

see every day as fresh and new,
as each brings greater things to do,

see nothing more than fun and game,
as no two moments are the same,

see life as it was meant to be,
as hope and love run wild and free.

Forget me not, in face and mind,
record my life, not just my kind,
forgive the wrongs, protect the rights,
preserve the love, not just the fights.

Forget me not, in heart and soul,
take note of me, not just my role,
present me as i am in truth,
describe my life, not just my youth.

Forget me not, in act and deed,
hold close my dreams, not just my greed,
defend the man, not just the name,
remember me, not what they claim.

Searching for a life sublime,
lost within a world of crime,
few that reap though many sow,
few that give though many stow.

Floating in the sea of souls,
drowning in unfinished goals,
few that smile though many talk,
few that stand though many walk.

Sitting in a field of life,
blown by winds of pain and strife,
few that see though many watch,
few that grasp though many clutch.

Laying in a bed of hope,
rest beyond the masses' scope,
few that dream though many try,
few that feel though many cry.

this precious armour on my heart,
this sacred piece of godly art,

this cover stretched across my bones,
this veil of life my soul now owns,

this sheet draped from my head to feet,
this aging cloak of olive meat,

this sculpture that will never keep,
this beauty that is but skin deep.

Cloud above me,
Shape my day,
Guide me on my chosen way,

Cloud above me,
Shape my mind,
Keep me safe and all my kind,

Cloud above me,
Shape my night,
Show me how to win the fight,

Cloud above me,
Shape my life,
Ease my path and end my strife.

Staring at this blank page,
Such a contrast to my mind,
The emptiness of one all that the other wants to find.

Putting pen to paper,
Once brought a pure release,
What freedom it still offered though at some point had to cease.

Ink was my catharsis,
My therapy for life,
This escape in each line now just another bitter strife.

Could there be another,
Some new way to relieve,
I cannot bring my heart to hope or soul to dare believe.

Darkness is yet growing,
No will to keep the fight,
My time is fast approaching to give in and face the night.

Peace was not my calling,
The page not meant to turn,
And so this chapter closes with no hope of return.

We gaze into the mirror,
To see where time has gone,
The past laid bare before us,
That shaped the path we're on.

We frown back at the mirror,
To show each crease and line,
The passing of the ages,
An ever present sign.

We stare into the mirror,
To find what brought us here,
The choices that have shaped us,
And changed us year by year.

We glare back at the mirror,
To prove we have no fear,
Our worries far behind us,
Through all we hold most dear.

We look into the mirror,
To seek a higher cause,
The sum of life before us,
No time to doubt or pause.

We smile back at the mirror,
To count each line and scar,
The life and love shared with us,
That made us who we are.

Sitting here I wonder how,
Looking over at you now,
All the goodness of our race,
Is mirrored in your lovely face.

Sitting here I wonder why,
Stretching out before my eye,
All the world is but a stage,
Of actors breathing hate and rage.

Sitting here I wonder when,
Hoping peace will come again,
All the lies that we have told,
Will save the lives that have been sold.

Sitting here I wonder what,
Thinking of all we've begot,
All our dark destructive past,
Has brought to bear on us at last.

Picture the future,
Picture the past,
Picture the present,
And hope it will last.

Pray for your loved ones,
Pray for the lost,
Pray for your freedom,
For all it has cost.

Follow your own dreams,
Follow your heart,
Follow a new path,
And live for your art.

Don't dwell on the bad times,
Don't cling to the pain,
Don't give up your chance,
To be happy again.

Life is not torment,
Life is not woe,
Life is your canvas,
And the world needs your show.

A grain of sand knows not its worth,
upon the lands across this Earth,

Yet every grain ìs paramount,
to mark each second's passing count,

For housed within infinity,
each grain attains divinity,

And when the grains have ceased to fall,
the sands of time engulf us all.

We ain’t chilling on a Nashville night,
No Daisy Dukes or G.R.I.T.S in sight,
A couple beers and country sound,
Still keep the vibe around.

We ain’t ever been to Tucson,
No dirt roads we’ve been on,
A cowboy hat and Southern smile,
Still kick it for a while.

We ain’t even American,
No drawl or sun-kissed tan,
A memory in every song,
Still keep us Country strong.

What happened to our haven,
That most sacred of all towns,
What once was vibrant and alive,
Now home to mindless clowns,

What happened to our people,
Those children of the night,
Who once were strong and plenty,
Now shadows in the light,

What happened to our glory,
All that we swore to keep,
What once gave us true power,
Now simply makes us weep.

Creativity is the art of rebellion,
Our lives a canvas of expression,
Through hearts in bright vermillion,
Brushed by shades of dark depression.

Creativity is the key to redemption,
Our soul's humble confession,
Of each cold and cruel deception,
When true love is in recession.

Creativity is the flight from damnation,
Our mind's craving for possession,
Through each secret affectation,
As we drown in our obsession.

Torrid lies in horrid dreams,
ruthless acts bring dreadful screams,
hopeless lives in empty bliss,
deathly wish through serpent's kiss,

questions lost to answers found,
secrets sold the world around,
dark and cold encompass light,
grounded souls in search of flight,

strong defended by the weak,
gods abandoned by the meek,
all to have but none to give,
long of life but not to live.

Mind so sharp and full of wit,
A challenge most would have to quit,
An angel with a demon's spark,
Her words will cut and leave a mark.

Eyes that smile and sparkle bright,
Two stars to light the darkest night.
An angel with a demon's glance,
Her gaze consumes your soul's last chance.

Lips that call you to her kiss,
A prize no mortal soul should miss.
An angel with a demon's smile,
Her tongue will tempt you with its guile.

Skin soft as a satin sheet,
One touch confirms your soul's defeat.
An angel with a demon's wings,
Her claws will bleed you as she sings.

Curves and lines like works of art,
The perfect shape to melt your heart.
An angel with a demon's lust,
Her love will turn your soul to dust.

Another journey travelled,
A step along the way,
A different road to travel as we conclude each day.

Another challenge levelled,
A hero from the fray,
A darker time to follow or so we hear them say.

Another dark cloud battled,
A force we cannot sway,
A demon rising deep within just sizing up its prey.

Another dream unravelled,
A blink in time’s decay,
A distant past forgotten in the memories we betray.

I feel the shadows close to me,
Their cold embrace so dear to me,
This love they hold for only me,
A feeling I thought lost to me.

I hear the shadows calling me,
Their secrets only shown to me,
This portal crafted just for me,
A mirror to a different me.

I let the shadows follow me,
The darkness now consuming me,
As pain and hurt abandon me,
A shadow stands where once was me.

His mind is full of secrets and his heart consumed by lies,
His soul forever wandering as Mother Mary cries,
Destruction in his wake and naught but pain and hurt to find,
A demon to the world around despised by all mankind.

His voice knows only anger and his eyes show no remorse,
His hate like fire burning fuelled by hell’s eternal force,
Damnation is his mission and disaster his true cause,
A nightmare incarnation baring fangs and golden claws.

His form is known to many though he goes by different names,
His reach is far and varied ever growing through his claims,
Corruption is his promise to this world in his control,
For he is the beast in all of us- the shadow on our soul.

This is the moment,
This is the end,
This is the break that we never will mend.

This is the minute,
This is the time,
This is the dream that will end in a crime.

This is the morning,
This is the way,
This is the god that will rule us today.

Her days drift by from dawn to dusk,
Beneath the sun’s emblazoned husk,
Each night awash in cold dismay,
Just dreading the approaching day,

She thinks back to her younger days,
Behind the warm rose-tinted glaze,
Each hope a long forgotten dream,
Just ripples in her memory stream,

Her path has brought her far from home,
Beneath these skies where demons roam,
Each battle fought for nothing real,
Just shallow wounds that cannot heal.

She looks towards the coming days,
Behind this dark depressing haze,
Each day another pointless blend,
Just waiting for her time to end.

I live and walk the world at night,
my home and haven have no light,
my heart and soul are black and grim,
my life is filled with naught but sin,

I live alone and without hope,
I often wonder how I cope,
I live on death, and feed on life,
I lavish in each mortal's strife,

I walk amongst you through the dark,
as if I’m some immortal shark,
I hunger for all that you've seen,
my lust is for what could have been,

I fear not death, but feareth life,
it cuts me deep, as if a knife,
it's blade runs right into my core,
I wonder if I will endure,

I once had hopes and dreams and prayers,
I once had love and faith and cares,
alas I’ve lost all that I had,
enslaved and chained, my soul is bad,

I call to mortals, through the cold,
please value that which you hold,
that which I, and many more,
have lost, now and forever more,

Think about the world around,
each tiny ant upon the ground,
and value all that life has here,
and never hide from any fear,

We call you from the darkened cave,
deep within an earthly grave,
Think before you enter here,
live your life, cry a tear,

Live a life of joyous games
and seek all that this life contains,
This life is yours and that is all,
and never to the depths you’ll fall.

Grey clouds fill the black above,
Darkness reigns where once was love,
Hatred taints that peaceful dove,
These lives no more fit like a glove.

Black skies turning slowly red,
No time to sleep but think instead,
This swollen cloud that fills my head,
As shadows cross this empty bed.

Red horizon turning blue,
A time for change not just in hue,
A chance for life to start anew,
A brand new dawn for me and you.

White clouds cover all I see,
The future laid in front of me,
Behind me ancient history,
Those distant days of misery.

Stars beyond that cloudy sky,
Far above where angels fly,
Shining down on you and I,
To help us give love one more try.

As this year ends we breathe a sigh,
And look towards a brighter sky,
The days ahead are ours to share,
With those for whom we love and care.

As this year ends we will not mourn,
For those that will not see this dawn,
The times we've shared will ever last,
No matter what the die may cast.

As this year ends another starts,
And though we may have heavy hearts,
The new day will bring joy once more,
Despite what else might lay in store.

As this year ends we'll rise above,
To focus not on hate but love,
The good we do is where truth lies,
Not what is seen through jaded eyes.

The time is short and fading fast,
to be all we can be,
to reach our true potential,
or face obscurity.

The time has come to make a choice,
to choose the path ahead,
to brave a new horizon,
or play it safe instead.

The time is now to take a stand,
to put fate to the test,
to face a greater challenge,
or let the matter rest.

The time is here to live at last,
to lay claim to the prize,
to seek a higher purpose,
or never more to rise.

Each day is masked in deja vu,
the songs repeat their plays again,
an end that still seems far from view,
so much now lost for other's gain.

Each day a mirror of the last,
reflecting all she'll never find,
an endless fog just drifting past,
absorbing all she's left behind.

Each day rolls by from dawn to dusk,
consuming all she has to give,
a hollow and dejected husk,
without the time for her to live.

Kneeling on this broken soil,
Feeling blood begin to boil,
All their screams surround my bed,
From this sacred field of red,

Standing on the edge of time,
Staring at what once was mine,
All their faces crowd my head,
Across this ancient field of red,

Passing through this land of pain,
Drenched by cold and heavy rain,
All their hearts have long been bled,
Here upon this field of red.

Today we celebrate your day,
The truth in all the things you say,
That smile that shows the best of you,
The hope that ever sees you through,

Today we think of all you've done,
The journey that you have begun,
This joy and love you bring us all.
The faith that keeps you standing tall,

Today we join our hands and pray,
The Lord to bless you in his way,
With gifts no mortal man could find,
For one so treasured by her kind.

She follows every order,
Would never cross the line,
She cannot leave their border,
Nor let her true light shine.

She longs to have her freedom,
To be all that she could be,
She cannot bear to hurt them,
Giving up her destiny.

She waits within the shadows,
Scared she’ll disappear in time,
She hates the truth that she knows,
That this all should be a crime.

I lay awake to meet the day,
Beyond the warmth of sleep's belay,
For I have demons yet to fight,
That dwell within the dark of night.

The moonlight brings me no relief,
As silence questions self belief,
For I have demons yet to face,
More deadly than the human race.

I stay awake to meet the dawn,
Where nightmares can no longer spawn,
For I have demons in my head,
That make their home beside my bed.

The dawn light slowly inches near,
At last to save me from my fear,
For I have demons in my heart,
Unable now to play their part.

I may awake to meet the sun,
Some day with all the fighting done,
For I have demons long deceased,
And none remain for then at least.

The new light will bring peace within,
A blessing to my worried kin,
For I have demons in my past,
And darkness cannot truly last.

emptiness, my soul is bare;

Solitude; the silence reigns;
isolated; heart in chains;

Rescue me, my love for trade;
escape me; my love betrayed.

Hot with passion,
Cold with shame,
Beauty with a secret name,

Sun by day,
And star by night,
Kiss so sweet but far from right,

Love and laughter,
Fear and doubt,
Strangers to the world about,

Light and dark,
Two souls one heart,
Doomed before they even start.

Sunrise on savannah plain,
graceful flight of noble crane,
silent wings of gliding bee,
drifting leaf from ancient tree,

wonders for the world to view,
lost to all but special few,
modern man with savage ways,
counting down our ending days,

worker ants we slave and toil,
ignorant of sky and soil,
lost in pointless task and deed,
wounded planet left to bleed,

die is cast by dark desire,
destined for eternal fire,
hellish flame engulfs us all,
man and beast together fall,

sunset with atomic dawn,
empty lands of hope forlorn,
blackened soil of absent trees,
silent world no birds or bees,

wonders lost before their time,
man the cause of epic crime,
savage man of modern days,
grieving for their former ways.

Falling out of nature’s plan,
Creatures not worthy of sight,
Given more than they could need,
Seeking out another fight,

Crawling out across the world,
Creatures not worthy of speech,
Granted more than they deserve,
Grasping for what’s out of reach,

Breaking out of every line,
Creatures not worthy of breath,
Gifted more than other beasts,
Racing on towards their death.

Sometimes we seek another way,
A fresh road we can walk,
A different self to be for once,
A new voice that could talk.

Sometimes we face another dawn,
A shade of nothing new,
A different day in nought but name,
A nightmare ever true.

Sometimes we glimpse another world,
A chance that never came,
A different self that could have been,
A life not spent the same.

Sometimes we crave another day,
A tick of time to spare,
A different moment from the rest,
A secret not to share.

Sometimes we catch another eye,
A star that might have shone,
A different self reflected there,
A fantasy long gone.

Sometimes we cast another spell,
A wish for days ahead,
A different outcome at the end,
A paradise instead.

Sometimes we grasp another dream,
A flame to light the dark,
A different self to live inside,
A flint to light our spark.

Sometimes we find another smile,
A grin for what we hold,
A different outlook on our lot,
A peace as we grow old.

And so the wheel turns again,
Once more we greet the night,
The shadows of the past return to show us all their might.

And so we tightly close our eyes
Once more to mask our fear,
The secrets deep within our soul to be drawn ever near.

And so the darkness closes in,
Once more the nightmares reign,
The armies of despair to swarm the heart we hold in vain.

And so we pray for dawn to come,
Once more the Sun to rise,
The demons crawling back to hell before our tear soaked eyes.

And so with nothing left to lose,
Once more we raise the call,
The angels of the love we've known to give this fight their all.

She stares out at the world through a constant flood of pain,
to find nothing but darkness in the cold torrential rain,
so caught up in the horrors manifested in her brain,
she cannot see a future where she will be whole again.

She stares into the void within the shadows of her soul,
to find nothing but whispers of her fragile mind's control,
so lost within her dreams and broken memories of the past,
regretting all those happy times she knew could never last.

She stares into the mirror to see what she has become,
to find nothing but hollow eyes and pain so cumbersome,
so damaged by the history of all she's left behind,
her will to stay eroding with the decay of her mind.

She stares into the black of night embracing her torn heart,
to find nothing but sorrow as she readies to depart,
so weakened now she must escape from what she'll never be,
forgotten and forsaken in her lonely destiny.

Two sides of a broken coin,
Living out these lonely days,
Two paths that can never join,
Going on our separate ways,

Two hearts sharing just one beat,
Reaching out with love in mind,
Two souls joined in this defeat,
Wanting what we cannot find,

Too far from what could have been,
Living with what has been done,
Too long cut from this great scene,
Though this could have been the one,

Too late for our show to start,
Promises too hard to break,
Too much love to share a heart,
Choices far too hard to make,

To the team we cannot be,
Though life puts us to the test,
To the dream we’ll never see,
Though the pain still fills my chest,

To the life we’ve never known,
Love was not for you and me,
To the end we walk alone,
For we cannot be set free.

She lies upon these scattered sands,
As scarlet streams run down her hands,
Her memories blurred by distant lands,
As slowly, softly, drained she stands,

She stares out on this foreign scene,
No sign of life, nor hint of green,
A charred and broken land picked clean,
No place for her, once so serene,

She leaves a path of crimson trails,
In lines across this path of nails,
Her vision blurred by smokey sails,
In panic as her balance fails,

She lies upon these bloodied sands,
Too weak to raise or feel her hands,
Her memories cleared of other lands,
Too late to see what darkness plans.

In the dream I had last night,
I saw an angel dressed in white,
Surrounded by a shining aura,
A-kin to that of the aurora,
She turned and stared, her gaze like fire,
Her eyes, they made my head perspire,
And as I stared into those eyes,
My heart, it leapt into the skies,
At last I felt alive, and whole,
For she had touched my very soul,
And then a spell, she cast upon me,
Binding me, her slave-to-be,
Not bound by body, nor by mind,
She bound my heart, on which she signed,
'We are one, now and forever,
From now on we'll be together'
So, a question for you now,
Who was the girl who made this vow?
The answer is, and this is true,
the girl I dreamt about is YOU.
And so a vow I make to you,
For that is all that I can do,
'I give to you my word and bond,
My love will last, now and beyond'
For my heart belongs to you,
Anything you say, I’ll do,
My love for you will last forever,
I hope one day we'll be together,
And so my love, my one and only,
Please don’t ever leave me lonely,
For now that I have you, my love,
My heart can reach the clouds above,
I’ll love you till the day I die,
For if I lost you, I would cry,
My life would have no worth at all,
My soaring heart would quickly fall,
For I was made to be with you,
And that’s a fact, I know is true,
For our love was meant to be,
One heart, one whole, just you and me,
Our love, the alpha and omega,
Our love, the perfect true-love saga,
One day I’ll be with you my love,
And then we’ll reach the clouds above.
This I swear, my solemn vow,
Alas it cannot happen now,
But for now, I give to you,
The gift of love, a love that’s true.
I give this gift to you in tears,
a gift to last you through the years,
for you and I are bound together,
a bond to last for now, forever!

Come with me to our new home,
Far away from where they roam,
On the wings of dragons tamed,
Far above all that’s been named.

Come with me to lift the seal,
Far from all the gods reveal,
Through the hardships still ahead,
Far away from what’s been said.

Come with me to worlds unknown,
Far away from all they own,
On a cloud of dreams we’ve shared,
Far from all that makes you scared.

Come with me to start anew,
Far from all they’ve put us through,
With the light of love to guide,
Far away from where they hide.

Though history may forget her kind,
Each life she's touched will soon remind,
The people of a thousand lands,
Of all the work done by her hands.

Through magick that her soul has spun,
Each mind's defence has been undone,
The beating of a thousand hearts,
Still call for her when she departs.

Though truth and love have been her kin,
Each breath gives her recourse to sin,
The secrets of a thousand lives,
Consumed in all that she contrives.

Through corridors of time and space,
Each dream she has will leave a trace,
The sketches of a thousand hands,
Will share what no one understands.

Though years fade into shadows deep,
Each memory her mind will keep,
The feelings of a thousand hearts,
Retained in all their broken parts.

Dream of me and drift away,
Scream for me but keep at bay,
Nothing left for us to say,
Love is lost when lovers stray.

Dream of me but do no more,
Find your own way out the door,
Nothing left but memories,
Love long lost and in the breeze.

Dream of me now that you're gone,
Shame that you were not the one,
Nothing left for us to do,
Love is lost for me and you.

Love is a heartache,
That will drive you insane,
But love is a shelter,
From the hatred and pain.

Hope is a struggle,
That will eat at your soul,
But hope is a lifeboat,
When you've lost all control.

Faith is a battle,
That will blind you to life,
But faith is the answer,
To all the world's strife.

In the boldest stories of her time,
the sharpest memories of each crime,
lives all that one was farce and mime,
the shadows of a dream sublime.

In the oldest fragments of her life,
the deepest scars of bitter strife,
lurks all that once was man and wife,
the jealous cut of sorrow's knife.

In the coldest reaches of her mind,
the darkest places she can find,
lies all that she has left behind,
the pain inflicted by her kind.

If the dark inside still calls you,
And the light inside goes cold,
Will you try ignore the summons,
Or just let the beast take hold?

If the heart you hold still beats strong,
But the love you feel grows weak,
Will you give yourself to save it,
Or just hunt that which you seek?

If the life you live feels empty,
And the truth cannot be faced,
Will you fight for all that could be,
Or just let hope be erased?

Like sunshine burning in your eyes,
whilst staring up into the skies,

Like raindrops beating at your skin,
whilst waiting for the band to sing,

Like soil filtered through your hand,
whilst working on a plot of land,

Like autumn wind run through your hair,
whilst walking through the fog with care,

Love is like these little things,
it takes your breath when it begins,

You never know when it will come,
so often missed and seldom won.

Forget all the evil that you've come to know,
Forget all the heartache and all of the pain,
Forget all the horrors and come home again.

Forget all the demons that covet your soul,
Forget all those people who seek to control,
Forget all the worries that eat at your heart,
Forget all the dangers and make a new start.

Forget all the questions and all of the lies,
Forget all the things you've come to despise,
Forget all that's not of a happier time,
Forget all of this because now you are mine.

Today will be a brand new day,
A chance to do things your own way,
To forgive all that they might say,
and put all doubt and fear away.

Today will be a brand new start,
A chance to see beyond the art,
To learn the secrets of your heart,
and let the past at last depart.

Today will be your time to shine,

To seek more than just the benign,
and set the world to your design.

in silent thought, my mind a-drift,
no love to hold, the shadows shift,

a rippled lake, my tortured soul,
in pain I cry, within this hole,

there is no light, no warmth inside,
my heart is black, alone I hide,

I have no love, I have no life,
no way to leave, or end this strife,

all hope is gone, my life is lost,
for precious love, my soul the cost,

please take me now, and end this night,
please take my life, and end this fight.

Love is far from magical,
A trick that can deceive,
But your love put a spell on me and helped me to believe.

Love is not a storybook,
There are no heroes here,
But your love saved me when we met and taught me not to fear.

Love is far from all we need,
It cannot save us all,
But your love is the only thing that keeps standing tall.

Love is not just beautiful,
It has a darker side,
But your love lights my life and always helps to turn the tide.

Love is far from perfect,
It will not solve poverty,
But your love makes me richer and is perfect just for me.

Love is not the answer,
There are puzzles far too great,
But your love is the answer to the search for my soul mate.
