Sometimes I wish I was a taxi driver
Because I don't believe there is
A more honest person on earth.
They hear the apologies of
Intoxicated teenagers
On their way home from the clubs
That they used fake ID's to get into.
They hear the quarrels between
Frisky lovers
Who drank too much on their dinner date
And can't wait to shed their clothing.
They hear the ramblings of
Elderly folk
Complaining about gas prices
And the brand-name stores that
Put the local businesses under.
But sometimes, they hear the confessions of
Lonely travelers
Who were wandering the streets
At 3 in the morning, contemplating
How they would like to take their life,
Until they saw a taxi cab driving past
And realized it was their sign to go
Home.

i am
three days past
an expiration date
already lost
more than just
the starlighting
seven shades darker
than your ethereal silence
and two missing persons
reports, more than your four

Is it bad I wished them dead?
A silver bullet through the head?

Splatters on the wall
no more running down the hall.

Scarlet blood turning black.
Pretty faces going slack.

Heavy metal in my hand.
Legs were shaky, couldn't stand.

Screams pierced the rainy night.
Just wanted them out of my sight.

Crimson tears always burn.
Though my head I'll never turn.

My boots hit the street.
Their bodies leak heat.

They say I'm insane.
Truth is I'm in pain.

Is it wrong I killed them dead?
There are no more whispers in my head.
I promise I didn't really shoot anyone...or did I? Whahahaha!!

Her eyes were the color of solar flares
and the remnants  of super novae,
eyelashes damp with Venus’ acid rain.

Body in the curves of the Northern Lights,
there were stars at her fingertips,
galaxies twined in the star dust of her hair.

Constellations lined her dress
as she danced in the celeste of red ribbon clouds
the storms created.

She travelled across the icelands of Neptune
though days never passed through the tail of Hailey’s comet,
only sulfuric nights on Io.
i wonder if it makes people feel better by belittling others.

i wonder if it would make them pause a moment when the bullied show their scars, and point to the ones they caused.

i wonder if they would change, if we showed them how much they really hurt us.
Please don't lose yourself in your wild, untamed mind.

Wait to lose yourself and be consumed by nervous thoughts in the wee hours of the morning until I'm with you.

Wait to explore undiscovered ruins hidden in the crevices of your brain until I find my way to where you have stumbled.

Wait to enter the caverns of lost memories and shattered wishes until I have decoded intricate hieroglyphics.

Wait to illuminate this forgotten jungle until you are ready to let me see all the beautiful and ugly creatures which lurk and cower in its tangled roots.

I reassure you; I will still adore you no
matter what evils we stumble upon along our
          journey,
         for I know,
deep in the heart of this wild labyrinth
         awaits decadence and beauty.
His deep blue eyes
vanished
from underneath my gaze,
leaving me to
drown
in the empty nothingness
which was left
out of pity.
Did you really think I was okay?
when you saw my nicotine-stained teeth
Did you really think I was okay?
when the only sound heard from recycling were
    the heavy clank! of bottles

Did you really think I was okay?
when I only wore long sleeves in the steaming
    summer

Did you really think I was okay?
when they cut me open and saw my bruised and
   battered corpse?
