Open your mind and open your eyes
And maybe you will see what you are missing.

Expand you thoughts and watch
Your horizons stretch beyond thought to imagination,
Giving you access to everything you want.

But you could never encompass those thoughts
Because they weren't the typical, normal wants.

Open your door, opportunity is on the step.
Let it in and watch it ignite your world,
Burning away the drear and monotony,
And that's where you will find me.

Deep inside of this inferno transformation
There is no time for you to get complacent.
You're on the edge of your metamorphosis,
This evolution revolution waged inside.

Let it out into the air.

Find what you want,
Embrace that thought,
Think hard enough and I'll appear,
Showing you the lack of reason
To fear the instilled conformity.

Drilling deep to your core to clear
The debris and degrading thoughts,
Again and again to prevent you getting lost,
And in time you will see

Me.
Once there was a Cup
And inside the cup there was a Dragon
And the dragon shrank to the size of a pencil sharpener
And inside the pencil sharpener there was a needle
And the needle grew to the size of a chopstick
And I used it to clean my ears
And Ive been hearing better ever since.

With my newly clean ears
I realised that
I'd heard the poem all wrong.
What it really said was...

Once there was a Hat
And inside the hat there was a wagon
And the wagon shrank to the size of a bottle opener
And inside the bottle opener there was a beetle
And the beetle put on some lipstick
And I used the lipstick to help me speak more clearly.
And I've been speaking more clearly ever since.

Is it possible to know another
to become as one
or is that something poets, lovers,
and fools say
to excuse their own
folly
And, really, would we
want that kind of intimacy
and, if so,
how long
I have seen
the loss of love
the failures
the crash
the weepers
the drunks
for we are all here now

Plain brain game,
      droopy eyes,
        shaking thighs -

Why am I back here, again?

      Great laughs -
             ha, ha,
                ha -
          peeing cycles increasing
            to release
            the awkward current
               forming armies
               of goose bumps
           around my thoughts -

     My Friday night
        has just begun -
              but it feels
                like last week's ****;

       Same tickling fear
          tied in a knot,
      as I seal my
                       heart
       with more dishonesty;

these distracted strangers
     don't know any better,
any better than me, anyway -

"Love is just a state of mind,
          the heart knows better,"

                             hmph -

     intuition feeling
a tad under the weather -

       Not good enough,
          I should've known better..

Your touch is really all that's appealing.
Only the sensations are what I yearn for,
not you.
Nothing romantic or loving,
more into just kissing
or touching.
We’ve learned to love that instead.
Cut out the fallacies and fabrications.
With sweet sensations that last for moments
and keep the satisfaction for periods of time.
Over the dramatics of courting for now
and diving into convenient friendships.
Never thinking of the changing winds that accompany this...alternative
and as the critters of consequence attempt to creep upon,
feel no fear since,
it was worth it...
Fear only escorts regret,
which this mindset has room for neither.
The elusive Mr.Right seems to be in constant hiding,
so for a time,
no matter how brief,
deem the other wonderful and fit.
Find comfort in the company
of right now.
I keep seeing this concept every where, songs, movies, and book, and it intrigued me, so I wrote about it.

they appear like sunsets.

If you touch the hot stove.....you will be burned
If you drink the poison...you will get sick
If the candle dies, you will be alone in the dark
If you jump...you will fall

don't jump

If you pull the trigger...someone will get hurt
If you break the glass you will bleed
If you stand in the storm, you will blow away
If you fall for me, your heart will be broken

don't fall

________

When I touch the hot stove
When I drink the poison

I learn from my mistakes

When my candle dies, I will light it again
and push forward

When I fall, I will pick myself up
Because that's what people do

take chances

I pull the trigger because I know where I'm aiming the gun
I break the glass because you placed it between us

I stand in the storm because it's where I always find you

I'm falling for you because we always risk getting hurt
when we fall
but we still have to try

*take the leap
Had these as 2 poems, but I felt the message was lost...so put 'em together
