I explore an open heart
I celebrate its translucent embrace
It leaks secret deep colours
She surrounds my eternity
I almost remember life
In Poetry I breathe
I slowly drink in the universe
To feel the liquid rhythm never changing
I speak in abstracts and metaphors
I live to express to those who understand
To understand the tangles of the soul and mind

A peace I find when I'm alone
And no one else is near
Renews my soul,  clears my mind
And chases away my fears

I am free to explore my world
Find out what makes it turn
I come here to this quiet place
And find so much to learn

I find myself when I am here
What is hidden in my heart
I once again find the strength
I need to stand alone
My Solitude and I
Will never part.

I came out here to write
and maybe sit upon the sand
perhaps conjure up a vision
of us together hand in hand

But as I stand upon the rocks
as waves crash upon the beach
perhaps this storm it has a lesson
and I'm the one it needs to teach

See things dont always go as planned
in any of our lives
like the beach we too get shaped
our waves are lovers, friends and wives

The visit for a moment
in the greater scheme of things
leaving our shores weathered
scattered with a million things

some give to us more than they take
others take more than they give
the driftwood that gets left behind
becomes the life we live

So as I stand upon the rocks
and waves crash upon the beach
I take stock of the lessons learned
glad that I'm within their reach

open your mind, open your soul
Without life to unfold, you can't pay the toll
Live life the way you want, never how you should
because in the end, you'll wish you really could
Time for fun, time for life, if you dont feel like
your living, your not doing it right
we are all connected in every which way
There's a part for everyone in this on going play
Find your purpose, find your reason
Dont just wait for that right season
Life is a blessing, life is a gift
pick yourself up, give a stranger a lift
Do the unthinkable, and do it with pride
For life is nothing of a dream
its an on going ride
Strap yourself in, or let it hang loose
This is your life to live, so you get to choose

Chasing the wind to learn its secrets
Whispering in your ear just out of touch
Following the mystery that it uses to tease
Inescapable longing lures enticingly
The world forgotten on a summer breeze
