Mysterious Abyss
Andrew Robertson May 2013
Her eyes are the abyss I get lost in.

As I fall,
I search around me and
take in all the wonder.

Where am I?

What is this place?

I see something in the distance.

I start soaring towards it and
realized yet another wonder:

A bright green something was
flooding into this wondrous abyss
from an oddly shaped crack.

A winged-heart engulfed in green
throwing out sparks of white light
which I came to realize were memories.

The random reeled memories of one in love.

I glided forward,
against the strong current of energy.
I reached out and
laid my hand upon the crack.

Suddenly,
I was forced away as the light stopped
and the crack in the abyss disappeared.

I was thrown upward and
out of that mysterious abyss.

Her eyes are the abyss I was lost in.

The Stone of Judgement
Andrew Robertson May 2013
Ten thousand years have gone
Since the guarding of the stone.
Many sordid battles were fought
And all ended with scattered bones.

It is written that only one with a pure heart
May lift the stone without swift death.
It is guarded by the eldest magic
Which captivate our souls and rob our breath.

Now, however, it is concealed underground.
It was hidden after the many battles and nearly forgotten.
But the Alcapye, ancient guardians of the stone,
Had since passed their knowledge beyond the Great Mountain.

Over the seas and through the jungles,
You'll come at last to what may become your tomb.
In the forsaken desert of the Alcapye,
There it lies: be it our hope or our doom!

It is set in a sacred chest of golden yew
Waiting for the heart that can set it free.
It was marked by the Alcapye,
So only the Chosen One may see.

Eleven days you'll have to seek,
And behold the enchanted stone.
Call upon the Alcapye to guide you
And to you your path be shown.

You shall begin your quest at dawn.
We'll hope it will not be permanent.
You shall have power beyond measure
If you possess the Stone of Judgment.

If you should fail to retrieve the stone,
Say, 'Farewell' to all those you know.
The Earth shall crumble.
The Earth shall fall.
From a majestic war from every foe.

Heartache
Andrew Robertson May 2013
I see her in the morning.
I think of her in the night.
And all the hours in between,
She enslaves my very sight.

Her shiny black hair
Is like silky waves of night.
Her deep blue eyes
Are portals of mysterious light.

Her smile is magnificent.
Her teeth are always glimmering.
Her body is phenomenal.
Her laughter is always ringing.

She has a corner office.
I have a corner store.
I await the moment every morning
When she opens up my door.

She is perfect
In every single way.
All she has to do
Is everything I say.

She's married with children.
I'm single with none.
She seems so intense,
But maybe she's the one.

She'll be here soon.
What do I do?
I've absolutely, positively
Fallen for Sue!

I'm a fool!
I've fallen into a trap.
Help me find my way.
Can you lend me a map?

She is intoxicating.
She's out of her mind.
She follows me home
And tries to be kind.

She rearranges my furniture.
She decorates my house.
She adores this little puppy
That looks like a mouse.

She whispers and gossips
And whistles and prances.
She sends everyone into
Their own kind of trances.

She tasted better
Than Blueberry wine.
But she sure did crush
This little heart of mine.
