'Perfect'

Her name sinks into my skin
to kiss away the scars
She means more than just everything
but that's not why I love her.

Her eyes are the night,
and I'm the city, enchanted
her smile, her laugh,
is contagious.
But I promise, that's not why I love her.

Her voice is a melody,
of an Angel's choir
Her presence is a blessing
and just one touch leaves me inspired

Needless to say,
I could go on forever
But the reason I love her
is because she's not perfect, she's better.

You say that life is cruel
Well maybe life isn't,
Maybe it's just the people who are.

There are no demons really,
Just misguided angels,
I believe.

We are all angels really,
Even if we harm and we cry
Even if on most nights, we wish to die
There's nothing wrong with wanting to get to Heaven faster,
In order to guard someone else's life.

It is wrong however,
To believe that you are not good enough
To be one's ideal angel
For you cannot fly and you do not shine,

It is wrong to feel like you are unworthy
And could never help
Because I promise you someone who loves you,
Needs their angel tonight

'Just don't fall in love with me'
Well you don't make it easy for me do you?

'Make sure the first person who kisses you, loves you'
Well you love me... don't you?

'You can't just sit there and put everyone's lives ahead of yours and think that counts as love.'
Well I've always been 'seen' as a wallflower, haven't I?

...

'Just don't fall in love with me'
But yours is the love that I think I deserve..
'A perks of being a wallflower inspired poem..
Maybe it's not as deep as the others,
but I still think these words count for something.

Should I stay or should I go?
Test my wings or stay at home?

Explore the world I've always dreamed of'
But lose myself in the midst of dreamers?

Opportunities, flying, here and there..
but I'd give them up for you, I swear..
Oh, you and I..
We're always been quite a match,
for you are the bow and I am the arrow you're holding back
ahhhh, weirdd shape poem *** I tried to make it look like an arrow haha..
but no this poem is so relevant, I'm not sure about what sixth form/college I should apply to..
'Should I stay or should I go?'

In The Image

If you're in His image,
Then I am too,
And I am not a lesser man
(Or maybe I am).

I doubt His image has a head
To tonsure or to cover as seen fit;
It is, in fact, invisible,
Seen only in faces as reflected.

If I'm in His image, I imagine
Material immodesty is nonexistent--
For if not applicable to you in sight of Him,
I doubt His view of me is very different.

If I'm not in His image, then neither are you,
And every blessing you make is a blessing to rue.
The word is holy, if not your definition of manly;
And if I can't fulfill your obligation you never will, surely.

If I'm in His image,
Then beg my forgiveness.
If I'm in His image,
Then mind your own business.
And if I'm not,
Then neither are you.
