indahnya sebuah melodi,
sebuah lagu yang berirama,
sungguh merdu,
sungguh syahdu.

alangkah indahnya hidup ini,
jika diibaratkan dengan sebuah lagu,
setiap detik kehidupan,
mempunyai iramanya yang tersendiri.

alangkah indahnya cinta ini,
seperti melodi lagu-lagu tanpa nyanyian,
penuh dengan kesedihan,
tetapi juga membawa kebahagiaan.

tatkala perginya seseorang itu,
ke dunia lain mahupun yang sama,
sakitnya tidak diduga,
seperti mengenggam serpihan kaca.

kehidupan ini tidak dapat dibicara,
dengan hanya kata-kata,
ianya dapat dirasa,
apabila dilalui.
See the way the moon shines with an orange over tone
The way that all the dangerous creatures are the only ones that run alone
Pick up your syths and run like hell
because I know that soon you'll inhale that putrid smell
Rotting flesh becomes more of a most common seen thing
because when the beast lures you in, no one can hear your screams.
He runs around with a wolfish snout and large, red, beady eyes
He runs so fast you never see him, and when you do it's to late to realize
that he's coming for you so you have to get away
because the beast holds hell in his heart, so he doesn't care anyway
He'll rip your throat out and drain you down
and when he's done there'll be no sign around
So warn your little children during the kiss of night
that the big, bad beast will get them and suffocate them tight
Save yourself dusk of day, and don't take for granted what you see
Because when you least expect it, you'll understand, the beast lives in me.
I washed your sheets on Mondays, a private liturgy
Their veracious nature spoke; my eyes sought not to see
I scrubbed those stains with child's hands
Until linen stripped and fell to strands
Those twisted ropes that once bound us
Turned silent traitors, servants of  lust
Denial is my cross to bear
And of the irony, I am aware
Yet do not dismiss my right to ache
My faith in you is your mistake
But know when thread unwinds to bone
You will lie prisoner on those sheets
Alone
The man I was with for a year proved unfaithful, and I found it ironic how I washed his sheets each week, oblivious.
Moss, softly green as grass
some bare feet to pass
red fox and deer to tread
mossy stepped, quietly the forest led
soon to rest golden heads
bright leaves
falling sleepily
to bed

Emma
In all honesty, I've loved you since I first knew you.
I love you in the ways I don't know how to love
and in the places I don't know how to look for
I love you in the ways it hurts to communicate
and the places eyes are most powerful
and colors, the colors you paint behind you
and wings - I was searching, you showed me roots
and that growth stems from groundedness
and that circles are everywhere

I want to be in a circle with you
It's a sort of unformed dream, where I imagine
I might not need to be constantly moving

I love you just looking at you
eyes soft and
something hidden
we don't need to speak
I just want to kiss you
I will never tell you unless you ask, kid. And even then I won't have the right words. You. Soft-spoken presence. Glitter on the cedars. Glowing shadows. Constant love. Childlike. Manlike. Challenging standards. The art of being. Simple. Complex. Sphere. Rain and jazz. It has now been years, and it is better that you do not know the extent to which I've loved you.
Gray woods, morning mist
hangs upon the trees, leaves decay, sway
falling to the ground

quiet this world, but for the sound of rain
washing wet the berry vines, droplets
falling to the ground

tiny sparrow flits among sheltered branches
a nest to repair, twine and twigs, little sticks
falling to the ground
Most dreams are all the same
A bunch of colors mixed together
So that when you wake up
You don't remember it
But are still engulfed with a sense of tranquility
Except this one
A dream of a life ended too short
Of how she was sent to hell for it
The sorrow and fear that filled her soul
Oh how it pained me to watch this
Though as the dream continued a hero came
It was her Savior
He rescued her
Saving her from the land of the dead
Giving her eternal life
And bringing her to live in Heaven forever
This is based on the dream I had last night and was told to write about.
