XNtricity
taste
like the feeling of walking out the door
and taking in that clean, bright air
slightly scented with chlorine
by the hot poolside
deep, sky blue water
so cool
wade in

green beans snapping in your mouth

sound
like that last step
meant to be stealthy
touching down on a landmine of twigs,
the falling
of a thousand miniature trees, in sequence
with an axe.
almost,
the juicy crackling of a
campfire, after it's consumed
that accidently drooping marshmallow.
forgive it
as it blackens, warps, and crumbles
it tried to hold on.

green beans snapping in your mouth

smell like dry
ice vapors, that float, free
as a spirit, undefined,
like glass shard cuts
of freshly mowed grass,
breathe in that vibrant green,
discarded and scattered
like an answer blowing in the wind
through the waves of a spring
field, full of thin whistling reeds,
hanging wind bells
on the eave,
dripping with rain.
Listen to the
sweet, nothing-tang tones
delicious
silent-music

can't quite describe
the sensation--
green beans snapping in your mouth

Nick Durbin
Left alone on this makeshift raft,
Drifting further into the wake -
All I see is darkness...
Slowly collapsing upon my bones,

Waiting to be resolved -
To be encapsulated with meaning,
A filament of hope to define our love...
Show me my life is not *insignificant.

Ayaba Babe
with every starry sky,
i still search for the big dipper.
stripping the constellations
searching for something bigger
than the compilation of love
or whatever it was
that we feathered through the sand that night.

that was the last time that we were together
you and i
lonesome
under the moonless sky
seen only by the eyes of God.
guided only by the light
and the might of the stars,
no matter where you are:

with every starry sky,
i still search for the big dipper.

every time our eyes collide
the constellations quiver
every time
you look into my eyes
i see you riding the tides of my skies
sliding along the slopes of my little dipper
abiding the strokes of my heart to beat quicker
searching for something bigger
than the compilation of love
or whatever it was
that we feathered through the sand that night.

that was the last time that we were together.
the weather has shifted many times since then,
it has now been awhile.
yet, still now
the compilation of your smile
is the only pile of shine
that can blind the vastness of my mind

every time

you look at me

i drown in the vastness of the seas
that flood the skies of your eyes
with every starry sky,
i still search for the big dipper.
upon it,
when both our eyes linger
i can feel the shiver
of the astronomical quiver

when i'm guided by the stars,

you never feel quite so far.

Redshift
i stole a typewriter
from the side of the road
actually
maybe it was free...
anyway,
i kind of think i saved it...
he's from the 1980's,
a little old for me
but we have this strange
romance
going on
he writes so
pretty

Feel your soul leave,
And your body crack,
Feel the air rush away,
And feel yourself drop.

Stone cold hard ground,
Shockwaves ripple through your entire body,
Clashing and bouncing off the walls on the inside,
Not a single breath can be taken.

Pain radiating throughout each blood vessel,
Every muscle screaming in agony as you will yourself to move,
Not a sound,
Not a flinch,
Just a frozen corpse,
Her soul slowly draining away,
leaving an empty shell of nothing.

Lonely sorrow,
I walk alone,
Scoraching heat,
Melting what little flesh of memory i have left,
Firey stones lit up beneath my feet,
Sense of direction lost in the roasting wind,
No recelection of time not a thought from the past,
No hope for tomorrow.

Such a simple action leads to such an extensive mistake.
An action of pure love led on by desire and lust,
Collision of raw emotions,
Confusing thoughts,
Twisted tounges speaking laughable excuses,
A long never ending twisted road lies ahead,
Lives eternally changed.
There is no easy way down the treacherous path,
People will end up betrayed,
Hurt.
Guilt.
No one to blame but themselves.
Two senseless lovers bonded together for a lifetime.

Breath and release,
Senses open wide,
You see the world for the first time,
The colors and sounds blind you,
The beauty of it all leaves you breathless.
You stand there dumbfounded by this new feeling,
Not knowing what to do or what to look at,
Each step is a step toward a greater magnitude,
Something so magnificent and mysterious,
It is impossible to fathom it.
The world extends far beyond what we see,
Endless turns and hallways,
Every vortex is a new dimension,
All the dimensions guided by the Eye,
We as people make up the doors and lock ourselves in,
Creating a whole world of our own,
Drifting further and further away from the One who leads us.
Take a trip with me,
Go on a journey to see,
All of the marvelous things yet to be discovered.
