Rumi
The moon has become a dancer
at this festival of love.
This dance of light,

This sacred blessing,
This divine love,
beckons us
to a world beyond
only lovers can see
with their eyes of fiery passion.

They are the chosen ones
who have surrendered.
Once they were particles of light
now they are the radiant sun.

They have left behind
the world of deceitful games.
They are the privileged lovers
who create a new world
with their eyes of fiery passion.
I would like to run my five fingertips
all over your carnal curves and contours
in every crevice, crack and concavity
in the vast canyons of your brilliant mind
dive into the ocean of your subconscious
delve into the deep valleys of your psyche
spelunking in the caves of your desires
uncover the ancient arcane secrets
hidden in the space behind your vibrant eyes
let us lay among the old oaks and laugh
arm in arm, soul in soul, floating upon
velvet sunsets on sweetest summer days
until the oceans dry, the ground cracks, and
the sun dies, I will never leave your side.

Zoe H
She free falls,
Tumbling,
Searching,
Waiting,
Wishing some good fortune would catch her.
Their biting words,
Forever echoing in her ears.
Ugly,
Fat,
Alone.
She spins violently,
Her heart breaking more and more,
With every word.
As she gets older,
And she begins to accept herself,
To love herself.
But their words come back,
And they hit her like a brick wall.
Eliminating that sliver of confidence she had,
Which took years to find,
And seconds to break.
She returns to the all-to-familiar process,
Hiding the hurt behind fake smiles,
And more made up happiness,
The happiness everyone thinks is real.
But in reality she’s lost,
Hurting,
And breaking.
But they are to blind to see it,
They are afraid to see it

Beyond the darkness

Shades of painted corners
face these inward fears
Now drenched in lost endeavors
and flat as the cornerstone of suffering
Caught within boundaries along wasting moments,
crying blanket feelings,
pounding on the walls of despair

“leaving fist prints like so many discarded roses”

Calling out to the endless deafness
“Time it does not heal,
scars merely cut deeper”,
echoes among the tapered dreams
Fog engulfs the melody…slowly
chasing after poetic symphonies
playing in a westward direction

“horizontal compass points from this to that”

This weary hand trembles
violently as it reaches, pleads
Where the monochrome sun sets,
beyond the chosen horizon
in heart shaped vistas and opened arm landscapes
Trust in amber glowing beacons
wave banners of solitude

“free flowing fabric beckoning in rhythmic motions”

Forcing the stoic front door…open
Creaking hinges scream, your fears cup beneath your chest
Breathing in the stench of life
but lured by the fragrance of the future
Where sorrow drowns in cascade pools,
pain hides where it can not be found
and he waits to lift you…beyond the darkness

*“and you find you have wings, shimmering in this golden friendship”
To everyone else you're just the quiet girl who sits at the front of the class
But to me you're one of the most beautiful and interesting people I know.
I wonder why clocks tick, tock
it annoys me so I get a rock
and at the clock it flys
the clock smashes with a thousand sighs.
Even clocks have a rhyme
saying tick tock tick tock, all on time.
Don't you wish you could go back and do something once more.
But that's impossible, something that you could only wish for.
In a book something could happen twice
how awesome and nice
if it were true,
but stop dreaming, wake up i'd have to tell you.
This is one of my earlier poems written 28/10/10
i will wade out
till my thighs are steeped in burning flowers
I will take the sun in my mouth
and leap into the ripe air
                                       Alive
                                                 with closed eyes
to dash against darkness
in the sleeping curves of my body
Shall enter fingers of smooth mastery
with chasteness of sea-girls
                                            Will i complete the mystery
                                            of my flesh
I will rise
               After a thousand years
lipping
flowers
And set my teeth in the silver of the moon
