My mind is aware
vividly aware as I
  know my dreams
   are in full color

Unlike day dreams
mine take place at
  night as I gaze into
   blank dark vistas

Mesmerized it
seems yet I focus
  deeply on a plan
   a vision a task

One larger than
the next I envision
  life so clear as if
   it was day time

I snap back to
reality and remind
  myself to write it
   down or lose it.

to protect the way of life.

We TRUIMPH because we like to win
sometimes at all cost
unable to function from the heart

Defined in our youth
by others to shape our
direction in life
Criticized and often
over corrected, the
positive reinforcement
seems fleeting
Was it lack of family
structure or was it a
poor education system
Put IN A BOX to
appease societies
notion of what we
should be.

I'd like to give thanks to all the amazing
poets and writers who aspire to simply
share from the heart.

and who you are
hiding behind the
computer n claiming
something you are not,
but reality denotes
that you are a poet
Well versed you are
and yet an enigma
you are in many ways
Reading between the
lines I put 2 n 2 together
You follow me close
like a true private eye
I was fooled briefly,
but I KNOW
who YOU are.

Taken for granted or
taken out of context
We often hear what
we want to and the
focus is near sighted
Random conversation
that goes sideways at
the drop of a hat
builds a distinct stress
Explanation ensues
and all reasoning falls
by the way side
Trust must be rebuilt
Honesty must accompany
The rise and fall of love
suggests many complicated
facets that often evoke
bias emotions.

How can I share
  myself with the world
   How can I make it
    understand my thoughts
     Can love and respect be
      translated internationally
       Can I touch hearts and minds
        as well as lift up spirits
         Do I have powers to end war
          and begin a peace dialogues
        Do I believe that a higher
       power make all possible
     Will I seek guidance to begin
    the quest to change the world
   Will I do what I say and not
  give lip service to my dreams?

Long past are the
days of celebration
and acknowledgment
I take no pride in
showing off for my born day
No cakes, parties or gifts
No cards, dinners or posts
on social media needed
The older I get, the less I
require & essentially need
I've got the blues
The BIRTHDAY BLUES

I can't think straight
my nerves are shot
Rational thought
is out the door
I try and sit to calm
myself to no avail
My leg bounces like
a child waiting for Santa
I tense my body and
squeeze every internal
***** still to no avail
Time is of the essence
as I'm about to explode
Will I make it... will I
the clock is ticking and
my forehead is sweating
I grind my teeth and almost
bite off my floating tongue
Do I pull over and water
a random tree or bush?
Can I make it, like playing
chicken with your car
on E and calculating the
distance to the station
I see home and precious
seconds are minimal
Exiting the car, I move
quickly like I have a
proverbial stick inside
I smash open the door
with my zipper already
dropped for convenience
Underwear is not... is not
cooperating, ok got it
... YEEEEES  AHHHHH !
We've all been there and
you can relate to this one
Ok... I can think now.  LOL

I play to remain
two steps ahead
to outwit & outlast
Moves are made
adapting to ever
changing strategy
The resolve to
take calculated
risks and sacrifice
key pieces to
ensure victory
Knowing all of this
I still paly on a high
level in my mind
LIFES CHESS GAME
is real and take backs
are not optional as
we play for keeps
we play for survival
we play for love
we play for family
we play for redemption
we play to win.

In many ways we are different
color, race, ***, nationality and
heritage to name a few

The parallel is that we are similar
views, make up, character and
love of art, sports and culture

Many fail to understand our
connection and the levels that
it is built upon over time

Perfect, we are not... however
as a unit we move as one and
combine our strengths.

Like and axe to wood
you cut out my heart
aligning it with yours

APPREHENSIVE I was
yet I succumb to your
keen feminine wiles

I'm all in until time
passes away and I
no longer exist for love.

A reboot in life
is warranted
from time to time

The slate gets

Another chance

Add more color
levels of depth
spice things up

playing it safe
ill conceived regrets

Kick down doors
take some risks
step out on faith.

The rise and fall
advance and recess

You overflow
the space allowed

Restrictions abound
limitations none

Fluid in motion
a force of nature

Capes and coves
ponds and mangroves

Lunar control
gentle tides roll

Word of your prowess
commands respect.

I think of you as the moon is high
large and full as my heart is for you

Bright it gleams for all to view
crisp is the night I long to be in your arms

Perfume emanates from the curvatures of your frame
as the essence of you arouses my senses

My thoughts wander up and down your body
my hands claim all they can with a sensual touch

of sweet demure
blended or singular
varieties assured
Jam's, chutney's, jelly's
and beans.  Soups,
veggies, fruits and things.
Heated with pressure
and sealed with a twist
Root cellared for seasons
enjoyed like a sweet kiss.
OLD MASON JAR
picked high from the shelf
spreading goodness to all
with some benefits of health.

A Friday night and young
  men and women are on
     the prowl
Discovering temporary love
  or whatever it means to all
     who crave and lust
RELEASE THE HOUNDS
  they cry out, a mantra
     of the times
A clash of body and mindless
  stoke the passions of flesh
     revealing self
A blend of lies and truths
  are sprinkled about to
     deflect what's real
Pride is taken and guilt is
  shamed as an awakening
     forms to clear conscience.

Fears are stoked
and nightmares
are all laid bare

It really happened
the people have
collectively spoken

I never expected
I never thought
I never ever...

Sigh... its a new day
a change to be true
a brand new America

I will be optimistic
I will be supportive
I will at least try

Who am I kidding
at this point in time
Canada looks so good.

Strolling along the
path of my quiet place
I take the time observe
all the beauty of the
place I am in

From the unique wild
flowers to the birds that
seem to chirp differently,
to being free to roam about
stopping to smell the roses

My mind wiped clean of
all turmoil and daily stress
I meditate to obtain a much
deeper connecting with my
Father above to obtain peace

SOLITUDE invades my life
and speaks to me revealing
a calm, esoteric and relaxed
state of mind, which proves
essential in times of doubt.

From across the room
I subtly gaze upon you
in a manner that only
the two of us can share

My eyes work my way
from the bottom up to
catch your glossy wet
LIPS that call my name

Thoughts of tasting your
LIPS moves me to feel
a heightening of being
aware and ever present

My body flexes itself to
prove your abilities to
stoke a fire within me
and establish comfort

The connection of your
kiss erupts my entire
body to tremble with
joy and overt passion

I believe the spark that
lies between us and holds
true to its word, as we
engage one another.

The nostalgic aroma
of fresh baked
GINGERBREAD
takes me back to
youthful time of
holiday and family
Soft, moist and warm
with the lingering
smell of cinnamon,
nutmeg and ginger
is heavenly at best
Finished with fresh
whipped cream that
slowly oozes into the
warm slice and
overwhelms the
palate to an absolute
level 5 drool point.

Can't help myself
as I watch your
mouth open wide
as you attempt to
cover it up by hand
Your eyes close ever so
tight that a single tear
trickles down your
soft feminine cheek
My involuntary reflex
takes hold I mirror
your weary action
Ironically, everyone
near me reacts in a
similar fashion thus
becoming infectious
Not bored or tired,
however sometimes
it just happens to me.
Did I drool as I check
my dry chin... whew,
not this time.

Don't open it
as the stench
is totally raw
and can bring
the strongest
man down to
his knees
A BASKET OF
DISPOSABLES
with a tiny whiff
Eyes covered with
a possible tear
present from the
chemical munitions
from a soggy diaper.

As the day swings
into motion a silent
calmness surrounds
me just prior to the
worlds awakening

I RISE AND SHINE
with the morning sun
& encounter luminous
rays of warming light
falling fresh upon me

Conceding to its brazen
touch, I melt slowly in
a ritualistic peace with
the Lord before me and
the world behind me.

REM state...

Some relationships exist for a season
others are crafted to endure forever
Spirited feelings that run deep and
provide nourishment for the soul
A PROLONGED LOVE which
knows no boundaries & will
deliver peace, confidence
and hope above all
No wedge shall

Raised to believe what you are told
sometimes they didn't get it right
Beneath the muck and mire reveal
true to life issues with consequences
Fact checks confirm what we all know
however the need to triple check remains
The CORE VALUES we poses make us
who we are and build our character
Days by day we seek to stay connected
to friends, business colleagues & family
Have we lost touch with the personal
affect of shaking hands and saying hello?
Face to face and not only by computer screen,

Suspended high above the canopy
I swear that I can view a very slight
curvature of the Earth in my mind

Vigorous prep for safety purposes
I stable myself to fly if but only
for a moment in time to feel free

The ZIP LINE carries me over the
jungle-like tree line with speed
while I twist & turn semi controlled

I close my eyes briefly to understand
the sensation of flight with my hands
out to represent the superman appeal.

The breaking system tripped and I
arrive safely with a jolt and the nest
sky canopy ever is experienced.

Perched prone on a beach bed
with my feet dangling in the
pristine white sandy beach

Sea Gulls sing to me as they
search for their morning meal
as a cool breeze moves about

As I face towards the east and
catch the SUNRISE & SAND
as heaven and earth personified

Colors so brilliant and too bright
to view without my favorite shades
heat penetrates my pores and I glow

Rising  slowly into the sky amongst
the pillow-like clouds of peace
I wonder in amazement all day.

Say HIS name in love
when feeling low
Say HIS name in peace
to prove and show
Be lifted up by the
word and adhere to
the path set forth
Be sanctified by HIS
deeds and works
giving all to HE who
is king all by HIMSELF.
Be blessed and covered
by the blood that was
shed for mercy & grace.

to tears, laughter,

one is around
We evoke all the
emotion and passion

single lyric which
is global in nature
