Isaiah
Alexis paige Apr 2014
Isaiah keeps me up.
he lets the monsters in.
he helps them try and win.
he talks to me at the wee hours in the night.
reminding me of all my flaws
imperfections and scars.
he tells me how worthless i am.
how terrible i truely am.
he never stops.
the ringing in my ears.
his words, my fears.
his smile, my tears.

i'm just another girl in the crowd
trying not to make a sound
they don't know how many attempts i tried to win
how many burns on my skin
how many meals I've skipped
how many cuts on my wrist
how young i was
when i lost it all
my sanity and peace of mind
how many times i cried
i try to escape it all
if only for a while
i put on a show
because they don't know

not apart of the show
Alexis paige Jan 2014
the blade to my wrist
the razor in my fist
the gun to my chest
to put me to rest
i feel the arms around me
knowing i shouldn't have to pay this fee
i know it's not real.
the feeling of him here
because he doesn't know me
he walks on stage
sings the words on the page
i cry out his name
he doesn't here
i try every other year
he saved my life
but he doesn't know
because i'm not apart of the show
