fresh cut apple tree sawdust
light as duckling down
rests beneath late March blossoms
fragrances mingle
with the first buzzing bees –
songbirds perched
search for the perfect note
greeting the sunshine
springtime finally granting the Pacific Northwest
postcard mornings
and stress free
smiles
while driving –
arriving at Prison
the daybreak starlight
casts orange shadows
on pale blue walls
cobwebs flutter in soft breezes
and three blueish pigeons
coo their 'Hello' as I pass –
pleasantries and handshakes
at daybreak
warm sun and warmer greetings
as the education floor
buzzes
like the bees in the orchard –
She found solace in the ripples of water.
Distortion was her escape,
While mirrors were a matter for another day.
The seas could freeze,
The mountain caps could melt,
Who knows how the world could end?
Except for the love lost -
The world ends every night,
And begins again every morning
The night begs attention
silent, bold
unafraid of stillness
unafraid to hold
the fierceness,
fragility of breath
the finity of death
& behold her blackness,
the darkness,
and in the void to rest
to wait for what is left
and for the sun.
A boyish grin in your branches
you climb into the sky
with fingertips on tree-bark
to its shoulders, through its eyes
on red-gum scribbles
wooden heights

Barefoot, scamper upward
earth in your lungs
breathe deeply, and feel
the roots in your chest
as web-woven shadows
teeter along

Oh build your castle there
and champion truth
with that sun-blonde hair
in the sky of sea, adrift in the light
on cotton-white tides

As fifty-two birds fly
like cards, dealt ever upward
on skyscape velveteen
in their paper-skins, like you
take flight, take flight
with your hearts and your diamonds,

red as the land

below
Time's a kite
Still flying
We hold on
10w
Take your quill,
Dip it in my ink
Look me in the eyes,
Dont look away or blink
Write me a love poem,
Whisper it in my ear
Make me so hot,
My skin starts to sear
Make love to me on paper,
With your written words
Make my lust soar higher,
Than even the birds
Then when you're finished,
Use propper punctuation
It makes my body throb,
Takes my lust, to the highest elevation
