Shadows
Albero Centrale Apr 2014
Black little figure,
The same shape as me,
Copying my every move,
Like we’re the same person.

When I’m lonely,
You’re my closest friend.

But you hold my deepest fears,
The thoughts from my younger years,
Fear of the dark,
Something I can’t escape.

Yet I console in you with my deepest secrets,
Something they could never understand,
The people in the real world.

My Shadow,
Tied to me with strings,
Unbreakable bonds,
I just wish,
I could cut you loose.

through your eyes
you see the smiles
and laughter

through your eyes everything
is okay

in my eyes
the smiles are fake
hiding all the pain
and hurt

those laughs
just helping the cause
hiding what's inside

my eyes see it all

open your eyes
and maybe you'll see
this life i live

isn't all it's cracked up to be

Girl, Boy and Fate
Albero Centrale Apr 2014
There is a girl who lost her way
Lacks the sparkle in her eye
Darkness shrouds everyday
Feels like she wants to die.

There is a boy who is in pain
But fakes he is happy
Everyday his mind rains
And his eyes in which his forest grows sappy.

Fate brings them together
It is meant to be
He is meant to be with her
And finally they can both see.

There once was a girl who lost her way
Lacked the sparkle in her eye
Darkness used to shroud her everyday
Felt like she wanted to die.

There once was a boy who was in pain
But faked he was happy
Everyday his mind used to rain
And his eyes in which is forest grew sappy.

What I want is
enough money

To have what I want
what I want is

A good life
with only small cracks that I can repair

What I want is
a relaxful place to live

Where I'll never have to worry
what I want is

Everyone to be treated equal
so no one has to suffer

All I really want is
Peace.

if you walked a mile in my shoes

you say you went through it too
that i can always come to you
it happened to you
did it really?

just let me

to stop trying
to just quit already

Albero Centrale Apr 2014
Neither black or white
But a color in pencils
The feelings that people feel
When seen on shirts

But clouds have this color
On dark no energy nights
The clouds make a dark stormy feature
When they crawl to the sky

As the earth is asleep
And mix with the darkness
That falls from space
Where you can see neither black nor white
But grey

we would plan for weeks
just me and you
the dynamic duo

picking songs
creating dance moves for each one
no tv
just a laptop
and the beat of the tune

just me and you
the dynamic duo

weeks of planning
shoved into just a couple hours
we danced all night
made our own songs
talked about anything we thought of

when i look back
these days
every minute
was worth it
these are my favorite memories
it's like we couldn't leave each other's sides

long lost sisters
our parents couldn't handle us
as sisters
so we chose to be
sisters by choice
not by force

Our own twisted webs
Albero Centrale Apr 2014
Lies are a human spiderweb
we weave them without a second thought
justifying our falsehoods,
easing our pain by creating false realities
many go to escape from life’s burdens
the false freedom seems intoxicating
in actuality it is a trap composed of your own twisted web
one misstep and the delicate structure will snap
leaving you with nothing

Always selfish only thinking of our own pain,
no matter how minute
caging the truth like some sort of exotic creature
it too must be set free

The pain by telling the truth is soon healed and forgotten
whereas the toll of a lie is never ending

Man's Best Friend
Albero Centrale Apr 2014
He is what I like to call "interesting"
His head is too big for his body
His breath smells like peanut butter and
He is always tired
But he is all mine

Many would call him "cute" or "adorable" but
They don't know him like I do
He is Tonto- 95 pounds of pure love
He will always stick by your side but
There are times when he will hide

He can make me mad when he chews my shoes but
He can cheer me when I'm sad
Even when I'm down he can turn my frown upside down
He is a true joy to be around and
That's what best friends are

I can always tell when he's in the wrong because
His head sinks like a fish in the pond
Then his eyes slowly rise as if he is surprised
The big browns just give me a look
That say "I'm sorry and I know I've been naughty"

No matter what I always forgive
I owe it to him and he owes it to me
He knows were a true match meant to be
So our friendship will forever last
My baby Tonto and me

My eyes were just like the clouds that day
Dark
And full of rain
My tears streamed down my face and smashed onto the concrete floor...
Just like the rain
I cried in anger
I watched the beautiful little Rose die
Drained,
She lay there
As each of her petals fell off...one by one
I sat in the bed next to her,
Begging for an answer,
Flowers aren't ment to die, they're ment to be beautiful.

inspired by the dreaming villagers
he is motivated
to tinker

all he wants is the joy
and wonderment from them
he got what he wanted
he lives of it

But that's not enough
hunger building inside
he needs real food
meat

When the hunger is unbearable
he lurks through the shadows
he takes the villagers

eating them
then moving on
to repeat the process

The Quest
Albero Centrale Apr 2014
truth can be like finding an object in plain sight
we’re surprised even though it is obvious
it sometimes takes a major revelation to see what's there
many spend their whole life blind

we can miss truth by being fixated what seems clear
no one is pure evil nor virtuous
our brain may want to label
but truth evades such efforts

we place some on pedestals
they will always fall
breaking your heart along with it
or we judge others for past failures and mistakes
they aren't given the same opportunities

finding truth is not an easy task
we fail to grasp it when it’s obvious and
we grasp at falseness thinking we possess it

Wrapped in your arms

Wandering innocent eyes

“If I say I wouldn't be hostile,
could you say you would do the same?
If we're all made just a little bit broken,
tell me who is to blame?”

We’ve all got battle scars,
wounds from fights we’ve already lost.
You made me promise not to get this bad,
but I can’t seem to control myself around you anymore.

The voices are building up,
I promised,
and I’m still not taking back my word,
but you’ve turned your back.
And you left me in the dark.

I thought I loved you,
but I realized this whole time I was wrong.
I break at the mere mention of your name,
driving my entire life downhill.

I’m always going to be,
a broken imperfect mess.
I tried to change for you,
but there’s nothing else to change.

I’m a damaged marionette,
lying in your disapproving hands.
But this won’t be my defeat.
With my bones exposed,
I stand up and fight.

Fighting for my life back,
for all I want to be.
I might have lost the battle,
but I’m going to win the war.

Lets see how much you need me.

I’m done playing your endless games,
find a different pawn,
I’m through.

“If I say I wouldn't be hostile,
could you say you would do the same?
If we're all made just a little bit broken,
tell me who is to blame?”

Books are like people,
Bent,
Broken,
and folded in places,

They're judged by their covers,
What they look like,
How they act,
Their name,

So the older, uglier ones get thrown away,
Just because they are not perfect anymore?
And the shiny, newer ones replace them,
Just because they look better and never have been torn?

But there's a special place beneath all this misery,
Somewhere hidden deep beneath the covers,
Where a true story develops,

They may look boring from the outside,
But when you really get to know them,
Read their pages,
Learn their story,

You'll find the truth,
And the truth is beautiful.

I lost my daily stuff to play around on.

At first they think your losing habit would change

I lost my grades
I lost my job
I lost my respect

In a giant round circle,
The bright lights shinning above,

Darkness seeping into the mind,
For the bright lights are now gone,
Replaced by haunting memories,

Now spinning my way into death,
The ride turns into a nightmare,
Dark vines gliding along the walls,

An image of an old family,
And then like magic it all fades away.

Time or Space?
Albero Centrale Apr 2014
Which came first, time or space

The flow of time is the rout I go
There's something that connects everything in this time
Time had of been made, when the space was being made
Even if there was nothing, it's only a matter of time when it's made
If there's something before, the arms will still click.

Space is the logical explanation
Everything has been made, even time
Is time real? Is it fake?
Or is was there was no time before space from nothing to time,
Maybe space is something that doesn't begin but goes on.

2 sides of every coin, who said they both came around that same "Time"

Once one fell, the rest were to follow
He is coming

This closed world, shut off from others,
Clasped in the iron grip of thought
Unable to move freely.

Claws rip at the fabric of being,
Shredding and destroying nothing.
Only showing how desperate they are
For and escape from this place.

Many claws, many struggle,
None make it away. just slip deeper
Into the Abyss of nothingness.

The walls are braced, and stout.
Built with power and defense in mind.
Containment no wall goes without.
Yet the living see it as protection.

Herded, like swine to a slaughter
Those who struggle weep,
And those who weep,  fall deeper

But light will shine on those who’s
Will never falters, only grows brighter
As the angles give a swoon.
They are saved, and in turn save others

Those who suffer under the watchful gaze,
Of the others not Walled Off.

The past has fully risen
My mistakes now present
My heart tends to beat faster now
Always afraid for the future

I never thought of myself as I truly am
I’m somewhat unique, having my own personality
I’m pretty normal perhaps even average
But I never knew I was one of them

They are the ones everyone can hear at lunch even if they don’t want to
Always yelling and screaming
Many will sneak a judgmental glance and sneer
But I won’t they are my friends and I am one of them

I do admit we are a crazy clan
Kind of weird and awkward
But they are the few I can trust that will always forgive and forget
And that’s what true friends do

Even while you’re at your worst, they make you feel as if you’re at your best
They are always there to support and forgive
But there are times were you may fight
But if you are true friends they will always forgive

In my eyes life is full of mistakes
But your true friend will always be there to help
Some mistakes may be worse than others yet we shouldn’t be afraid of what may come
The future is still unknown
And that’s the way it should be

Is it just something we hear and feel better too because we can relate,
Or is it the memories it brings to us that we like,

Maybe its the fact that when we are listening to that one song,
It makes the world seem so small,
But around us we are still there,
