when the wolves stop licking at my marrow then
i'd hope to find your face there -
but i'm alone there in the wood
and i'm alone here in this wood.
and you are a shadow
and i am a pain-emptied husk,
whistling and
melting into the branches and the leaves.
i am broken bones.
i am a thousand lost things.
i am breathing, i am barely,
and i am alive,
but i wouldn't know it.
I wallow in my own misery.
The taste of defeat is bitter sweet.
I drew the wrong card,
the wrong hand,
the wrong deck.

I don't know what is who,
who is what,
where is when,
when is where.

I know absolutely nothing.

The wolves howl tonight,
a constant, soothing hymn.
If I were to die tonight,
I would be happy where I am.

Because the barrel of the gun,
which rests in my mouth,
is cool enough to numb my pain,
and powerful...

Powerful enough to end this game.

Slyly,
swiftly,
silently,
secretly,
sweating with a breeze.

In, out,
get out,
hurry up,
don't make a sound,
and come back soon please.

Night,
after night,
after night,
after night,
and we know this isn't right.

But do we care,
no one cares,
pull my hair,
please do share,
you do this so right.

Keep going baby,
make my night.

I fell,
into my dream.
The world around me was so small,
and I was big.

I was ******,
into a black hole.
So I swam in the lava,
it was cold.

Do I really need to be with you?
Am I just setting myself up?
Do I have a clue?

Reborn,
into a cosmic aftermath.
I laughed at the priest in the clown suit,
face painted, awfully rude.

I ask,
is there one true god?
The man in the mask answered simply,
why stop with one?

I need to know the true truth from you.
I need to know how much to love you.
What is the purpose of actions with no purpose?
They just end up ******* us all.
As we await,
my fall.

Falling,
falling,
falling,
out of space.

Out of my dream,
out of my head.
I slowly fall,
back into my bed.

The dream was just a dream.
