The lights dont shine
As bright as they say in New York City
And a rose can't grow between
The sidewalk cracks
Eliza Feb 2020
I needed you and you needed me, I was your light and you were my sanity. little did I know You were a snake you bite me and  your poison was slow, I was to caught up in your beauty to feel anything real on my own. I needed you but but it turns out you never needed me, you ate me up but you never spit me out  you trapped me in a sense of melancholy now I'm stuck in your illusion my best friends are complacency and self doubt. I always loved you but you never loved me...
Hey this is my first poem on here so go easy on me 😅
