I try to describe what's playing in my mind.

I love beautiful sunrises and hearing the ocean waves roll in
The noon time sunlight dancing on the water or hearing the wind
Walking along the beach looking for sea shells or fishing off the  pier
I take it all in; then let my mind say what it feels

I'm thankful for all the food; especially the turkey

I sit and watch as the night rolls in
Fireflies are dancing in the trees
Frogs are croaking in the creek
It's a beautiful June Night

Fireflies always show up at the first of June
I counted down the days
When I knew that they would be here soon
The flashing on and off of their yellow lights
It's Christmas in June when they fly around my pine

I sit in the dark and watch the show
When the night grows darker there is the moon glow
Add the stars and it's a glorious sight
Thank you God for this beautiful June night

Words float in the air
They rearrange themselves into a sentence
form a picture of a train and roll away

Words shaped like balloons
They float away but will be back soon

Words hiding in a tree
Leaves fall to the ground and form sentences for me

Musical notes rearrange themselves on a scale
Fingers jumping from fret to fret
or dancing on the piano keys
These are some of the things I see

Ocean waves roll in and write on the sand
Once it just wrote, "I AM"
Seashells with words lie on the beach
In a sentence they realign
Thank you Lord for this beautiful mind

The reason I am sometimes troubled is because I care
When we judge or are judged is not always fair
I've assumed things and they did not turn out to be
Others have twisted my words and wrongly judged me

I am blessed enough that I do not have too many conflicts
and only one that I can remember that I could not fix
I tell myself that even the Lord could not convince everyone
but that makes it no less troublesome

So I let time go by
and I pray at night
Always wondering why
and trusting that the Lord will make it right

Today is another day
It is a day to dream
You can do anything
Just Believe

Be the reason that someone smiles today
Be the reason that everything is going to be OK
Be the reason that someone has a great day

Why does someone choose to lead, instead of follow
Why does someone push the limits and not live in a box
Why does someone thrive on a challenge and another shy away
I guess it could be taught or could be learned but some people are
just born that way

I'm going to capture the Christmas Spirit in a bottle
And keep it for a year
When I find someone who is down on their luck
I will pour them a cup
Remind them that the Savior is always there

I can't wait until I get off at six
So I can head to Covington to get my Oktoberfest fix
To sit in Goebel Park's courtyard and listen to a German band;
with the German style Pied Piper Bell tower; the view is grand
At the Goose Girl Fountain, a walking German band can be found
I guess my heritage is ingrained but I like that sound
Brats with sauerkraut, roasted nuts and some German beer
Come on six o'clock I want to be there!

Dandelion, dandelions everywhere
Their yellow as beautiful as golden rods in a field
Enjoy their beauty before they turn into a fuzzy ball
Enjoy them now; soon there will be nothing on the stem at all

Dawn and Dusk a mystery to us
The changing of the color of the sky
How the sunlight shines only on the tree tops
It's majestic and pleasing to our eyes

At dawn the sky flows from gray to orange to blue
At dusk from blue to orange to black
The brush strokes a combination of all the great artist of the past
The mystery leaving memories that last

The dawn sunlight first touches the top of trees
At dusk the sunlight does a repeat
Like some religious experience
Dawn and dusk gives the appearance of being blessed

Dawn has a calm and tranquility about it
The sun rises; the beginning of something new
Dusk  shows up for an encore performance
The sun sets; enhances you with beauty before it rest

After the rain comes sunshine
After winter comes spring
After sadness comes happiness
After failure comes dreams

Hope, love and peace for everybody

Sitting on the swing in my yard
Looking out past the fence line a far
Past the trees and the rolling hills
My mind starts wandering; its own free will

People get hung up on things
They get mad and are angered about nothing
Right in front of them is a beautiful flower
Just waiting for them to smell it and
let their problem wash away like dirt in a shower

Now before you lash out with your viper tongue
Ask yourself do you really want to hurt someone
If you have done something to cause someone pain
Do whatever you can to make it right again

The winter air has it's bite
The sunshine makes me warm inside
In the world everything isn't right
but with love in your heart

On the ocean the full moon shown its light
It created a pathway a mystical sight
In my mind I followed its path
From the shoreline to the horizon I found utopia at last

If we try a litter harder

Constantly under attack
Everybody is scrambling the facts
But we can rise above

Continue to trust in God
Believe that everything has a reason
Pray for answers

So much frustration
A world you can nolonger relate to

In the middle of Paradise is the forbidden fruit
Tortured by the beauty; pained by the limitations
A heart is touched, the feeling, a beautiful sensation
A energy that moves  and motivates
The forbidden fruit; on the mind, continuous replay

They say let it go; move on
but it plays in your head like a favorite song
If someone gives you life and makes you strong
Do you want to be right and forever long

There is a full moon in the sky
I walked out the door and it caught my eye
I hopped in my car and I began to drive
The moon was my guiding light

Cruising down the road I couldn’t help but stare
Around every turn that full moon was still there
My mind was wondering here, there and everywhere
That beautiful moon with its guiding glare

There is something about a full moon in the sky
There is an energy that makes you feel alive

I saw an old tire hanging from a tree
My mind drifted back to old time memories
Swinging on a tire for hours at a time
I like to drift back to those good old days
When life was free

We used to go down to the river and swing from a vine
Doing tricks that did not work out half of the time
Making a painful splash and everyone had a good laugh

Now a days I have to go to work
Pay the bills and deal with life's quirks
Life is still an adventure but without all the thrills

From time to time I get together with friends
I still run with most of the guys that I did back then
We sit at a campfire and tell the same old stories over and over again
