Treasure Hunting

Treasure - precious words floating out there
Hunting - to search that we know to exist

Words written by thousands
Now relegated to times past
Speaks of persons mindset
When penned at long last

I like to search at random
Ensuring, it not a chore
Lays out the mood unfolding
Over time, when scored

Many a memories are jarred
By comments on time forgotten
We sigh with a smile, feeling
Elated or downright rotten

Either way, past is now past
Piling up a mountain high
Always intending to revisit
Years, decades, my, time flies

Many a words I may tweak
In light of new perceptions
But that will be misguided
Innocence lost by corrections

Lets jar each other's memories
Revisit words laced with emotions
New flurry of comments back n forth
Reward new life to times forgotten

What Will Happen If .... II
02/06/2019

The human species disappeared

The scars left on its surface
And the deep cuts in its belly
Man made structures untended
And mass **** of its valleys
Will be healed by the specie
That allowed others to survive
Though it itself was tortured
By uncontrolled greed and drive

Left behind those timid species
Bred for food and pleasure
Will soon succumb to predators
For no longer pampered as treasure
Those that were caused to go extinct
Regrettably, can no longer be revived
The only solace one can muster,
Those left behind, multiply and survive

Towering structures and machines
Caused by bleeding the land
Show as pock marks on the surface
Over time devoured, where they stand
Left behind also those petro-products
That will take eons to disintegrate
Being absorbed in soils and oceans
Causing survivors pain to regenerate

Choking gasses will immediately cease
Giving survivors a chance and comfort
While the imprint of humans left behind
Eventually crumbling to dust and dirt
As Earth, instantaneously starts to heal
It's amazing, a tiny specie called man,
Even as new eco-system come into play
Caused such destruction, in short span

Earth will instantaneously start to heal
Surviving species taking only their need
And eventually balance will be restored
As future be devoid of man and greed

Loves Dormant Memories
09/26/2019

Loves dormant memories,
relegated to the forgotten realm
Once freshly recounted, when,
sorrowful heart, stood at helm

Jarred from their slumber,
The heartache, begins anew
With whom to share
Old age, has left, but a few

The memories of young love,
that once stood by my side
Have come flooding back
Tears, I wish, to no longer hide

Alone, many a decades lapsed
Though only a short span together
Time could not steal from me
What seemed, would last forever

Alas, this moment too will pass
Wondering! what's real, what's not,
Poetry, need not, real events
Just a lonely heart, to create again.

We can't hide, what's visible Afraid to show, what's invisible

Love's recipe

What is love's recipe

A sprinkle of pixie dust
Or a gentle love's touch

A whiff of love's potion
Or a breeze of a love's kiss

A whisper of a sweethearts sound
Or a silence, when words are superfluous
How to express what remains aloof

Lost Loves Memories

On the wings of howling wind
Came roaring back, time forgotten
Reigniting the dying ambers of love
In its wake, tormenting memories

Lost am I
Wandering aimlessly
Left to walk alone
On loves deserted pathway

With every gust
A painful recollection
Deep breaths of sigh
With sorrowful heart

On the wings of howling wind
Came roaring back, time forgotten
Tormented by
Lost loves memories
Based on a song I heard

one tells you to stay, the other - walk away,
but when it comes to love,
mind has little role to play

I can visualize their robes of
maroon, purple n navy blue
clutching their bejeweled scepter

I can visualize their robes of
alabaster white with regal collars
clutching their precious scriptures

I can visualize their robes of
black, covering from head to toe
clutching their precious gavel

And then I realize, I am blinded by
Fictitious politics, faith and justice

at dusk I reflect on the hours past,
dwelling on my deeds of last,
not realizing that by such an act
I am wasting moments of present

for that, which has receded to annals,
no matter how much I may wisheth,
undo, recall, repent
forever, that cannot be erased

going forth if my actions be earnest,
no matter, the span remaining,
let me ever have to contemplate,
knowing, load be lessened.

Sense Perception
05/12/2020

Forever a captive of my senses
Embroiling me with pain n pleasure
Unable to fathom their hold on me
Endlessly chasing rainbow treasure

I see the beauty in nature
It's strength as well as its frailty
I marvel with awe and splendor
Am a witness to its harsh brutality

I hear the sounds of the roaring falls
Orchestral music of birds n insects
Echoes bouncing of caves n valleys
Cacophony of preys in distress

Fragrance of flowers in bloom, I inhale
Whiff of soil stirred by first rain drops
The array of spices that fill my nostrils
The stench declaring life's mortality

I taste the sweet nectar of honey n such
Delicious flavors from around the world
All kind of essences that touch my buds
Warning inferred by bitterness as well

I feel the gentle breeze on a hot summer's night
The cool waves on the beach, lapping my feet
Love's kiss by a spouse, parents, friend or a child
And the heat of the scorching sun or a flaming fire

Knowing that the senses perception
That I feel, taste, smell, hear or see
Is firmly attached to the temporal body
Can't hold me hostage, when the soul is free
Being indifferent to the pleasures and pain of the sense objects, would sure free us from the sens e perception

Interaction

I walk down the garden path, and cause the action of motion
I rejoice in the beauty of nature, and cause the action of emotion
I hear the cacophony of chimpanzees, and call it commotion
I watch water come to boil, lapse of time, senseless inaction
I watch the sand of hourglass flow, knowing inaction to be action
Understanding how progression will happen, relies on my reaction
Even what appears in life as stagnant, requires my interaction
