I walked in the dark when he found me
Lucifer in his magnificence
Glowing so radiantly
The dark disappears
And it’s in a garden we find ourselves
‘My child’ he says
For a Millennia you have been lied to
For from the dark it was always me
Pushing you
From the dark I watched as you grew
Triumphant in the face of my father’s pain
It is me who will never leave
For I was cast out for my love of you

I used to call myself the Black Sheep
I thought it was fun being the family outlier
But then I realized I wasn’t the black sheep
I just didn’t belong
I realized this wasn’t my family
Just humans I coexisted with
And honestly I’ve never felt more lost

Maybe I do say I love you too much
I just know there’s too many people
That left before I could say it again

I don’t know what it is
If it’s the feeling I get
When you’re around
Or if it’s the way
You challenge me
To do more
To do better
For me

Is this what I truly want
To close the door
On every tomorrow
Standing at the edge of Oblivion
At the end of my world
Why am I afraid to be happy?
What is it that truly frightens me?
Living but dead
Wishing to be alive
