There are no words left
To describe the emptiness
In the hearts of men

Who will steal food from children
And place mothers in cages

There are no poems left
That can take away power
From those who crave it

They will build walls of sorrow
For generations to come

What hope do we have
When some brave men do nothing
While the people wait

We must build a wall of hope
That will change a nation’s path

The people must rise
From this spell of disbelief
Lift their voices high

Break through those walls of sorrow
Into the future of love
There are the sea winds
And the white sails overhead
Dolphins swim below

Vow
I will sing for you
All my life will dance for you
And never think twice

In the brilliant dawn
The bold streak of your red hair
Slides across my eyes

The night
scattered its stars
across an asphalt sky.
We, you and I, stood
at the edge
of the precipice
watching.
Behind us,
stood the powers that be
counting down from ten.

Lone tree in a field
Bends to the weight of the wind
Shelter from the storm
Robin Edwards Jun 11
we struggle with lies
pushing the edges of faith
walking a thin line
we balance on the tightrope
when we fall, we fall from grace
