Flying arrows
Jake 4d
When I looked upon the firmament,
grey clouds were there no more.
What my eyes saw was confident,
in shaking me to the core.

A golden bow, brimming with strength,
showed itself to me.
It showed me in its divinity,
how to be free.

The arrow was shot and flew and flew,
and my soul did too.

Kissed by the sun,
caressed by wind,
embraced by the clouds,
welcomed by the earth and sea.

Strong, childlike, carefree.
I truly was blind,
because I never knew eternity.

In the end, all I ever did was fly back to me.

Comfort
Jake 5d
Crescent moon, a scythe,
cutting through the darkest nights.
I exhale. Relief.

Why?
Jake 5d
Why?
Why you?
Why me?
Why ask?
Just be.

Peace

Sunlight on my face,
Leaves gleaming with timeless grace,
Spring's joy does amaze

Futility
Jake 6d
Drip, drip, drop;
Glisten and chop,
ensanguined blade,
all for naught.

Vertigo
Jake 6d
When you spin and spin, round and round, and yet no path ever comes around;
When your tired feet stumble in shame, and your shadow follows from whence you came,
You will know that dreams come and go,
and that life is just a long vertigo.
