We write about love,
And it's ups and downs.
It's all we seem to know.
I know I'm guilty
Of this too,
My poems with surly show.

Forget about love,
Just for a while,
Take your mind off the thought.
Just relax and write,
About something new,
Whether you'd like to or not.

We all need a break,
From the stress of love.
So let's take a short vacation.
Let's wait a bit,
To bring back love,
Hold off it's reincarnation.

For I am a nobody.
I have no skills or talents.
I'm not even sure,
Why I'm on this earth,
I just upset the balance.

No one understands why I hide.
I don't want to be found,
Especially by you,
You're the one who lied.

I don't want trophy,
Or a special award,
That's not what I'm about.

I've never like,
This world we've build,
It's certainly bound to fail.

Well at least I have two of the three...

I close my eyes,
Yet I still see you.
You're burned into my mind,
Branded in my thoughts.

I plug my ears,
But still hear your voice.
It plays in my head,
Like a CD set on repeat.

I cover my nose,
I can still smell your perfume.
It's sweet and wonderful,
Just like you.

I close my mouth,
Yet is till can taste your kiss.
So soft and loving,
Like nothing I've ever known.

You're imprinted on me,
I'll never forget.
You're all I know,
You're all I can remember.

I climb the mountain,
To prove a point,
Not to you,
Or to them,
But to myself.
I already know,
You think I can't.
So why should I care,
What you think.
I'm the one climbing,
Not you.

It's impossible you say,
Maybe for you.
Not for me.

No mountain is to high,
To steep,
To dangerous,
To challenging,
Not for me.

*You say it can't be done,
I say not with that attitude.

As the sunsets,
And ends this day,
I ask myself,
Why things didn't go my way?

What did I do,
To deserve this hurt?
My wounds reopened,
Rubbed in with dirt.

I feel the sting,
Inside my chest.
My hearts on fire,
No time to rest.

But I must sleep,
I must proceed.
For tomorrow is a a new day,
A new day to achieve.

So I close my eyes,
Forget the pain.
I open my window,
And fall asleep to the rain.
