A Great Responsibility
Matt Nov 2015
A small tear falls
From my eye

Sometimes I wonder why

Seems this shoulder
Is meant to be

But that's okay
It's just me

A bit of an akward shoulder
I will bare

It is my responsibility
To show great care

A Heavenly Banquet
Matt Nov 2015
We all breathe the same air

The prideful rich
The humble poor

Each of us
Sets foot
Outside of our doors

Off to meet
This life a test

Love your neighbor
And be true

Do unto others
As you would have them
Do unto you

Are you meet
With comtempt
Or disregard?

I know life
Can be sometimes
Quite hard

Each one of us
Has so many times

Use them wisely
And at the heavenly banquet
You may one day dine

All the wise and loving humans
Will be seated there

They have one thing in common

They showed great care

Alone
Matt Nov 2015
Go on suffering
That's all I can do

12 turns to 1
And then to 2

No smiling woman
No woman who cares
To give me a hug
Or say "there there"

Just more hours
Alone and alone

And I still keep writing
These rhyming poems

An afternoon
At the park alone

And who really cares

No woman to comfort
No woman to say. "There, there"

One day it will be over
One day it will be done

And turns out earth is lame
And not much fun

I enjoy my job I guess
I try not to let my room become a mess

There is always less
Less and less

Welcome to life
Some type of test

A Couple Likes Here
Matt Nov 2015
A couple likes here
A couple likes there

I'm grateful for likes

And I find it quite queer

That people just keep on
Doing what they do

Human life is strange

People as me
How are you?

Why should it matter
And only a few people
Actually care

Yes, I enjoy eating pears
Matt Nov 2015
I guess I'll go
To the gym again

I ate a Rice Krispie Treat
This morning
Along with some cereal

It was quite good
Had one last night too

Not that many calories
Or sugar
And quite good

But I won't get in the habit
Of writing them

If you could just see me
At my computer
See my dull face

I'm fairly content
Overall I suppose

There is food
And water
And clothing
And hot showers here

And I'm thankful
For these things

Human Life
Matt Nov 2015
Hey Jesus
Why couldn't
This place earth
Have been better?

I guess Adam and Eve
Ruined it for all
Of humanity

But The Creator knew
They would do that

But he made them anyway

So sickness
And physical problems
Can be blamed
On Adam and Eve

So I guess
I can blame my shoulder
On Adam and Eve

It's their fault
I guess

The Cameraman
Matt Nov 2015
My plain earth body
My dull face

Sometimes I like to think
Of my life
As one long
Boring movie

Just a bunch of scenes

But In this movie
I wasn't acting

I was just the cameraman
The guy filming the scenes

Any my brain
Can be compared
To the video camera

Here's a shot of me eating
Now filming exercise
Then at work
Then hitting golf *****

I imagine some people
Looking of the footage
Of my life that I took

They see me chipping golf *****

Isolated American
Matt Nov 2015
Sometimes

I get tired
Of this place
Earth

I guess its not having
A close female companion

All the hours alone
In another cultures
In another countries
And societies

People have more close friends
Communities

Not here in America
Here we just mostly have screens

And I love Youtube and podcasts
But I want a female friend

Twice The Minimum Wage
Matt Nov 2015
I find myself wanting
Some type of different experience

Friendship
And maybe hugging
A female friend

But I doubt that will come

Are society is so isolating

I am paid twice the minimum wage
Kind of lame
To spend all that money on college
And a credential

Just to barely make enough
To pay my bills

Hopefully when I get full time
I can make enough for my own
Small apartment

I'm content
I'm not complaining

I didn't become
A teacher for the money

I just think
That I should be paid
More than twice the minimum wage

It is in fact not even
Twice the minimum wage

This country
Doesn't have a future anyhow

Just store food
And get ready for a collapse I guess
Matt Nov 2015
Have a great night
Or have a good night

It is repeated to me
Again and again

It is just a night

Just a night
Is all it is

Just like it is
Just a day

It is not great

It is the day
Then the night

Falling away

Not striving
The Tao Is Like water

This is a program

Empty yourself
Of all desire
Matt Nov 2015
I guess my left shoulder
Will always be akward

I did nothing to
Deserve this

It's just some random thing

No need to bother
To ask why
To pray and to look at the sky

Forever akward
At least I'm not disabled
Or handicapped

Though I can relate
To how these people feel

I want to have a female companion
And to have a love that is real

I have to remind myself
Not to desire this

As it will most likely never come

It turns out this place
Is some organic program
And isn't non action fun

Going here
And going there

I like to write
I like to share

Sunday and all alone again
No one gives a sh**
I said with a grin

I'm thankful for Youtube
And podcasts too
Without them
I don't know what
I would do

Gratitude Was Not Shown
Matt Nov 2015
Oh You Should have seen me
I wish you could have been there
To enjoy this show with me

I was at a favorite park of mine
I lay on the grass
Just to pass the time

An asian lady
With her two small dogs
That came to play

I was content and feeling gay

Then a man with
A bigger dog
Came along

This rhyming poem
Becomes a song

One small dog
Followed the man
Out of the park

The owner called to her dog
So it wouldn't be lost in the dark

Then the man encouraged it
To return to its owner

Before she had a fit

The small dog eventually
Turned around

And followed
The asian lady
And its companion dog
Back to town

The Asian lady
Did not wave
Or say thank you
In any way

She just turned
And walked away

People can be aloof
And a bit cold
She must have been
At least 30 years old

I just laughed
And thought it sad

Then I returned
To my pad

Let The Times Pass Through
Matt Nov 2015
Let the times
Pass through

That's all one can do
1 p.m
It will turn to 2
And then 3, and then 4

Life can sometimes
Be a bore

Looks like
I will be going to
Bed alone again

At least I have my pillow
I said with a grin

And thankful to
Have food too

When food runs out
There will be nothing
We can do

Except meditate
Underneath
The shade of tree

Until the hunger overcomes me
WIth no food
The body dies

I enjoy looking
Up at the sky

There is no acting
Within this program

When dealing
With people
Be kind and gentle

Return bitterness
With care

My feet are going
To be on the ground

My head is there
To move me around

Where you "work"

Funny song

Stand there

Some Thoughts
Matt Nov 2015
In some kind of way
One big
Predetermined program

A career chosen
Exercise
And leisure activities

Still, there is enjoyment
In the small things

Caring and showing
Kindness to others

Blueberry tea
Watching the dogs play
At the park

Same dull frown
Same akward shoulder

I suppose its just a shoulder
No big deal

I suppose they were
My friends
I guess I'd still like to be friends
If they would call?

I will buy more socks
A belt
Underwear and immodium

Chipping golf ***** is fun

When Our Society Collapses

When society has collapsed

When the food is gone

When emergency services
Are too busy

We will be alone
In our homes

And when they try to

I will have things

Hard Times May Be Coming
Matt Nov 2015
When war comes
Not a matter of if
But when

History repeats
Itself
Again and again

Have to stay fit
Have to stay thin

The food supply
Will dwindle down

Perhaps U.N. troops
Will be occupying our towns

Those muscle bound men
WIth so much mass
It will be harder
For them to last

There will be
Barely enough to eat

I will be grateful to
Own many pairs of good socks
And good running shoes
On my feet

I have two can openers too
Just look what I can do

Our own supply will last a month
Or two
After that, we are just plain *******

If I could save up enough money
I would buy more

For there are terrible times
In store

The glow of the smart phones
Lulls them away
Living in a dream world

But there is trouble today

America broke
And at her end
This economy will not mend

Dig your holes deep
Pile earth and wood
Exposure to radiation
Is no good

If there is a war
I just hope

That there are no
Nuclear bombs

They are no joke

Stream of Consciousness
Matt Oct 2015
Some type of organic matrix
And who really cares
Look at that guy with
The ugly akward shoulder
Standing over there

Jesus didn't fix his shoulder
Despite the prayers

Life is kind of lame
And stupid
So there

An emptiness
A void
That's what life is

I told the therapist
This is how I felt

And she said
Well, you shouldn't feel that way

Turns out she was wrong
She's just a liar anyway

Never trust anyone
Who likes Disneyland
What a ******* up place

Life is meant for suffering
Everyone gets a taste

Different times
And different places
Different names
And different faces

First I went to the market
Then to work
Then to the gym

I ate I slept
Then repeated the same
******* thing
Over and over again

And I prefer to be a substitute
I'm kind of a lazy guy

Looking at the trees and sky
I don't bother asking why

It would have been nice
To be symmetrical

But God doesn't care
He's just a clockmaker
Sets the world running
And says, "So there"

And miracles are only for
People that lived in Jesus's time

I had to complain
And I know I shouldn't whine

We go through all these things
And we say these prayers
Then Jesus doesn't work
His healing magic
Seems he doesn't care

It's just a small burden
One that I can bare

I imagine myself
Looking at myself
"Hey, that's me"

Hitting ***** on the range

I made a hologram of myself
To talk to aliens on other planets
And we both agreed human life
Is quite strange

My hologram tells the alien
All the feelings I have

The alien would listen
And comfort me too

And he was there to give me a hug

We talked about Jesus
And I told him I really got tired
Of waiting for you

I'm writing this poem to Jesus as well
Asked him for forgiveness
So I won't go to hell

I'm just the every man
And I have a story to tell

Walking akwardly up the mountain
I am going to live with buddhist monks
By banging sticks against bells

And then I'll go on a great journey
With these men

I'll travel the Great Wall
I watched each step carefully
So I didn't fall

I hope to meet women on
This trip
Or someone who actually cares

The society it isolates us
It leaves us all alone

Where have all the people gone Jesus?

So I sit alone
And write these poems

I'll walk and meditate in a park
There is only the present after all

Look there is a group of young adults
About my age
Having fun throwing a ball

But I'm so akward
They didn't ask me to play

When you feel akward
In your own body
You will live and die this way!

The woman is not coming
Or no one who ever cares

It's just a repeat of preschool
And I want everyone to stay away
And I don't need anyone but myself, okay?

Now terrorists are coming
And our country has announced a war

It's a volunteer army
And I'm going to settle the score
Not afraid to die

Because I never knew how to live
People asking me why I seem
So far away and distant
They want to know what gives

I'm in the army now
With food and water
That is all I need
Every **** Jihadi
Better take heed

I do my duty
Until the job is done
Every Taliban member
Is total complete ****

A somewhat tortured individual
And no one really cares
Sitting typing on the computer

And as I drive my car
I see the birds flying there

This time
To next time
That's all this life is

Standing on the side yard
I had to take a wizz

We are born to suffer
And born to die

I do enjoy
A sweet cherry pie

Pushing my shoulder into the ground
I have to fix it
God ******!

There is quiet in my room
You won't hear a sound
I enjoyed writing this poem as it served as a type of cathartic release I suppose.

Another Shoulder Poem
Matt Oct 2015
I asked Jesus
To heal my shoulder
Because it is an annoyance, okay?

In fact, it bothers me
Each and every day

Why won't he fix it?
Why won't he make it
Go away

Alot of times
I believe He can

I believe in the miracles
Of the Bible
How people were healed
In different ways

Seems as though
This bigger left shoulder
Is just here to stay

With cinnamon and spice

She enjoys hiking and knitting

Hold each other on the couch

It feels good to be cared for
I don't need to explain anything to her

I love her and she held me
As I cried

It wasn't fair to me I said
All that time alone

She is my goddess and protector
Strong powerful legs
And a toned fit bottom

She does pilates and runs
She swims and meditates

And with my tongue
I pleasure her
And she is so grateful

My friend, my protector
And my goddess

Lonely Saturday Night
Matt Oct 2015
I have a couple hundred dollars
In my account

I make just enough to
Pay my bills

The small amount
Of money

I have saved up
Will go to meet
The detuctible

I was hit in my car
A few weeks ago
And not at fault

Over 100,000 dollars
On college
And a credential

And you can't even make
Enough in this miserable state
To share an apartment somewhere

Maybe one day I'll find full time

You know it's not healthy
To spend so much time alone
I'd like to spend time
With kind and caring women

Oh well
Just eat and go
To the gym

See the pretty women there
Who I'll never know

Try to fix my shoulder
(It's permanent I guess)
Spend 7 dollars on
A protein bar
An organic food bar
And energy chews

There was this guy with
The disorder who stopms his
Feet on the treadmill
Nice guy, and very strong too

Then there was the couple dancing
The beautiful asian goddess
Fun to see such a beautiful woman

The dog is barking
I am poor

I'm content
Just hope to meet
A woman one day
To be friends

Who knows
Maybe someday

Tomorrow I'll go chip

First I go here
And then I go there

I guess this is life
And who really cares

Everyone
Is doing their own thing

It's all absurd
I saw a flock of birds

First I see this
And then I see that
Yes my name, is indeed Matt

One day it will be over
And done

I guess that was life
Kind of lame and boring
And not that fun

And in heaven I'll relax
And play golf there

Then I'll get to meet
This Jesus who cares

Why didn't you heal my shoulder
Like I asked?
It would have been an easy task

I was kind and loving
To everyone I met

And still you just let me suffer
On and on

Kind of lame of you
And kind of wrong

I asked for your forgiveness
Now apologize to me
For not fixing my shoulder
You just "let me be"

You healed people in the Bible
But that was a different time

I don't mean to complain
Or to whine

It was a simple request
I guess you tried your best

Forever Akward
Matt Oct 2015
The body is just
This thing

It has desires
For food and for ***

And the mind wonders
What this life is
Anyhow

Hours alone
My akward shoulder
Never changing
Never improving
Despite my efforts

And look at the beautiful
Fitness goddess
On instagram

In love with herself
With her body

Better I suppose not to
Take so much pride
And devote so much time
To the body

Although I do enjoy fitness

I just wish I didn't have
An akward shoulder

Oh well, nobody cares
Walking akwardly
From here to there

A world full of emptiness

Pleasuring myself to fitness babes
On instagram

And after that desire is fulfilled
The desire to eat again

On and on and on
God the clockmaker

Sitting on his throne
Or whatever

Your earth has really gone
Terribly wrong

We are tired of waiting
For the second coming
Of your Son

The saints are crying out
When will justice be done?

Life isn't that great
Sometimes it seems just plain dumb

It turns out it is a lonely place
And not much fun

100 years more or less
Will one day be over

I guess it's just a test
There better be something
Better in store

Because human life
Can be a bore

Is there golf in heaven?
I like that game

Never loved or cared for
By a female friend
What a shame

Alone sitting under a tree
Same dull face
No one can help me

My shoulder will never change
Forever akward
Still the same

My Akward Shoulder (Again)

Somewhere

I would enjoy reading and listening
To other poems

I'm tired of my shoulder
And nobody cares

I'm tired of my shoulder
There is no one to say "there, there"

Each and every day,
It will not go away

I'm tired of my shoulder
And I tried to pray

Looks like it is going
To be akward forever
What more can I say

Life is so lonely
Lonely every day

I hope to meet a female companion

Kind and Caring Women
Matt Oct 2015
I wish women
Would write poems
And write them just for me

I want to hear that they love
My writing
And that they really care

I want them to hold me close
To comfort me
And say, "There, there"

I love the kind and caring women
Of hello poetry
I hope to meet a female companion
One day

If this is meant to be
Matt Oct 2015
There is a beautiful blonde
At the gym
I see every once in a while

Sometimes I want to tell her
She is the most beautiful woman
I have ever seen

Maybe it would make her smile

I have an akward shoulder
So she won't ever notice me

But that's okay

Maybe I will meet
A female companion one day

Hi Again Gollum
Matt Oct 2015
Hello again Gollum
Sitting over there

Now I know sometimes
Life seems sad and stupid
And it feels like no one really cares

But everyone has their part to play
Remember what Gandalf said

Let's cook this fresh salmon
And enjoy it with some of
Bilbo's freshly baked bread

Another Night Alone
Matt Oct 2015
Another night alone
With my podcasts

My Ipad

I guess I will go to
The gym again

No female friends

Jesus seems unconcerned
About my shoulder

We are tired of waiting
Waiting for you

This planet isn't all that great

It could always be worse
I tell myself

Emptiness Of Existence
Matt Oct 2015
Striving toward this
And igniting your workout
And reaching the next level
And aiming for the stars

And on and on and on....

It's the same matrix program
The same dull earth

The same emptiness of existence
Matt Oct 2015
Podcasts
And television shows
And blogs

All about ***
*** sells

And it's just some physical urge
You have it
And it's over and done

Who cares

I just want a female companion

Maybe one day

*** is overrated
