All in a chord
A well deserved award
At times a lonely life
With its strife
Captured in song
Made us feel as though we belong
A life of good
Where we stood
Observing truth and wonder
Of how you did not squander
It’s rhyming with rhythm
Life’s body algorithm
Of finding purpose where we stand
In this not so distant human land
All in a chord
As our heart strings poured
A connection we must not dismiss
As our souls distantly kissed
All in a chord
As remembered on vinyl record

A Town
Short journey
To blue bird oasis
Sky and earth kiss
Whiskey distilled
Tasty brewed concoctions
Groovin' on a flip side
Village life resides
Divine estates
Pillars of beauty
Garden stroll
Delicate flowers seen
Fragrant herbs of green
Historic hall
Blue light
Glowing every night
Sunsets glimmer on water ways
They walk a trail
Near a bridge of history
And watch a step on a track
Paddle the moonlight
They come back
Tranquility or venture
Life’s thirst quencher
History in a town
Signs observed
To be found
All part of
Dynamic and preserved

Endearing Old world
Her heart shattered into tiny pieces
Felt as though she had nothing to say
only slight whispers
She found herself looking for solace
wondered why the owner of her heart won’t make peace
And reflected about pain you might feel
Does it feel like hers
Even though you cast a shadow of loveliness, beauty and mystery
Inside you
She touches your soft branches
Tears look up to you
Begging for your comfort
Your vibrations to heal her heart
Her soul connected to another
who walks along ur dirt crust
It cannot relay with all the fuss
Asking you to completely discuss
For it is you that she only trusts

She’s talkin to cows again
Cattle candied side
Licorice fence
A mother hen’s
Cherry eggs
Chocolate fudge smears
On her legs
Slide over grape ice pond
Atop frosted clover
Sugared world beyond
Three soft cows before her
Describe the candied world
One says, “I produce chocolate milk just for me
A little bit of strawberry for she
And vanilla for all three”
Smooth Cocoa will flow
Sweetness will fill your pores
A crystal rain pours
Sugared quartz upon
Caramel whirlpools
Nature’s homemade molecules
Blueberry skies drip
Fields of lollipop
Glimmer rainbow sunshine
Sweetest Harvest
Candy wrappers fall
Wind blows them
Over by candy-wax waterfall
Marshmallow hikes
With chocolate pretzel poles
Strands of sugary pink glass fall From Cotton candy clouds
A new farmer’s way to plow
He says, “young lady
Do you vow
Cherish this nutritional place
And make it your Delectable space?”
“I do” she proclaims ~
“To make it mine
I have no shame
Only a request
Of cinnamon I suggest
A form of healing zest
Sprinkled on this candied land
Where you are I so happily stand
A powerful purpose
You will see
Your nose will thank you
I suppose
A Favorite of every herbivore
From a former land I will go no more
An offer of sticky bun
To sweeten the score
From here to the slushie seafloor
Of a confection land adored”

Characters of folly
With their agony and jolly
One who makes water
In the gutter
As bystanders shudder
One who wears a cape
Is he planning his escape
While the gentleman with the black beret
Morning walk to his frothy latte
People with sign in hand
What’s the message
Where they stand
Souls everywhere
Just the same
A powerful friendship
Could be acclaimed
Generous one
Did you find
One that lets you put your cares behind
One that talks to trees
Even in the breeze
That brings those pines to their knees
One who taunts honest and kind
While he croons those left behind
Those who seek out the good
Kindred spirits misunderstood
One who sees the light at the junction
With his guitar that’s multifunction
One who wrote look for the sunny side
Knowing the silver lining as she cried
Characters of folly
Will leave you chanting my golly

Cowgirl boots cost her
just little pay
She knows to play it safe
Keepin them cowboys away
Wants soft black fur
To keep her warm at night...
they say
She murmurs by candlelight ...
Country bear soothing...
them Cowboys cause me fright
She doesn’t want a man
She’s lookin for a country bear
That’s her true fan
Cowboys want to make her purr
But a country bear is gona stretch his paws and groan
I finally found her
Big bear wont mind what she does with that hair
Cause he’s her country bear
She’s his woman
He’s her furry scare
Try not to stare
When they’re hittin the town fair
Kissin at the top of that ferris wheel
Ladies want to know
What’s that she feel
Township whispers..
there she goes
Smoochin that big bear
Maybe it ain’t no big deal
This is too surreal
Watching this
They eatin cotton candy
in complete bliss
Later in fright
Before the early light
All the ladies pray
Keep them cowboys at bay
Send me a country bear like Miss Fray
And we might promise to obey
Her secret
They want to know
She said forget it
Go to your rodeo
Bears ain’t something I’m about to share
That country woman
That country bear
It’s the perfect love affair

Love From Afar
Under same stars
Fall in love they might
Their families resent with fight
Conflict in distant land
Where they stand
A rich woman
Poor man
Dreams tied to hearts
Led them to part
A modest church
In historic square
Where they eloped
To become forever paired
Homes take to fertile hillside
Built with heritage pride
They start a new name
A family they became
Over large pond
A new world bond
Where life begins
A story of grins
Pasta tins
And century old hairpins
Upon new ground
In a northern town
House they found
Happy voices inside
Fill the silenced sound
Life no longer at stake
When the warm bread begins to bake
Piping hot saucepot
Decendents never forgot
Even now
As is
Forever a parking lot.

Dancing earth
Like the sunflower that chases the sun
With her earthly run
Like the night-flower that blooms by a brilliant moon
As those leaves reveal their color off Fall
When they do not hide who they are at all
A dancing Earth
With its bountiful worth
A message they send
An earthly proclamation
Of all existent adoration
A soul is on the mend
When it dances with them

Her Diamond Mind
Rests in Pure Carbon Mine
Shining Fluorescence
Never left her with obsolescence
Light refraction
Quite the distraction
Ice rink on her finger
A monetary stinger
Gem best friend
How much did he spend?
Frozen Pond reflection
of the hardest affection
Ice rock speaks to only her
Don't be a gem amateur
Clear crystal quartz won't do Sir
with its dim blurr
Follow the four C's
Scintillation gleams
Cut determines its prism
At first sight brings hypnotism
Color - a rainbow brilliance
Smiles with each glance
More clarity for radiance
All eyes may be romanced
Be prepared for a trance
Carat weight
Might be the bait
Year after year
Continual glimmer
With every light flicker

I heard your crickets chirp on summer nights.
I heard you roar in the bitter winter
In the spring i heard your birds celebrate your greenery
And in between
I saw your golden light set
Every autumn night
Oh how i loved you so
How i loved you so
And when I became too old to take care of you
I said I must let you go
I must let you go
But as the tide turned
And Changes came around you
I still came to see a gentle fawn’s shoe
In the stillness of the bitter cold
Your warmth was still there
Like arms through the air
That held me tight
And told me to still care
Remnants of your hayfield
Grown from pure seed
Oh how i loved you so
I loved you so
My evergreen
My forever nature queen
Marigolds Fever Oct 2018
Feathered friends
Fly Together again
Follow the moon
They soar high
They dip low
Through the air
Without care
Into bright cratered spotlight
Heavens brilliance
At midnight
Soft lives touch the other
Pass by
Side by side
Hanging on for the ride
Know the way
By the reflective bay
Through the loop of tallest pines
Not one dares to whine
Gratitude among them
Hearts know
The blue marbled gem
Feathered friends glow
Fly by
The humans that cry
Teaching love
A feathered show

Glitter Wish
Wind blows frosty air
A winter day’s fair
Drafty windows
Speak of breezes
Wishes beg please
Spirit stood beside
To be a guide
Eternal wish
Her majesty hissed
Air sent a silent cry
Old building mumbled
With relic pride
Felt far and wide
Highest aspire
Whispered from spring meadow
Through waves of orange delight
In a valley so low
Dandelion seed
Brought to snow
Gently by the window
Wish glittered
Sunlight flickered
Opened doorway
Placed to stay
Sparkled truth
Held for years
Glitter wish
Came without fears
Or escaping tears
Elegant passion
A seed returns back
In formal fashion
A crafted wish
On a day it was softly kissed

Slowed pace
Precious green space
Leave to return

Angels through pine
With each hole design
Happy voices
High five rejoices

Mystical chanting forest
Young branch rest

Frozen crystals

Tree roots band
Hiding from breezy land
Criss cross as they talk
Underneath sleeping stalks
Spellbind
In seasons time
Smells divine
Of needled pine
First snow fall
Through wind and fright
Bend its limb at night
Glassy water trail
Reflect airborne quail
Doe track grooves
Her muddy cold hooves
Escaping slaughter
Protecting the precious

Becky turns  on her  radio
It’s 4’oclock you see
Says she’s got a date with just me
Her Keds dazzled in red
With thoughts of Psychedelic Furs in her head
Thomas headin home
On the floor of ole truck lies his 80s comb
Hasn’t seen old school in years
The thought brings him to tears
Michael’s on a break
Wants to take time by the lake
Thinkin about Sarah
And that iconic leg warmer era
When she hadn’t worn waterproof mascara
Sarah walkin thru the old store
Hears em say, vintage is a good score
Records musty smell
Makes her feel swell
Polaroid on a shelf
Drifts back to a time of her younger self
Instant prints
Memory hints
Friends together
In spring weather
High school dance
Parachute pants
Puffy sleeve print
Tubular and mint
Neon color
Teenage pustalar
This much is true
With a Converse shoe
Glares, stares and dares
Waves in their hair
Synth-pop
They bop
First crush
They blush
Friendship pins
Shy grins
Floppy disks
The unsaved risks
Laughs enter
In present time
Fallen purse
Fate or curse
Hand holds out a dime
Blank look
Like a old good book
Mumble jumble
Who do you see
lookin back at me
In a flash
It all goes past
Familiar face
Of time & place
If you leave
No one would believe
Together again
It was then
When they remembered when

In the warm rain
Puddles form
Near October’s Yellow mums
Of sturdy stalks
Where soft petals interlock
A temperate cool
On each molecule
In the warm rain
That drips on a face
Of pellets from above
Watering angel about the place
Filled with the grace
Of a heavenly love
In the warm rain
A heart filled with wonder sustains
Can grow and blossom
In nature of what is beautifully awesome
With its strength tied to sturdy soil
To colors that will not spoil
In the warm rain
Where love takes to divine terrain

There once was a woman who lived in a barn.  Her walls were painted picture blue.  When she crawled upon the floor, she thought my goodness I've never done this before.  She ran out to the farm to see what was the matter and yelled what am I going to do with all this cattle.  No one to help her.  She felt all alone. she thought to herself, I better adjust my tone and she began to whistle and hum a note or two. Them off in the distant land, she saw the shadow of tan.  The shadow yelled have no fear I am your Italian man!  She ran back in the barn and tied the hinges tight and scurried around in fright.  She spoke to the picture on the wall.  She said Grandma, I did ask for this at all.  She began to cook and make the worst lasanga bake.  Even the ricotta cheese was fake.  She said surely this will send him away.  When her pan of fraud was piping hot, she invited him to smell the ***. He grinned a big grim that even his mustache looked as though it would win.  mmm mmm mmm he exclaimed as he touched the tin.  She rolled her eyes and thought this man hadn't known what I bought.  She politely said sit down and enjoy, for a good meal is needed for a big boy.  She stepped in the kitchen and snickered as he took a bite and thought if this doesn't **** him I might.  She heard a scream and ran back to the table.  The man was gasping as he read the ricotta label.  She said what is it? what is it?  Is there something wrong with my gable?  He laughed so hard he could hardly breathe.  He said this is the ricotta my mother ate when I was conceived!

Lightning bug Lane
Covered brushed terrain
Blinking lights dance in Grassy knoll
And Dazzle as one gently strolls
Just after twilight
In calm wind
Little specs of light begin
Narrow path filled with soft wings
Human hearts sing
Of bioluminescence flight
That Brings a feeling of utter delight
Grab the hand within reach
A dark perspective for each
Wander to path end
Turn around
And come back again
Flashing light patterns
Seeking mates
By the creek bed
They await

Little ukulele
Played daily
In the sun
Grassy regale
All for fun
Chipmunks, squirrels, birds
Know how it's done
Rabbits belong
To the nature sing song
Animals dance
To the melody happenstance
Imagine with the mind
Birds struttin just fine
Like they've had too much wine
If she creates
They will not hestitate
Music vibe
Can intoxicate
Percussion beat
Sound treat
For tiny happy feet
That live across the street
Uke bambino
Prancing merino
String plucks
Chickens cluck
Mini wooden instrument
Becomes a friend
To them
When she's walkin with that little ukulele
Ever so gaily

There’s no if or almost in tennis or with love
No half feeling it.
No hitting half in.
Your mind cant be there one moment
And not be there the next
Love is everything & nothing at all.
You can be too bitter
Not to hit a winner
Love & tennis will play you just the same
With It’s tough game.
You must keep your eye on the ball
Trying not to hit the intentional pitfalls
If not played right on the line
Will knock you out every time
When you stretch to make that shot just right
Of continuing to believe its worth the fight
Logic & emotion intertwined
Remember love & tennis are just games of the mind

Either too young or too old to call your own

Experience has made it hard for you to roam

I wana know a little bit about loyalty and love

Loyalty and love for you and me

Not going to fix the heart to see it tear apart

While you keep lookin up

When will you see

It's half full your cup

Home is where the heart is

Don't wish for a lighter load

Wish for broader shoulders

To bring you home, once again

I wana know a little bit about loyalty and love

Loyalty and love for you and me

It’s not that hard

If you look directly in the sun

You might get blinded

By its light

But that intense heat

Is what makes us feel complete

I know it’s possible to dream

Isn’t that what makes us a human being

I wana know a little bit about loyalty and love

Loyalty and love for you and me

Don’t write it off like you’re scared

You know it’s the only path home

They say life is better when you’re paired

So if you agree

Would you take my hand

And tell me you’ll forever be my man

I wana know a little bit about loyalty and love

Loyalty and love for you and me

Let’s set each other’s hearts free

Let them grow to what they should be

A little bit of loyalty and love

For you and me

Marigold’s fever
Heavy heart griever
Saunters in the warm breeze
With an airy sundress tease
Soft and sturdy grassy patches
Where she matches
Rows of orange and yellow stashes
Named for the steady flower
With its strong stem tower
That humid air
Quite the flare for the flowers and her hair
She sits with her mind debates
Love and flowers she waits
Even on cloudy days
Without a phase
She sits there everyday
Pondering thoughts of flower devotion from mankind
Perhaps she has given up hope
There she is not known to be a good find
Her quiet place of solitude
Has left her not to be pursued
A day has come that’s too steamy
Left her not to be able to be dreamy
Quite the wind
Has taken her pink hat for a spin
She runs to retrieve as it flips
There she falls and trips
She hears a voice
That sounds like her choice
She looks up
Sees a man holding a pup
What has caught her eye that’s much too bright
She holds her hand up high in fright
There his hand meets hers
with marigolds held in golden light

Lovely sky with your palettes of blue
Wispy clouds go by
And your dark night appears
Threat of rain
Earthly grasses excitement refrain
Not to become filled with delight
For the black clouds have turned their bellow
This rain is not for you young blades
Tonight you must hope for cool to create your misty dew
And in the morning when the yellow warmth begins
You can hope once again
The next misty cloud is just for you.

Gentle satellite ray
On gratitude day
~
Shine on moon
Slice of lemon meringue pie
Exits the sky
White candlelight lead the way
~
Shine on moon
Beam on green Earth today

Night at the garbage dump
Sparkle starlight night
Leaves room for little delight
Speedy legs
Out for a spin
Adventure begs
Drags the wind
Follow a leader
To a place one longs to linger
A flight that’s eerie
What’s in store
Darkness galore
Only four hilltops more
Up up up
Around the bend
Climb to come back again
Clouds through moonlight
Old concrete pebbled on the side
Glow with strange historic pride
Field grasses slow to bend
Smells you would not befriend
Below dark field
A collective treasure of human endeavor
One would not dream whatsoever
Crunchy soil
A perfect spot for the voile
Sit below the grassy line
Take in the oddity with too much wine
Head on a swivel
Watch your back
Never know what’s lurking to attack
Time is up
Must not leave the cup
Only once a garbage dump
Watch the stump
Fly down in pitch dark
Not mistaken for the park
Former mans duty
Listen closely
To the beckoning tutti
It sings in rare night beauty

Opal’s Moon
In warm June
White reflection
Silica collection
Daisy fields sway
Thousand years of white
Nature ignites
Precious find
One of a kind
Someone’s loss
Washed to the shore
By sea moss
Colors shimmer bright
Silver like moonlight
Nothing lacking
B-O-L-D and fUn
Start your summer packing
Find your opal in the sand
On a ring band
Where you belong
Sing a seasonal song
At twilight
It’s pure highlight
Gray marble in the sky
Floatin’ stone flashlight
Look up and wonder why
See its gaze back at you
What is precious
Is not a lie

Paint walk
Spot leafstalk
In farm below
With sky above
A rich magenta
Soft as yellow polenta
Fowl love
The shifting wind
Light cloud formation
Ending vapor circulation
Slow breeze
Evening trees
All see
Changing earth
Naturalistic worth
Scenic eye candy
Life’s sugared brandy
Lavish colors
Nature lovers
Make mother nature blush
With her universal paint brush
Marigolds Fever Aug 2018
Parallel universe
A universe redone
What is real
One in your mind is fun
One in your heart is what you feel
Multi layered love
Layers of human reality
When looking from above
Like the mourning dove
Who’s actuality
Is a lonely spotted seed
Only to detect
The things that work out perfectly
Marigolds Fever Oct 2018
Pieces of life
Scattered about
Silent treasures
Without meaning
Salutation greetings
Ghostly images of youth
Places of truth
Slices of life’s pie
Only tasteful to the eye
Affairs of life
Time & places known by one
Maybe by two
Speckles of a memoir dust
A foggy grey
Heart portraits stay
Of memory served
Left to farewells
To be thrown in mind’s well
A blackhole abiss
Never to be missed
Or treasured again
Some pushed together like clay
Others drift away
Hearts full of broken memories on display

Rain’s light reflection
In each puddle perfection
Drops of cloud blood
Dripping minor floods
It rained that night
She thought he might
He walked away
Fog got in the way
No longer see his face
She knew he was someone good in the human race
Dark roads shimmer wet light
She did not put up a fight
Letting him go
In hopes a relationship might take flight
Rain buckets filled
No more drought
The air remained slightly chilled
A confidence spring water was about
Land soaked
Bringing life to rivers and creek beds
What was in their heads
Thoughts of rain that springs new life
In one another with no more tender strife

Rock the beat
Where they meet
Dark clouds hang
Then roll by
Silver bubbled bottoms
From the sky
Pattern change
Cool outside
A seasonal bore
Different heat through double door
Lasers just above the riser
Colored lights bounce off the floor
Music lovers leave no disguise
And feel as though they can fly
Rock the beat
Those dancing feet
Time goes by
Smiles for awhile
Empty bottle pile
Leave em feeling high
Human stars flare
Without any care
They take their bow
Light below horizon now
Gaseous anomalies
Twinkle bright
No chilly fright
Dancers take their seat
It’s a season to rock with heat
And never be off beat

Rose’ love
Red hot
It was not
White cold
They felt quite bold
Sip Chilled and never spilled
Rosette blush upon the cheeks
Had taken more than weeks
Surprised by silly charm
Finally in an arm
It did not matter what the affair
Slow to care
Swoosh of mouth
It Never went south
Puckered face
Settled about the place
With an invisible crown
A dance in the middle shade
Rose’ love finally conveyed
Waiting to see
Will he take a knee
Clink of the glasses
Time passes
Clear cool pink
Not too sour
Or too sweet
Rose’ love
Sent from above
A slow to passion treat
Was never quite beaten by other tasty heat

Ruby red love
She didn’t give it a shove
With delicate diamonds just above
A love to find
Not the gaudy kind
Purposely shaped heart
In search of where to start
Placed upon a tiny finger
To make one stop and linger
A Ruby shine
With Red glare so clear
So much so
That one could begin to fear
What would happen if they
Tried to disappear
Runaway they might
With just cause
Of too much fright
Would bring her to shed a tear
That Red ruby so clear
Reminds her of the cheer
And the time he spilled his beer
Red ruby dazzling bright
If only see the light
Whats its symbolize
Character or compromise
She was utterly surprised
That tiny clear red ruby
A reminder
Love is never like that movie
Ruby red love
Unmistakable beauty
Recalling a late summer sunset
A clear preset
With its curves
Upon that finger
Can be a deep stinger
If not preserved
Prompts the feeling
Sensationally deserved

R u takin time
to see some beauty
in that flower
hug ur friend hello
R  u takin time
Just to care for one another
Did u remember ur mother
or even a lover
Did u take time today
just to be there
Time Rushin by
Its Rushin by
Do u remember
to be so little
U had all the world’s time
How does it feel now
to not care to hear
an I’m doing fine.
Im doing fine
Ur Rushin by
Ur takin time
Doing all that digital mayhem
Do remember a time
before all this
To be in complete bliss
Don’t forget ur time is
rushin by
Its rushin by
It’s Takin time
R u takin time to be there
Went by the old high school
Stopped in
to see those old teachers
One was cryin
One was still teachin
Tears flowing from the eyes
Words ringin true
Tellin me Things are not the same
There’s dust on these desks
Said how are you doin ***
What you do
I said I’m real successful now
I got all the best
He said yeah thats great
But are you taking time
Taking time....
...to be there
Takin time...
to Be where u need.
Author note: this poem was written to be a song. However, because it has been liked it has remained public.

I can bring you flowers in the Spring time
I can wrap you in the Winter
If you hold my hand in Autumn
we can fall together in the leaves
In the Summer you can navigate me
like a boat upon the sea

I’m just your seasonal me
I’m just your seasonal me

We can change together
In all the colors that may be
To a cool powdery dust
that leaves us blowin free
At humid dusk
We can smell the purple fragrant musk

I’m just your seasonal me
I’m just your seasonal me

In the starry dark sky
we can connect the dots and wonder why
As the sun floats her golden light
We can savor the birds that take their flight

I’m just your seasonal me
I’m just your seasonal me

September’s Game
Hardball acclaimed
In the Outfield
Ambitions revealed
A pop fly
Up to the sky
Little fists pound the glove
In hopes they’ll catch one from above
Pitch a fastball
Batters stand tall
Slide to first
Some Wet Dirt
Is dispersed
Cleats dig
Arms S t r e t c h e d
51 Fetched
Catcher configs
Ghostly image of a bambino zigs
Swing the diamond
Beating hearts respond
Mysterious wonder
September’s game grows fonder

Silvery light
Channel a white night
Clear and bright
Crystal ornamental maples
Cranberry leaves
Fall from eaves
Seasonal staples
Pile in gardens
Ground hardens
Below pumpkins
Left in their patch
Tree lights attach
On newly thin branch
Sculptures of ice begin
Beneath each frozen chin
Starry eyes
Blink in dark skies
Hot chocolate creams
Fires pop
Near frozen streams
Ice sculptures silvery light show
By steeple glow
Bells chime
Soft trills
Whiffs of cinnamon bread
In each head
Radiant illuminations
Glare with each stare
Pathway gleams
In silvery light dreams

Snow cone twists
Far ivory countryside
Season’s change exists
A stern mother nature’s pride
Foothills that resemble cream pies
Coating pointy flakes a mile high
Birds take cover
To find a feathery mother
Try to resist nature’s feverish fight
And hide from the silvery night
Moon beams its pearly opals
Thru rainbow colored window chapels
In the nest
Little birds try their best
Huddled up
Till daybreak
They might delight
In the white sparkle sunlight
Snowy course
A bitter adventure for the strong farmhorse
Powder puff
It kicks it up like dust
Spring a strong sense
With snow that is no longer dense
Temperatures waver
An ice storm disfavor
Crystal drops
From frozen tree tops
The chirps begin
With a little more earthly spin
Melting snow
Begins to flow
Moving water a strong force
Becomes quite the
Snowy watercourse

Spirit walk
What’s Lurking behind
Glowing lanterns
Beautiful site
Rustic buildings beam firelight
Don’t be fooled
A sign of fright
Creeky doors
Ghouls shuffle on wood floors
Smell of must begins the play
No turning away
Bystanders Listen carefully
Chanting bully
A spell at midnight
Pink flesh turns white
Fires crackle
Caldrons bubble
Historic walk
Not for those who balk
Hear a screeching squawk
Turn back
Creeper on the attack
Spirit moonwalk
Grab a tomahawk
Orange glow
Leads to a frightful show

Believable doubt
Time connect
Place reflect
Once old
New and bold
Young vision of you
Different view
Rural space
Human pace
Unprecedented in adolescence
Yearned in presence
Unpredictability
Longed humility
Start old and grow young
Time traveled
Souls reveled
In soft starlight
With new moons less bright
