There is a little cloud that follows me.
It floats around as I walk the town.
It never let's me be.

This cloud watches and waits.
Watching from a steep hill.
Waiting to open it's floodgates.
Maybe when I'm alone or in a room full of people.

When it rains what can I do?
It always catches up.
I sit drenched or run for a few.
It's hard to even get up.

A person once came.
They shined, oh how they shined.
They took away the rain.
But the brightness left me blind.

They kept the darkness at bay.
They gave me a path.
But then they pushed me away.
They left me in the aftermath.

Now I'm back here wasting away.
Lost and alone.
Not knowing what to do or knowing the way.
Feeling as if I'm in the twilight zone.

The cloud is above me now.
A torrent of water on my head.
What can I do but bow?
The weight keeping me in bed.

This little cloud that follows me around.
It never let's me be.
I stared at it...
And realized it's staring back at me.
