Hayleigh Dec 2014
I had no idea what I was looking for, I just knew that you were it.
Hayleigh Dec 2014
The dress clung to me
As I stood
Lost
Staring, staring back at the stranger
The mirror offered a glimpse
Of me,
The messed up stranger smiled
With heartbreak resting on each drugged eyelid
Pain
Coagulating in each vein
Every vein.
The stranger tore her dress
My arm became cold, so cold.
My heart became frozen,
Broken,
This time beyond repair.
Hayleigh Dec 2014
It goes forward
But never back
Try as you may
You won't make up for
that of it, you lack.
When it’s broken
It’s right twice a day
You cannot hold into it
You cannot take back what you say.
It can seem really quite long
And really quite short
You can be too busy to think
Or have enough
To be deep in thought.

You can wish and wish
But only if recorded
can you momentarily rewind
You can search the entire planet
But never enough of it
Shall you find.

Time makes memories
of everything.

Faith has a pulse that never stops beating
Hayleigh Nov 2014
The next time someone asks you if you're okay
And you routinely go to say
I'm fine,
Hold your tongue,
You're doing no wrong,
By simply being human.
Hayleigh Nov 2014
Beneath the surface
I start to boil,
My inner turmoil,
The tangled weeds,
Overgrown in the soil
Of my mind
Begin to unravel and unwind
And once again I am at risk
Of losing myself
Amongst poison ivy,
Planted by the lies
you told me.
Hayleigh Nov 2014
Your lies coagulated in my veins.
