Daydreams
I have a fantasy life
With you in it
You are always there
Knowing what I’m feeling
Paying attention
I fascinate you
We laugh more than we talk
Bring out the best in each other
You are the best thing that never happened to me

Invisible fire
Can you feel what you haven’t discovered?
Do you hear the call of this unknown lover?
Pulling your consciousness to me
With sheer will
And the intense strength of my desire
Can you perceive the warmth of this
Invisible fire?
Can you feel my wishes taking you higher?
I’m burning for your cool
Let me be your fool
I’ll never give up on you
And there’s nothing I wouldn’t do
I wonder if you feel that, too

Vibe difference
Reading the atmosphere
Some fools just don’t care
Or they want to antagonize
Often claiming some noble mission
Really a rant in disguise
Kinda like this vibe
Rant in disguise
More than things are different
They are alike
Birth in the unmovable
Vibe of personal truth
In search of somewhere to root
Before transformation
Or disappearance
Personal truth feels vibes
Growing
The ability to connect
Vibes combine
Some volatile-lee
Others mellow smooth
Out there
Everywhere
Vibes
Created out of thin air
Everyone is shining
Coming out with greats and
Memorables
Days like today
No rhyme or reason
To days when poetry flows
So easily
One more oxymoron
We don’t know we see

Sharp pain.
How dare life go on
So brazenly
Time passing for others
So weightlessly
Smiles and laughter
And pure joy
I see
So many people
Living so weightlessly
I bear this load
My whole family
It’s more of a burden
Than I can carry
And then I remember
That I am me
And there is no load
I cannot carry
Alongside my family

Poetry Fonze
I think it’s cool you got groupies
And even cooler that you would never refer to them as groupies
But there are groupies
Chilling around you
Which is cool
You’re like The Fonze of poetry
Gotta be the coolest guy I ever did see
👍

Dear poet
Please
Bring it to me
Lay it out raw
Tumble the soul
And the wash
In verse
Give me the best
And the worst
Tingle my insides
Magically
Using nothing but
Words and invisibility
Connecting through
Airwaves
Timelessly
You are magic
Dear Poet
Please
Bring it to me

Plenty of pennies
If you throw that penny in the wishing well
You will have thrown away a penny
I’ve spent plenty of Pennies on less
How many wishes do come true
Is anybody’s guess

Kissing a fool
What she could have been thinking
I have no clue
Denying a beautiful man like you
Whatever her reasons
They must have been unavoidable
It would take a force of nature
To get me unglued
From a sensitive
Intelligent
Beautiful
Man like you
I cannot help but feel
That you have been kissing a fool

Man eater (Hall and Oats)
She’ll only come out at night
The lean and hungry type
Nothing is new
I’ve seen her here before
Watching and waiting
She’s sitting with you
But her eyes are on the door
So many have paid to see
What you think
You’re getting for free
The woman is wild
A she-cat tamed
By the purr of a jaguar
If you’re in it for love
You ain’t gonna get too far
You are my biggest "fan"
You seem to love my poetry
And since you're so amazing
I like what that says about me

Was it yummy?
You are the type to eat your young
Not all at once
But bit by bit
Torturous biting into
Any part different from you
There’s nothing left of them
By the time that you get through

Thin air
I had a song of judgement in my mind
Not of myself
This time
But of society
And of myself
Too,
Once I reminded myself
Society means
Me too
I had to rescind my judgement
And think a little further on it
And since I thought of all that
I no longer remember
What it was
But it was good enough to get me
To log on

Addicted
It’s not easy to admit
When we’ve gotten too into it
Addiction
Whether it be drugs, a person, or anything
The temptation is too strong
Keep us chasing it all day long
Bend our lives around it’s demands
Become a mere shell of a man
Eat us from the inside out
Crave it, love it, chase it about
Obsession drives our every move
Skipping record
Defective grooves
Steals sleep, money, ruins mood
All the damage it can do
Life will make you play the fool
And the addict doesn’t even have to be you

Boring as it may be
Considering the mood

When writing boring poetry
Maybe it’s useless
Boring poetry
But not as useless
As writing nothing
Can be

Single spark
Sometimes I pretend you're speaking to me
Even though
I know
That can't possibly be
I imagine you're feeling my absence
And yearning for my soul
In my mind
We are twin flames

Lonely lighthouse
Does the lighthouse ever get resentful
Stuck there out on that rock
Watching all those lucky ships
Explore?
Does the lighthouse ever wish to sleep at night?
Does it look at other houses
From it’s isolated point
And see neighborhoods
Close houses, socializing
Christmas trees
House communities
Is this something the lonely lighthouse sees?

Worthwhile either way
Sometimes there is only the long way
It’s a magic road that sets me back,
The second I take a shortcut
And the road is already impossibly long
It is worth going
If you are there
And if you are not
There have been sunny days
And enthralling breezes
It was worth going
Either way

Acid rain
Sometimes the **** hitting the fan
Comes in disguise as a bath in champagne
Long awaited acid rain
That immediately quenches your thirst
Blessings and cursings come in disguise
To tired, hopeful, thirsty eyes

This is the time of the
Cleansing
Where audacity
And hypocrisy
Comes to the light
Though many will stay in the dark
Insisting that they are right
They will be the *****
Among the clean
Convinced their filth
Is pure and pristine

Past it, mostly
Once upon a time
I waited for you
Anticipation
For when you’d come through
Sometimes often
Often sometimes
No way to predict
Waiting for unreliability
Gets old really quickly
Now, I hardly notice
But sometimes I still check to see
I am past it,
Mostly

He's drinking too much
At 80 years old
Trying to dull whatever it is
That has settled into his soul
He wants to forget
All of the dirt
He has pushed under his rugs
And all of his drinking
Got me to thinking
That old man should get better drugs

Magic wind
Windy days
Mother Nature blowing the dust away
If you learn to let go
Of unwanted parts in your soul
You can blow it away on the wind
It is a “witchy” thing to do
And maybe it is magic,
But wind is magic, too
It is possible to blow away
Dusty parts of yourself
Psyche
Being
That need to go
If you know
There is such a thing
As Magic wind

Imaginary cages
I want to be his medicine
I want to heal his soul
I want to bring him peace
Like he has never known
I want to bring him chaos, too
I want to bring it all
Give him pain and comfort
With my wild call
He sits on perches
Preening, playing,
Perfect to view
He wants for nothing
So what’s a hen to do?
He does not sing or caw or call
He thinks he’s already said it all
And frankly he could stay silent
And still be worth the time
Quiet bird
He may be free
When his cage is only imaginary

He bangs
To the beat
Of the non conformed
Unabashedly
Off kilter
Wobbly
Left or right
He turns the middle of a sunny day
Deep into a night
I want to share some of his journey
Company along the way
In and out
We come about
Then out
And around again

I am not impatient
He is not
Unaware
I am not
Impatient
I hoped for immediacy
But didn’t rely on silly dreams
For it to turn out to be
Working at it
Demonstrating myself worthy
If he would have seen
And felt the need
Too quickly
It wouldn’t have been right
It should take the effort
Of many nights
To make something so right
He is not unaware of me
But he’s unaware of who I really be
He’d be a fool to believe what he sees
Quickly
Through invisible words
And deeds
I am not impatient
