Farewell, farewell  my father,
Farewell, farewell my only joy
That none canst ever destroy,
Farewell, farewell my father.

Farewell, farewell my father,
Spread thy wings like a dove
Past effulgent yonder stars above,
Farewell, farewell my father.

Farewell, farewell my father,
Fly past cruel hands of time,
Fly unto a rose-scented clime,
Farewell, farewell my father.

Farewell, farewell my father,
Fly through the endless night,
Fly unto a realm of eternal light,
Farewell, farewell my father.

Farewell, farewell my father,
Fly unto a realm of fairest gold
Where beauty you’ll only behold,
Farewell, farewell my father

Farewell, farewell my father,
Fly unto where gentle winds blow,
Fly unto where stars eternally glow,
Farewell, farewell my father.

Farewell, farewell my father,
Fly unto lands of silvery fountains,
Lands of golden-capped mountains,
Farewell, farewell my father.

Farewell, farewell my father,
Fly unto lands of opalescent skies
That forever dost shine in paradise,
Farewell, farewell my father.

But though art thou gone my father,
Wherever I’ll wander like a river,
Thy lurve as dawn dew fresh forever,
Farewell, farewell oh my father.

**Kikodinho Edward Alexandros. Jumeirah, Dubai. 10th.11.2017
For those of ye who know little about me, I'll commence by saying: My name is Edward, and I come from the pearl of Africa, Uganda. I was born to a poor family but despite the fact we were destitute, there's a HERO who worked slave-like to paint a smile upon everyone's physiognomy...A Hero I'm proud to call, MY FATHER. We dwelt upon a small piece of land in a single room by the heart of a slum zone, and that was the place we called home. Wild was the environment and to pile on the agony, as a peculiar dark fate bore it, without my family's consent the piece of land where we dwelt was sold by some mean family members hence we had to look for a new home and the end result was, my family had to split....The two young sisters of mine went with my beloved Mom whilst I with my Dad. I stayed with Him in the far countryside for a while but as time drifted by and by, I no longer wished to put up in the countryside hence I set off to live by my own back in town. This thus completely limited me from seeing Him quite often..... The city bore all wild behaviors ye could ever imagine of under the book of life, but thank goodness I went to church....a church where serendipitously I met a British lady of God, a lady who helped me in a myriad ways I canst never explain by just mere words. At this point, I visited my father once in a blue moon, for I craved blooming to success as to surprise Him the person I'd blossomed to. By serendipity's sake, after much toiling I'd saved some money on me that could help me travel to Dubai as to seek a fortune. 'Tis at the point of departing when I visited him to say my goodbyes.... To my dismay, He was critically Ill and on asking Him why he hadn't informed me earlier, his response was that He wished not drowning me in a stream of worrying. My flight was nigh that he had to bid me adieu.....Sick as He was, He dragged out His motor cycle he hadn't rode for a while to offer me a ride.... and on asking him whether I could ride, his response was NAY but He....He was such a flint-hearted man to change his word thus through the ragged countryside he valiantly rode with his quaking hands till when we came by where I had to board a vehicle back to town. He then gave me a warm handshake and said unto me in a velvety voice..."GOODBYE SON, BE WELL" In a jiffy, the vehicle commenced moving, but through the mirror I beheld him indignantly staring at the vehicle till when i could see Him no more. That was the very last time I caught a glance at Him.....Now that I was abroad, whenever I'd call Him, he'd always tell me that He was doing quite better and recuperating. But, as a dark fate bore it, on 10th February 2017, the most heart-rending news poured into mine ear, HE HAD PASSED AWAY. Swifter than a plummeting eagle at her prey, I approached the company I'm working for seeking an emergency leave but 'twas to no avail since i couldn't cater for the air tickets fact that his Hospital bills had long drained me.
I tried as much as i could but in vain hence i couldn't burry him.

so, today is 10th again... the same day like this not so many moons ago when  he passed away, and I've decided to whisper Him this poem till we meet again. May the Lord of tender mercy judge his piteous soul with utmost kindness. Amen.

Thank ye for reading, dear friends. Take care of thy selves. God bless ye.
Far over the woods shadowy and old,
Beyond lofty mountains forlorn and cold
Where leaves by no wind stired sway,
There we must seek our enchanted gold.

Though dwarves in dungeons of shadow
Hanged them as dew drops by the bough
And casted spells sharp as the sun's ray,
We must seek our gold ere old we grow.

Through brier, yonder vale, yonder hill,
Yonder beyond many a whispering rill
Where songbirds lament the olden day,
There we must away ere time stands still.

Far over the woods shadowy and old,
Beyond lofty mountains forlorn and cold
Where leaves by no wind stired sway,
There we must seek our enchanted gold.

Through peculiar caverns dim and deep
Where strange lonely things dost creep
Forevermore as waves towards the bay,
There we must boldly ride ere we sleep;

In Nineva, to win our long-stolen gold
Beneath botomless vales forlorn and cold;
Where creatures lugubrious night & day,
Far over the woods shadowy and old.

#Tales Of Nineva
A song sang by Kiko and his men whilst passing through a peculiar wood on the quest for enchanted treasures.

Days back whilst in a bus from Seattle to California, I came by a verdant wood floating upon ever rolling hills in the state of Oregon...and upon feasting about her in her lengthening shadowy flock of emerald green, been compelled to accomplish this poem which I started penning a while back whilst touring Zanziba islands grandly floating far off in the indian ocean by the east African coast, in Tanzania.

Nineva is a magical kingdom in Kiko's legendarium,  a miscellany of tales of mystery and maccabre like you've never heard of.
From flowers so fair picked I the most fair.
Hues of her boughs, a rainbow put to shame;
Her scent, all roses, jasmines draw not near,
Her luster, like shore lamps of heaven the same.
Now that I bore the fairest of all flowers,
Like rays of sunshine parting yonder clouds
So didst I get enriched with bliss showers,
But unto her came many a bird in crowds
With covetous eyes coveting her shine
They were doves, ravens, among so many more.
Though I know not which stole a gem of mine,
Thou bird, flint-hearted thief of my flower,

Hast thou no pity a flower now thine
Upon my soul left her perfume divine?

May his name in perpetuity be praised!
In a shadowy sky of lies—
Be a star whose light of truth never dies.

In a shoreless sea of despair—
Be a wave of hope beyond compare.

In a galaxy of perpetual sorrow—
Be a planet of joy that doth glow.

In a bottomless vale of negativity—
Be a whisperin’ stream of positivity.

In a darkling wood of unfairness—
Be a soaring tree of fairness.

In a desert of desperation—
Be an oasis of inspiration.

In a drove of utter unkindness—
Be a reflection of utter kindness.

Good friend—If serendipitously this poetry ink of poor couplets oozing from a quill of so lowly a bard hath tenderly caressed thy soul, then it’ll be of stupendous honor if thou dost share upon a page of thine so thou mayst bless others.💕💫💕🌙💕⭐️💕🌟💕✨💕⭐️

Choose and in the comment section drop some other words of different topics thou mayst think of, and I’ll try my quill to forge rhyming couplets out of them. Bless thy soul.

How can I forget
Thou art the apple of mine eye
But live to regret
We're but apples and oranges

How can I forget
That night, that day
But live to regret
A smiling lie danced my way

How can I forget
Thou art a lass so braw
But live to regret
There broke a drunken brawl

How can I forget
Such a twisted malady
But live to regret
For it costed my lady

How pleasant to know Mr. Kiko
Whose nose is remarkably big—
Whose soul blazoned with a poetry freckle—
Whose black hair resembles a wig—
He who cometh from Uganda—
He who most of his poetry all to his lass—
Though some say, "such, such propaganda"—
But to Him as pure as green of grass.

How pleasant to know Mr. Kiko
Who sleepeth late in the dead of night
Gazing about ancient star's glow
That ever beam long and bright—
Bright—but not as his lass's limpid eyes
Bestowed never upon seraphim above—
Though some say—"such, such lies
Of a swain drownded in a pool of lurve."

Lines in the dead of night,
hope thou hast enjoyed 'em all.
To the west a good day, to the east a good night
till we meet again morrow.
I could write the loveliest poem ever,
A lonely dove went cooing by and by,
Yonder rill, yonder hill, yonder river,
Whilst it winged into a clear blue sky.
Lovely is the sky in her robes of blue,
Velvety blue I mean, as eyes of thine
Never bestowed upon any seraph,
That upon my soul kindled love divine.
I could croon the loveliest tune ever,
And whisper it upon rivers of time;
That fairly stream by and by forever,
A tune that in thy heart could ever chime,

If only I could glance at thy bright eyes
To once stray upon shores of paradise.

I dared to start a race,
A race to reach out a novelty Hut
That chatoyantly beamed in the distance.
Of gold were the thatches of the Hut,
Her pair of windows an emerald surface,
And of ivory the floor of the Hut,
A Hut that even a Seraph would fancy;
Ecstatic, I gravitated thus to the Hut,
Hastily than rain in a helter skelter dash
To kiss the earth, so dashed I to the Hut.
But, the nearer I drew, infinite the space,
The space betwixt I and my dream Hut.
Somehow along the way I thus lost pace,
Though yonder I kept trudging to the Hut,
Vying with reality for a happenstance
To ever dwell in such an ineffable Hut.
Soon, I realized there could be no chance,
For the nearer I drew, further the Hut.
Beneath tides of despair I regretted thus,
Regretted the moment I dared to start,
Starting such a game trickier than Chase,
A race to reach out thy Heart.**

Whisper a serenade upon streams of time,
Streaming yonder a golden clime,
Wishing it serenade's thee, Heaven's fairest.

I'll rise with the tempest,

Funny how Someone can
Asunder a heart of thine
And thou still dost adore them
With all thy riven smithereens

My love, please come to me,
In my life thou dost linger
A love from my sweet past
That beamed than many a star

My love, long have I endured
A heart sundered by love
Though wherever  I wander
Thy sweet love I still dost crave.

Oh my love, come back to me
So we may pick these riven pieces
That like sea waters scattered be
And I'll smoother thee with kisses

Together we'll never sunder
For my love will be thy love
Beaming so bright forevermore
As thy  love will be my love

Blissfully we'll dwell ever after
Like twinkling stars in galaxies
With our enchanted passion
Effulgently lingering in perpetuity.

A modified version of one of my older poem penned in the wee hours of a dead July of 2015.
In retrospect,
I take a quick glance
A glance at our past
Lovebirds we once were
My wing you were
As your wing I were
To each other's *****
We drew ourselves
So as to fly
Merrily to the skies
Seeking beauteous horizons
Horizons filled with glamour

In retrospect,
As time sailed by and by
I lost my wing
A wing that meant the world
A world to me so blissful
Left in a daze I was
Aghast to my heart's core
Drifting by a violent sea
A sea of retrospections
Driven by tides
Tides of regrets
Past violent storms
Storms of doldrums

On yonder I drift
Drifting to an island
An island marred with despair
Where in a circle of confusion I wander
Wandering in an abyss
An abyss pervaded with loneliness
Wondering if at all
I could ever seek redemption.
While downcast
With relentless tears of anguish
Trickling down my cheeks
In despair I wail.
Drenched in doldrums
I reminisce of the splendor
And the novelty pulchritude
The pulchritude you bear

In retrospect,
Gone are the halcyon days
Days wistfully washed away
Away by the tides of time

In retrospect,
My heart craves thy love
A love that still lingers
In my riven heart
A heart that shall never
Ever ameliorate.

In woods of life a lion there so dwells,
A lion mortal men dost truly know,
All animals and birds of strangest dales,
For whiter than snow robes his heart doth glow.
His love not of here but of heaven's sphere,
For like as stars of yore and now sleeps last,
His cab's prey he must rummage here and there
Yet like as sun of yore and now wakes first:
His cabs in glee, the cynosure of all
Hence would as lief hunt through the darkest moor,
The entire shadowy un-trodden vale
To dress his cabs in joy-robes evermore.

Hark! If this be no lion but rather
An angel proud I am to call mother.

#Been penning this poem since yesteryear
Unto my dear mother and all mothers of that nature out there.

Honestly, I grew up destitute in the ruins of Kampala, Uganda, but there's one hero by the name, Nalugo Florence, she whom I'll keep in the bower of my heart forevermore for turning all my days to hues of gold from her toiling. A hero most gladly I call mother.
At times
The rain relentlessly rains
And might seem never
Never to rain once again
But it does,

At times
The sun incessantly shines
And might seem never
Never to shine once again
But it does,

At times
The moon dims its light
And might seem never
Never to shine once again
But it does,

At times
Stars effulgently shine
And might seem never
Never to shine once again
But they do,

At times
The wind relentlessly whistles
And might seem never
Never to whistle once again
But it does,

At times
Life is circuitous
And might seem never
Never to be straight once again
But it will,

At times
You're at a low ebb
And might seem never
Never to hold a penny once again
But you will,

At times
You're engulfed in doldrums
And might seem never
Never to be solaced once again
But you will,

At times
You're drenched in despair
And hope might seem never
Never to come your way once again
But it will,

At times
You wail
And might seem never
Never to smile once again
But you will,

At times
You're heart broken
And might seem never
Never to love once again
But you will,

At  times
You're lonely
And might seem never
Never to be happy once again
But you will,

At times
You're lover parts from you
And might seem never
Never to be the same once again
But you will,

At times
Your're in a daze
And might seem never
Never to know whats right once again
But you will,

At times
Failure engulfs you
And success might seem never
Never to come your way once again
But it will,

Every thing will
Just on cue.
#Hope
At the end of a hill there is a ***** hence never despair in life.
The best is yet to come your way whilst you keep the faith that everything will at last be alright despite hardships.
Only then you shall have failure vanquished.
"King he was to the realm of Nineva
In great halls that fairly shone forever.
Kaleidoscopic were hues of his blade,
Of burnished gold was it fairly made.
Diamonds, sapphires, pearls, and rubies
In fresh numbers were seen in his vase.
Ninety nine archers guarded the palace,
His horsemen swifter than comets of space,
Over wood, yonder hill, yonder vale, they'd race.

Eternally limpid yet ineffable was his lass's
Diamond-like eyes as dewdrops upon grass.
Winds of hate this beauty beheld and said nay
A beauty reflection as that in my wings must lay.
Roses, lavenders, lilacs, gardenias of the spring,
Daffodils of rolling hills unto her I'll bring.

A star-like diadem I'll press upon her gaily hair
Light buttons of pearl shalt bedight her dress so fair
Eternally mine shalt she be like as waves to sea or
Xylograph upon wood shalt be her soul to my soul.
And 'tis for this reason that all creatures know
Nineva's king since yon day turned cold as snow.
Diamond-like, so hardened his soul that now
Roves in a labyrinth of restless nostalgic winds
Outgribing here and there like wingless birds
Stuck in branches of night or shells neath the sands."

A brief history about "Kikodinho Edward Alexandros" preserved for men of ages to come who shall wish to dig into his past.
Dew gravitates from the wild blue yonder
To kiss her lover, grass—but when sun’s rays
Come, dew indignantly to skies doth soar,
But to her lover doth return always.
And the waves madly rush in ecstasy
To their lover, shores—but when gravity
Calls, waves indignantly ebb to the sea,
But dost return in perpetuity—
Then, a soul of mine so entwined with thine,
To wing to rose veiled banks of paradise;
But along the way thine decamped from mine,
On yonder beyond where the sun doth rise.

"But, if sea waves and dew of skies above
To their lovers return, why not thee, love?"

Even the brightest day
Vades into the ebony veil—night.
Even the straightest way,
At length, a bend doth await.

Though mighty is the sun,
At dusk, into the sky doth sink.
Though pure be the fun,
Canst vade in a single wink.

Look how the sea wave
Races unto the shore with delight,
As though she'll rove, and rove,
But unto the sea returnest with fright.

Even the fastest stream,
At length, vades into the sea.
Though how sweet be the dream
At length, thou dost awake.

Look how drops of rain
Plummet from yonder sky,
But the earth's crust, her drain,
No matter how heavens dost cry.

Though pleasant be the life
As sweet as heaven's nectar,
Though a life be marred with strife,
At length, all could be vice versa.

By eternal law of nature
In books of life, whether good or bad,
Naught lasts forever, even the future
Come morrow—it’s just remembered.

Thanks for stopping by to read poor lines of a lowly bard. A cheery new year unto thee wherever thou dost dwell. God bless ye.
[K  I  K  O  D  I  N  H  O]

"King he was with a novelty vase,
In it effulgent sonnets fairly shone,
Kaleidoscopic ballads and prose,
Opalescent but all unto his lass alone.
Days into nights didst vade, and nights
Into days, and days again to nights,
Never didst the fair queen of beauty
Have a sight upon this vase that though
Opulent, resplendent, remains a mystery."
Like as raindrops plummet from yonder shore,
So hastily dashed him at love's behest,
Swifter than a hunted wild roving Deer,
With impatience like a raging tempest;
And by the most lustrous yet rare plectrum,
Heavenly tunes at his heart strings didst pluck,
That he beamed with colors of the spectrum,
Brighter than golden specks of the zodiac;
For her honeycomb, the taste of nectar
Distilled from all the flowers of heaven;
Hence swooned as the sea over light of star,
For love had casted her novelty boon.
"O what on earth so joyous than one's face
Whilst in arms of a lover's warm embrace?"

Like a lonely breeze
On a sweltering day
A lonesome wanderer i am
Only drifting by and by
The swooning moon my light
The bitter seas my path
The morning star my guide
On yonder i sail by and by
To the unkwon i drift
Crushed by the bitter tides
Tides of hate i drown
Drown to the Atlantis
Whilst wandering i wonder
If i could ever find my way
My way back home
Enyas exile song inspired me to come up with this poem....Truly she's my favourite
I had the best
The very best of everything
Everything I ever dreamt of
Not until there came a day
A day when clouds of hate
Like a thief in the silent night
Sailed athwart my wild blue yonder
Obliterated my beauteous rainbow
A rainbow which never ceased to stun
And in a blink of an eye

Sauntering by the edge of a calm sea,
I thus squinted through the mirror of time,
And there, I beheld memories of us,
Ebbing like a wave to a distant clime;
Wistfully I saw our golden moments,
Ineffable moments we once relished,
Away vanishing by ragging torrents,
Yonder sea where they'll never be reached;
But, betwixt my despair I beheld clear
Shadows of my heart despite cold as frost,
In a jiffy erupted with sheer pleasure
On sojourning to our sweet golden past;

Truly true love dawns once in a life time,
And in a lover's heart ever doth chime.

Ahem, the night’s so long,
But hey, can’t be so wrong
To sing quite a silly song:

If you look at such a thing
With thine eyes round as a ring,
Ain’t the very silliest king.

Now I know you wonder
A king I am, but if you ponder
Enough like Homer’s Pandar,

You’ll know I’m the King of rhyme
And King of meter time after time.
This you’ll learn from clime to clime

Though the night’s pretty long,
But hey, you ain’t so wrong
To listen to such a silly song

Despite quite a funny thing
In mine eyes round as a ring,
That you’ve heed unto this king

All this while, my good friend!
Makes thee quite dumb in the end.
I say, close thine eyes and go to bed.

From the helter skelter
In a helter skelter dash
For solitude at the esker
I strayed in a labyrinth
Of dark soaring woods

Here-upon, trees begun to move!
An optical illusion it seemed to be,
Though a moment my eyes did love;
But in a mean time, out of kilter
Was the avenue to the esker.

Wandering midst soaring woods
Serendipitously there I beheld
An elegant creature,
A creature with a velvety
Pale unblemished skin,
Lilly white as porcelain,
Gaily yet opalescent as an opal,
With curling glossy auburn hair,
Mellifluously whispering a lullaby
With verve in the wanton air
Whilst flapping her wings
To take wing.

On feasting about her impeccable face,
It thus dawned upon me:
"She was not of this our world
But an alien, an angel rom outer space."

Swiftly, I gravitated towards her
And unto her said I was lost,
Lost like leaves beneath the frost
Upon my way for solitude at the esker
However the sheer cynosure
She'd taken my fancy
Hence moonstruck for sure.

She gagged me, cwtched me,
Enveloped me in her wings
And merrily took wing
Whilst I gallantly kissed,
Kissed her nectar kisser.

Past mullbery skies we soared,
All the way unto her land of bliss
Where upon we swam naked,
Naked in halcyon waters,
Waters of her land.

Together, we made poetry
Of love and life so blind,
Cherishing moment after moment
One could search forever to find,

Whilst gallivanting from star to star,
Only alone by ourselves on yonder
To a very distant colourful clime,
Yonder beyond restrictions of time.

Come let's flap our wings and tails,
Entwined, we'll raise our love-sails.
Sail away to a rose scented clime,
Yonder beyond restrictions of time.

Come let's sail where we'll never asunder,
But always in great fields of wonder,
Wondering the true magic of love,
Like a proud eagle aloft in skies above.

O come, you'll be my Queen, and I thy King;
To you, sweet melodies I'll always sing,
All day long through the ebony night,
Till in the wake of the golden dawn light.

Oh heaven’s most effulgent queen,
Rise and cast thy beams upon the green.

Upon dissipated streams of time,
In middle earth, in a fairy clime,
There once dwelt an aged man
Who’s tales were impeccably fun
Unto folks who lent him their ear
Whilst they sat entranced to hear
Him reeling off novelty folklore
Of goblins and dwarves of yore.
Of him legends go on and say
His tales glittered like a sun’s ray
Or silvery drops of dawn dew
Upon meadows of an emerald hue
Or the luster of the most effulgent star
That evermore beams forth from afar
Upon heaven’s timelessly stonking bay
In the most splendidly ineffable way.
Hearken ye ladies and gentlemen,
This’s no other than, J.R.R Tolkien.

My beloved angel
One with
Radiant hazel eyes
Chatoyant like clusters
Of stars
On a moonless night

My beloved angel
One with
A warm sultry smile
As to tempt wary kissers
Commit mischief

My beloved angel
One with
A pristine voice
So fresh
As to wake the dead
From their desolate
Silent graves

My beloved angel
One with a vivacious voice
So euphonious
As to elicit
The descent of angels
Down unto earth

My beloved angel
One with
A melodious voice
So harmonious
As to leave one
In a daze
Just mesmerized
Whilst stars scintillate
Athwart velvet skies

My beloved angel
One with
A dimpled cheek
Giving way for onlookers
As to be hypnotized
Whilst stars scintillate
Athwart velvet skies

My beloved angel
One with
Bona fide pulchritude
Which brings about
Myriads of creatures
From across all environs
Surrounding her
Gravitate towards her
As to crave
Such a ravishing queen

My beloved angel
One whose
Exuberant personality
Had me thrilled to bits
Vanished like whispers
In the wind

My Darling's eyes:
Embers of molten gold,
An ocean of stars nigh,
Mine eyes dost behold.

My Darling's eyes:
A pulchritude cauldron
Akin to the skie's lanterns
Yet are but of chalcedony.

My Darling's eyes:
To be on the mark
Are but diamond dunes
If not a fountain of sparks!

My Darling's eyes:
Effulgent stars in a cluster
Swaddling velvet night skies
With celestial shore luster.

#Be on the mark is an idiom that refers to be accurate or correct.
I have a Fairy that saith:
"Open shall be heaven's gate
To he who in the Lord has faith,
But doomed shall be the fate
To he who is evil after death.
Prepare for heaven before it's late
Coz as close as thy breath,
So is the doomsday date.

Plan well for the future,
So thou may dwell in realms
Of pleasant verdant pasture
And nectar flowing streams,
Whispering along with rapture
Of everlasting golden dreams."

There is
a mountain,
a retrospection-capped mountain
amid desolate lands marred with despair.
A mountain enveloped by
gloomy nostalgic clouds
with the coldness of confusion
relentlessly swirling in the air
whilst brazen bells ring reality
to announce the conqueror dawn.
A mountain nothing but

My heart is but a Hut
Of love amid a desolate Moor
Of loneliness. One whose thatches
Of love, the finest of all that doth glow.

My heart is but a Hut
Of memories amid a desolate Moor
Of nostaligia. One whose thatches
Of love now lost her heavenly glow.

My heart is but a Hut
Of wild longing amid a desolate Moor
Of doldrums. One whose thatches
Of love marred with coldness of snow.

For there came a strange day
When winds of hate in robes of sorrow
Assailed her, buffeted her thatches away
Thus now but a roofless heart evermore.

My heart is but a Hut
Of despair amid a desolate Moor
Of memorabilia. A heart now but a Hut
Plumed with golden moments evermore.
(I)

Pale mulberry was the sky,
No bird dared to fly!
Thus all seemed wrong,
But then, you came along
Suddenly like summer rain
And quelled away my pain.

(II)

Velvet blue was the sky,
No bird dared not to fly!
Thus all seemed right,
And as pure as a cloud in white,
When suddenly like the rainbow,
You quelled away thy heavenly glow.

(III)

Dark grey is the sky,
No bird seems to ever fly!
Athwart my wild blue yonder
Where I, indignantly do ponder
Night and day wondering why,
We can't give it just one more try.

(IV)

Pitch black is always the sky,
But, faster than any bird I'll fly!
Swifter than a scudding cloud
Whilst calling upon you so loud,
All the way to a strange plain,
Just to ever feast about you again.

(V)

Magenta magic will always be the sky,
When once again we'll merilly fly!
Then, flowers once again shall bloom,
To see you and me as bride and groom
By a placid Mulberry Moon on the rise,
To kindle our enchanted paradise.

Not far from here there’s a novelty eye
All bedight with exquisite lashes of gold—
That smiles at all mortals and all that didst die:

Sometimes she’s jolly, sometimes she doth cry—
At peep of dawn till dusk with tears of gold
That smiles at all mortals and all that didst die.”

So sang a wandering wind through the rye.
There’s an eye like of a tiger so bold—
Not far from here there’s a novelty eye;

All animals have seen, all birds of sky—
   Whose shine like a rose in bloom doth unfold;
That smiles at all mortals and all that didst die.

Some say, far from fairyland she doth ply”—
Sang the fish in lonely seas deep and cold.
“Not far from here there’s a novelty eye,

A wandering dove went cooing by and by:
Though her strange beauty is yet to be told—
Not far from here there’s a novelty eye—
That smiles at all mortals and all that didst die.
A friend of mine asked me how would I describe the sun unto the blind and right up there is what I came up with, a villanelle poem. Hope thou hast enjoyed reading this villanelle.

FORGOTTEN RULES OF A VILLANELLE: A villanelle is a poem of 19 lines broken down into 5 tercets and a quatrain. The first and last line of the first Tercet are repeated alternately throughout each Tercet and in the final quatrain both lines make the foot (couplet) of that quatrain. Each line is decasyllabic and in iambic pentameter. Lastly, thou must never forget that the rhyming scheme is ABA, ABA, ABA, ABA, ABA, ABAA.

Besides, dear reader—hope thou art splendiferous and salubrious. Wishing thee a Merry Christmas and a blissful new year.

Kind regards,
Bard Of Nineva.

Not snowy seraphs of heaven above
Nor lustrous gems by heaven's stonking wall,
Shall outshine the eternal mark of love
Thou blazoned upon the skin of my soul.
Though midst my wake and dreaming hours I know,
Heaven's meanest pier is of burnished gold,
And celestial shores chatoyant than snow,
But all not as bright as the mark I hold.
For when fickle time in layers of life
Shalt shroud me, and away I must then run
To meet the judge of souls, lest lasting grief
Were my soul's fate, I mean to burn and burn,
The fragrance of thy love could still linger
Freshly upon my soul's fading ember.

Kikodinho Edward Alexandros,

After reading what is arguably the loveliest poem ever written by man, Sonnet 116 "Let Me Not To The Marriage Of True Minds" by the ancient wise, The Bard Of Avon, William Shakespeare, from such naked truth to transcend in perpetuum, there I drew the inspiration to pen one nighly akin unto his that depicts how far love canst travel hence the sonnet above.

Secondly, long hast I penned poetry unto friends, unto many others, but none unto my parents not until I penned two unto my father not so many moons ago after his death. Verily, it doth hurt knowing I canst never recite him one though from the two I penned, I'll have one engraved upon his sepulchre upon going home.

So, now that I did such a great mistake I canst never forgive of my self, the Sonnet above is wholeheartedly dedicated to the lady who gave birth to me 25 years ago. Honestly, this lady I'm proud to call MOTHER hath been a PHENOMENAL WOMAN unto me in a myriad of ways mere WORDS CAN'T DEPICT...so, upon going home I'll have this sonnet with a snap of her and me inscribed...and I'll have it well recited unto her in my local language, something I'm working upon as I've never penned one in my mother tongue, but I dost pray unto He who dwelleth atop effulgent yonder stars to render me ethereal wisdom such that I may capture the images as depicted for her to fully know how much I truly LOVE Her.

Lastly, if thou hast someone whom thou dost revere that way, the Sonnet above sails thy way as well.

Thank ye for reading, dear friends. God bless ye.
Not so many moons ago,
Thy starry eyes once saw me as a lover
Funny how now glare at me
Like an enemy glaring at a knight

Not so many moons ago,
Thy voice once was the softest tone
Funny how now I'm deafened
By these terrible shrieks

Not so many moons ago,
Thy smile was but a rose in bloom
Funny how now it's but
Wilted marigolds and mimossas

Not so many moons ago,
Thy heart once was the softest gem
Funny how now calloused
More than diamond

Not so may moons ago,*
Thy love once was all chalcedonic colors
Funny how now dark is thy soul
Darker than a moonless night

Through Nineva's ever rollin' hills
Over meadows of verdant green
Well watered by eternal nectar rills
There we must away with eyes keen.

Yonder woods shadowy and wide,
Motionless since days began,
As swift as falls rain there we ride
And seek our stolen gold while we can.

Though mighty stars, moon and sun,
Upon heaven's ever stonking bay
Might all cease to shine and burn,
There we must away ere break of day.

Yonder vale, yonder hills, yonder briars,
Yonder chasms dim and deep we ride,
Past thorny thickets, through beast's liars,
There our chariots ride as swift as a tide,

With our swords sharp as the sun's rays
To seek our gold from enchanted hoards
Where creatures lament sweet olden days
Long before cloven with magical swords

By dwarf lords in eternal halls of stone
That upon 'em casted mighty spells
Sharper than sunbeams that ever shone,
There we must away ere our bell knells.

Through Nineva's ever rollin' hills
Past meadows of verdant green
Well watered by eternal nectar rills,
There we must away with eyes keen.

Yonder woods shadowy and wide,
Motionless since days began,
As swift as falls rain there we ride
And seek our stolen gold while we can.

Beneath many a galloping stream
That forevermore never find the sea,
For there things ain't what they seem
By day or by night unto the naked eye.

There we must ride past  mountains high
Twixt darkling woods cold and old,
As swift as a wind beneath the night sky
And seek our long stolen harps of gold

Despite there all woods have eyes
For the dwarf Lord upon his throne
That evemore beams than starry skies
There we ride and seek our golden crown

In a realm where fairly shone forever
In days long dead and burried in time,
But though sun, moon & stars shine never
There we must away from clime to clime

Through Nineva's ever rollin' hills
Past meadows of verdant green
Well watered by eternal nectar rills,
There we must away with eyes keen.

Yonder woods shadowy and wide,
Motionless since days began,
As swift as falls rain there we ride
And seek our stolen gold while we can.

Ode sung by King Boriyon and his men through Nineva's shadowy forests on the quest for their long enchanted gold by dwarf lords in dungeons deep that upon 'em casted mighty spells whose mystery no mortal could ever tell nor unfurl.

#tales of Nineva

P.S. Nineva is a magical kingdom in Kiko's legendarium, a miscellany of tales of mystery, wizardry and maccabre that never cease to stun whoever doth lend me his or her ear.

Boriyon was son of Marianah Boriyon, daughter of Nineva's last black smith. Of him legends say he went against all odds to annihilate all evil that upon Nineva loomed like a veil of everlasting night, and restored the long dreamt harmony that once pervaded the realm like as gems immensely dost abound shores of Elysium.
All flowers spring from the bud,
And waves from bellows of the ocean,
Thunder springs from the cloud,
And ataraxy from a zephyr's motion.

Day springs from the ebony night,
And night from fading beams of day,
From fire springs flames of light,
And many a time crockery from clay.

The mountains spring from the earth,
And from pleasant bowers a haven,
Fountains of love unto joy give birth,
And stars from the shores of heaven.

All vapor springs from the water,
And rain from the far melting skies,
From the sun springs a golden glitter,
And pulchritude from my lover's eyes.

Unto she who'll never read it.
I wish you were the night
And I were the day,
To ever dim my light
And fade into timeless beauty.

Yet,

I wish you were the day
And I were the night
To ever roll down and stray
Into the warmth of thy light.
