Sweet little lily,
She asked me for my name.
Then once she kissed me,
I had never felt the same.

All these kisses are now poison,
Burning scars onto my cheek.
When my lily she did leave me,
I drowned down by Silas creek.
I am not a blank slate
I have been scribbled on, broken and chipped
White dust remains
Covering up the black abyss
Wipe away the dust, you will find more
Compacted, seeping into the cracks of the foundation
The surface engulfed in powder
Powder of heartache, pain, betrayal, remorse, loneliness, despair, deception, manipulation
I erase it to start anew
the mist of white is a reminder that it’s there
it’s not gone
it will never be
it will never be new

— The End —
