I could win every poetry award
a conformity that I cannot afford
it might be ok for those who are bored
as for me, its not important to be adored

maybe I just belong in a ward
I dont respect any poetry board
time to score that umbilical cord
as for me, I'll just go on being ignored

devil dance
GaryFairy Nov 2014
If you keep banging on the devil's door
someone is bound to answer
those who don't know why they bleed
have their blood lapped up by panthers

(firing at the sky, toward crows
the doves will be falling
before you load up your gun
remember who you're calling)

when bad things are done for good
we are taking chances
when you whistle that old tune
the devil always dances

Sleeping dogs are kicked
just to hear them bark
we stare at the sun
and stay in the dark

the dead men tell tales
and we make our horses drink
a rolling stone gathers moss
and **** doesn't stink

we are better sorry than safe
the sword is mightier than the pen
practice never makes perfect
it's all just pretend

two wrongs make a right
never is better than late
we don't see our own sight
we are what we hate

we look gift horses in the mouth
while birds of a feather peck each others eyes out

messed up views
GaryFairy Oct 2014
Don't stick to the tried and true
try to do what you die to do
I have no reason to lie to you
it'd also be myself that I'm lying to

I take no time to think it through
I think I do, just think and do
give them a reason to drink to you
or you might be with them just drinking too

then again, if I were you, I would never take advice

Society put me together
with pieces of hearts and parts of brains
this dead flesh is not really me
the scars might heal, but pain remains

(Disassembled)

you can tear me limb from limb
rip apart my heart within
the fire is lit, even though it's dim
for your sins, I live again

(Reassembled)

build me with artistic hands
burn me with no passive brands
I am more than just a man
only darkness understands...

(Organs)

build me with more thought this time
give me the eyes of Nostradamus
the fist of Charles bukowski
give me the heart of Dylan thomas

(the monster is complete)

not a form to stand and admire
what's to admire lives inside
now too strong to burn with fire
it's alive! run and hide!

(It walks this earth)

for many years, man has hid
from what they do and what they did
this monster is all you get
you're the ones I have come to rid

The rose bush

growing in an open field
nurtured by hands that heal
what love does a flower feel
what love does a flower build

a single bloom

small and dull like a sprout
no other flowers would came out
she was only left without
and forgotten by hands of doubt

withering away

with no one to help her needs
the tiny little rose petal bleeds
songbirds swallow up her seeds
as she is covered up by weeds

When johnny comes marching home from war
johnny isnt johnny anymore
too many images have been absorbed
and johnny isnt johnny anymore

what happened to the soldier so strong?
i'm telling you, something is wrong

they go over there and take away life
then come back home and **** their wife
with no war thats left to fight
and they dont know that ****** isnt right

when a battlefield is the only place you belong
i'm telling you, something is wrong

siren silence
GaryFairy Oct 2014
Sitting in the siren silence
within sight of invites of violence
in the sky, the plight of tyrants
righteous mighty fighter pilots

and the war rages on
there are no commercial breaks

in the eyes of subsidence
the dying cries of compliance
the price they paid is the highest
siren silence finally quiets

Times have changed and so have i
but i was stubborn as the time flew by
change isnt easy even though i try
maybe i will be this way until i die

times have changed and so have you
who you really are, i dont have a clue
change is easy when nothing is true
maybe you just wanted a different view

times have changed and so have we
something happened between you and me
change isnt easy, it will never be
maybe we should be happy to be free

fine line - redone
GaryFairy Aug 2014
It's a fine line between wrong and right
the line divides like day and night
no grey defined, black or white
a mind that's blind or finds the light

it's a fine line between love and hate
someday it fades, then it's too late
maybe the way is decided by fate
some get to play and some always wait

I'm so tired, cant sleep, cant rest
resting is hard, with all this stress
stressful life, always put to the test
testing my patience, making me a mess

messing me up and keeping me down
downward thoughts, on the ground
grounded by the misery found
finding myself forever bound

Natural Life
GaryFairy Dec 2013
My home is the whispering willow
where shade and rest can be found
a clump of grass, I use for a pillow
I make my bed right on the ground

my home is in the flowing stream
where the cool waters seem to heal
the sounds seem like i'm in a dream
but my senses tell me that it's real

my home is on the mountain top
where the squirrels and rabbits play
my natural life, I would never swap
I just can't see it any other way

In the darkest of night they rise
without humanity in their eyes
rotting flesh and beastly bones
rising like blood thirsty clones

When they rise, the end is near
the world becomes full of fear
by that time, it's way too late
torture and death is your fate

The time to suffer is coming fast
then none of us are going to last
so much blood sure to be shed
on this night of the living dead.

Never Say Not - Homophone Poem

where the water flow was WEAK for a WEEK
we couldn't set SAIL for the SALE
I might look PALE because I needed a PAIL

see, my WHOLE boat is full of HOLES
when it SEES the SEAS it always rolls
I can see THEIR boats over THERE
I just stand on the STAIR and STARE

I wish TO be out there sailing TOO
there's something DUE that I must DO
I don't KNOW how to say NO
never say NOT and let the KNOT go
I tried to make some sense. LOL

seems like dividing lines are blurry
I don't know if i'm in my lane

the pavement is as hot as a flame

Riding on the road to ruin
trash lined and lost highway
I never knew what I was doin
but I still chose to go my way

looking at oil stained pavement

driving right where the brave went
seemingly stuck in between

it is turning to a road of gravel
soon to be mud and dirt
as I watch my road unravel
it is only me that I hurt

Why do I have this curse?
of foretelling doom in verse
a spell that I can't reverse
if I stop, it will get much worse

how can this be controlled?
so I can tell of tales untold

all the secrets that I must hold

why did it happen to me?
forced to write of what I see
am I somehow part of the key?
will I ever find a way to be free?
