Such a deep pond, this
but nobody pushed me in
I dived with joy
I thought it would be
such cooling water
endorsing my joy
I never thought
never realised
I would end up
gasping for air.

and adores
Frances Raeburn May 2023

and put them back together
bit by bit
crack by crack

let’s learn to miss it
heart by heart

Old
Hold my hand
before we get too old
Frances Raeburn May 2023
I’ve made it this far
nothing or no one

to  what I am running
from.
Frances Raeburn May 2023

that I cannot erase
marks upon my skin
shadows
exposed by truth
memories
celebrated by youth.
