"Voices In My Head"
Eiza Ivelisse Oct 16
I am trying to get better.
But the voices in my head
just keep getting louder.
Saying, "You'll never be
a perfect daughter.
Let alone be a better partner."

I then looked in the mirror.
I almost believed what I've heard
after seeing a loser.
What's there to ask,
when I already have the answer?
"I will never be enough
and never will be better."

Maybe I should stop fighting
and just surrender.
To the voices in my head,
speaking truths in a whisper.
"Will everything be better then,
I wonder?"
If I just let it consume—devour.

"A Tale Of Suicide"
Eiza Ivelisse Mar 2018
She always smiled, and finally had cried,
She got tired of all those people who lied;
Her eyes, no longer bright and wide,
This is a story about a girl who died.

She cut her wrist and watched it drip,
With blood so red, as the color of her lip;
She took the chance, not letting it slip,
She added more to the wrist she had slit.

It wasn’t enough, so she tied a noose,
Making sure it was secure, not loose;
She grabbed a chair and took off her shoes,
There she stood, covered in bruise.

She never found ways,
To die, without a trace;
But the thought of finally dying, made her heart race,
She then pushed the chair, with a smile on her face.

"Unrequited"
Eiza Ivelisse Mar 2018
To have descried
such lugubrious expression
on your chiseled face;
the moment I said,

"You make my heart race."

That's when I knew;
You weren't for me to take.
