As you pack up your papers
and stow them away.
Your footsteps will lead you to a brighter day
They say

You saddle your horse
who has been waiting for you
On this dusty trail trampled with horseshoe
But you gaze upon the landscape
of a world a-new.
All the while
Trying not to look back
at the world
you once only knew.

And dont too soon stop in your tracks
as juxtaposition you feel
Will cause your collapse.
For the lasso in which you were hogtied,
Still leaves in you cracks.

So without compass you aim your shot
Firing off all the bullets
in you, you've got.
For this cowboy,
has surely gone through a lot
But a lot is subjective,
And a lot might be little.
The thoughts are piercing
And do cause unsettle.

But cowboy,
You're on your own
There's nothing left inside you to find.
So saddle up.
Just ride, cowboy
Ride.
To old endings, to new beginnings

Words sting my reason
Injecting venom of your freedom
Poisoning my poor persistence, you
diffused toxic waste into my
vain

Drugging me once again
To a self-loathing state
Weakening my body as your aura emanate
And suffocate.
And with heaviness
You weigh me down.
And while unable to move
You held me down

Forcing me to think rashly
I couldn't make it
With words of encouragement
I couldn't fake it
And reaching no conclusion
I end it

You emerged at the best of times
To offer me your perspective
In a time where I was doing just fine.
You leant over to rest your warmth
On my sensitive skin you engulfed
My energy into a fume setting forth
More than I could bear.

You played your drum
To which familiar voices dance.
Beating the fire till soot to become
A grave of all that I knew was once
Was not
And taken over by your gentle hand
You coursed through my veins
Burning all before you only to brand
The inside of my skull, my reasoning gland.

To control my senses you wrote
In words that appeared in fiery smoke.
"Despair was misunderstood" you said,
And you left with all I once knew was true.
You stepped aside viewing your creation as I lay hopeless to see all that I've bled.

The glares blind
the juice flowing from our mind.
In the cold space
That which we hope a saving grace,
Would break the societal chain
Of burdens so heavy.
the weight cracks the glass of our spirit
And seeps into sinking cells
Whispering bitter discouragement that it
poisons the sweet turning it dull
Weakening what little strength we forced.

But the toxic ammunition
Does not destroy our wills
For there's still our intuition
That throws up arms
To soar high and reach a peak
coming down with a force of
thundering drills.

Making the sight clear
Of what needs to be done,
As the strict clock follows orders
he signals the cease of glares
With the force of a gun.
