O, Fair Abode, Thou Never Open'dst Thy Door

When far from thee, my heart doth ache
With pangs of longing, and a deep heart's sake
For thee, dear home, I do beseech
Why dost thou shut thy door, and leave me to beseech?

Thy threshold, once a promise of warm delight
Now stands as sentinel, guarding the cold, dark night
Thy windows, once bright eyes, that shone with love's pure light
Now dimly gaze upon me, with a dispassionate sight

O, cruel fate, that doth deny me entrance
To thee, dear home, where love and warmth do make their residence
A wanderer, I roam, in search of peaceful nest
But thou, dear home, dost mock my hopes, and put'st me to unrest

Yet still, my heart doth hold on to love's sweet fire
That once, I thought, did burn within thy secret choir
And though thou never open'dst thy door to me
My heart, dear home, doth still remain, in love's sweet ecstasy.
The poem explores the theme of longing and sense of homes and belongings ,and the pain of rejection and disappointment.

Perhaps it was me”

Perhaps it was me, who drew the line
Between love and heartache, between what's mine
Perhaps it was me, who walked away
From the ghosts of our past, from the price we'd pay

Perhaps it was me, who chose to hide
Behind the mask of pride, where emotions divide
Perhaps it was me, who let go too soon
Of the threads that bound us, of the love we'd begun

Perhaps it was me, who didn't say
The words that needed saying, the words that could've stayed
Perhaps it was me, who didn't try
To bridge the gap between us, to reach the other side

But perhaps it was me, who learned to let go
To release the weight of what could've been, to watch it flow
Perhaps it was me, who found my way
Through the darkness and the pain, to a brighter day

Perhaps it was me, who discovered my strength
In the broken pieces of my heart, in the lessons I've learned at length
Perhaps it was me, who rose from the ashes cold
To find my voice, to tell my story, to unfold.

A weight presses upon my chest
A burden that's hard to repress
The smile I wear, a disguise so thin
A mask that hides the pain within
The world outside moves with ease
While I'm stuck in this dark unease
The laughter and joy, a distant hum
A reminder of what's been undone
In the mirror, a stranger's face
A reflection of a troubled place
The eyes that stare, a deep despair
A soul that's searching, without a care
The silence screams, the darkness calls
A whisper that echoes, through it all
A heart that's breaking, a soul that's worn
A cry for help, in the dead of dawn
About the mind

Every caress, a calculated move,
Left me questioning, your true intent to prove.
Your fingers tracing, my skin so fine,
But were you seeking, more than love's design?

Your lips on mine, a tender embrace,
Or just a tactic, to occupy the space?
Your whispers sweet, a gentle breeze,
Or merely words, to bring me to my knees?

Every moment shared, I searched for truth,
But your eyes betrayed, a hidden youth.
A veil of deceit, behind your smile,
Leaving me vulnerable, for a long while.

I yearned for genuine love's pure flame,
Not a façade, to conceal your aim.
But with each touch, my doubts did grow,
Was I just a pawn, in your game to show?

To be seen without been compromised
To be touched without been violated
To be heard without begging
To be loved without no conditions.

Soul
A life once full, now forever still
A voice silenced; a heart chilled
A woman's body, broken and worn A soul crushed, by violence born
She walked with grace with hopeful eyes But darkness stalked with wicked guise A predator's grasp, a fatal squeeze
Her cries unheard, her pleas freeze
****'s brutal hand left her to die
A life extinguished a future denied
Her dreams, her laughter, her shining light Snuffed out, in endless, darkest night
Her story is one of countless more
A statistic in a gruesome score
A woman's life, reduced to shame
A victim blamed with no one to claim
But we remember her name, her face,
Her strength, her courage in a hopeless place We honour her in death's dark veil
And vow to fight for justice's frail
Let her memory ignite...
A fire that fuels a movement's might
To end the violence, the abuse, the pain And bring to justice, the perpetrators' stain
May her soul find peace in eternal rest And her story, inspire a world to protest Against the silence, against the shame And fight for women's rights to reclaim.
