If you could read my mind,
You’d see a thousand papers
Filled with broken poetries
And deadbeat proses
Full of woeful verses
With mournful pieces
Of unfinished stories
That are yet to be written
And failed to be spoken;
If you could read my mind,
You’d hear horrible screams
And earsplitting weeps
From shattered dreams,
Kept in a nasty notepad,
Scribbled on a bed
Of bloodstained words,
Ringing in my head.
If you could read my mind,
You’d see the shadows
That lurk within me;
You’d hear the bellows,
Screeching the words
“I’m tired,”
“I’m a failure,”
“I’m stupid –”
I know it sounds stupid,
It’s pathetically foolish
And seems too *******.
If you could read my mind,
You’d feel the tears
I had ever failed to cry;
You’d see the people
That make the weak weaker;
You’d see the monsters
That consume my head;
You’d hear the hollers
That failed to be freed;
You’d see the heart
That still bleeds and bleeds.
If you could read my mind,
You’d see the face
I’ve failed to show back then,
The face I’ve faked back then.
If you could read my mind,
You’d see a character
I had ever failed to become
If you could read my mind,
You’d be able to read
A book you never wished
To touch and read,
But sometimes I still wish
Someone could read my mind.
We fell in love by chance,
We stay in love by choice.

It’s raining,
And I wish you were here.
Because, and I know it’s cliché,
But I’m falling a lot harder
Than this rain, and dear,
It’s torrential here.
But these sheets of rain
Remind me of the sheets we share,
And I’d just as quickly
Wrap myself up in them
If I thought you were in there, too.
It’s 101° there.
But here it’s raining.
And I miss you.

This picture holds emotion
Still in motion
I long to see our happiness
Our smiles
Our eyes say it all
It reminds me of a time
We said I love you
Without ever needing to say it out loud
A picture is worth a thousand words
But this one is worth only three

The three things I never got to say to you

Could be, would be, should be.
The future circulates through my blood
more that the current flow of life.

B.E.- Better Every day
But everyday I strive for a better vision of my story book ending,
more than the art I'm cultivating on my day page.

The simple complexities that intertwine time and grasp my look are mistook as gravel.
Rather they should manifest stepping stones that are apt to carry the weight of the now.
To transport
To lift
To break as they deteriorate
Transitioning to the next fate.

One step at a time I tell myself,
Be Better Today
thinking of where I'm going instead of where I'm at presently

We say these things that are parts of our souls.
The true workings that embody ourselves,
pouring out inner secrets of what make us, us.
I've been thinking,
do we really admire the depths to each other?
Or is it these idealized virtual depictions we've created for one another?
I don't share much, but when it's with you I feel...comfortable.
Does it feel that way for you,
or is it this box we've created in our own world?
Made up versions of each other.
Our bodies are distant, but our minds are close.
Connected beyond anatomy.
My life is forever changed because of you.
